Warm and very easy to get on and off. Height and fit keeps the snow out better than slip on work boots. Good foot and ankle support without feeling restrictive. Good traction.

These boots were among the most comfortable shoes, Merrell or any other kind, I have ever had. They are new to me, but I wore them for two full and active days, and they did not need any break-in period. Instead they were comfortable immediately out of the new box. I usually have some trouble getting into boots, but the side zippers made it easyand so I would lobby for more boot styles with zippers like this. I appreciated the light weight too!

Fits snug in arch at first but this adds to stability of boot fit. (12M). Best all weather zip boot on the market. Buy a new pair ever year. Use all year around

I bought these to replace the Merrel boots i bought 9yrs ago, they were pull on, i wore them through 3 seasons a year. they got a little loose. These arrived, what a difference, the sole, the whole build excellent. I've never had a zipper, but the fit is better, the zipper snag proof, maybe run a wax crayon down it, keeps it moving easy. They cleanup easy too.

These have survived 2 Minnesota winters working outside. They are unbelievably lightweight & warm enough for 10 hour work days at around 0F. -20F is pushing the issue, but with a second pair of socks on those days, I still have all my toes. Normally they're as waterproof as any high end boot I've had, although there was one extremely slushy day I can remember where my feet ended up a bit damp. They dried out overnight without a fuss though. I can't honestly say any other pair of non-rubber boots would've fared any better though. The ice traction is fantastic. I didn't grow up in a snow state so before I got these, I used to fall on my butt far more than I'd be willing to admit. With them, my odds are much better. I think I'll get the black pair when the weather starts cooling down again & switch between them. Can't recommend them more.

2nd pair ... 1st pair lasted 4+ years, almost daily wear! Enjoy the boots!

These were perfectly sized. Very lightweight and comfortable. Great boot with enough insulation for warmth but not too heavy.

Lightweight, warm and comfortable

This is my second year wearing these boots casually. They keep my feet very warm when the temps are low. I have gotten them wet in puddles and low creek crossing without any leaks. Great boot all around. I will be buying again when these wear out. I only wear them from fall through winter so I imagine I'll get two more years out of them. I may purchase a pair next year in case they stop manufacturing them.

These are, without a doubt, the best boots, winter or otherwise, that I have ever owned. Incredible slip resistance, ultra warm (I use them in minus 20F), and really good fit. I am the person who normally DESTROYS a pair of shoes/boots in a matter of 3-4 months due to the weather conditions I live in (I do a lot of trekking, walking etc in Aspen, Colorado); as well as my job which requires me to be outside in the worst conditions. These boots are the best thing for harsh conditions. The marriage between the Vibram Arctic Grip soles and Merrell's bulletproof insulation and build quality yield a boot so capable you'll wonder why you didn't buy it sooner. Highly, highly, recommended!!

I have been wearing Merrell brand shoes for a few years now and have been very happy with the quality and filt (size 14 mens). This was my first mail order with the company. The booths fit very well and are durable, comfortable and warm without being hot. I use these boots for my work and leisure.

So far so good with these boots. I needed warm boots that made walking on ice safer. These seem to do the job.

This is a waterproof lightweight boot that zips up to make a snug fit! I use it daily to do chores outside. It appears to be well made with light insulation to make it comfortable outside & ok for inside! I like it!

The side zipper offers easy access to the boot which encompasses its best feature. One does not have to deal with gnarly, wet laces or seek a bench to put on or take off. This is particularly handy when leaving the gym or hitting the Apres-ski. The insulation keeps one's feet very warm which is its second best feature. Either color is desirable for a casual, bar dress look.

Now let me tell you why... I have a strange gig. I live in warm, sunny Florida, yet every week fly to the Dakotas or (insert other very cold wintertime location here), returning home every weekend. I absolutely abhor having cold feet so these boots were precisely what I was looking for. I don't even have to wear thick socks with these boots to keep the chillies at bay; regular dress socks do just fine. They go on smooth as a pair of gloves thanks to the side zipper and my feet are immediately ensconced in warmth and comfort; without that 'booty'-feel of cramped, stuffy foot imprisonment. I also dig the fact that there is no metal in the boots; so I don't have to remove them when I go through TSA Pre-Check lines at the airport. I appreciate that. I haven't had any problems with walking in (or on) snow, ice, etc so traction isn't an issue and my feet stay warm in that frozen tundra nonsense. Last but not least, they look great.
