For a "Barefoot" shoe, it seemed to really over-pronate my feet and put a lot of pressure on my outer arch. Unlike the Vapor 4, which fits more like a neutral barefoot shoe. Bummer, because otherwise I loved them!

These shoes are NOT pretty but they feel great. Really nice support and true to size. I am satisfied

The rest of the shoe was as comfortable as advertised, but the edge of the asymmetrical tongue cut into the top of my foot. Was concerned about chafing so returned.

I liked these shoes the minute I tried them on. The fit was perfect, they had the arch support I needed and I liked the look. Now I love these shoes and am ordering a 2nd pair. I spent 4 days at Disneyland and walked between 10 and 12 miles each day. My feet did not hurt at all!! My ankles weren't sore, which sometimes happens when we are at Disneyland. My only problem is with odor. I'm hoping machine washing with vinegar and baking soda will help.

The Merrell Trail Glove 4 is a great shoe. It is comfortable and light - relatively minimalist. I own a size 9 which fits okay, except that my big toe hits the front of the shoe (just a bit). In an attempt to solve that problem, I bought a size 9.5. Unfortunately, the 9.5 was too long and the tongue didn't sit well - it bunched up on top of my foot, perhaps because I had to tighten the laces a lot. The 9.5 is going back, and I'll stick with size 9. Despite the less than perfect length, I love the shoe and would buy it again.

Again, a very fine Merrell, and Trail Glove. One less star because it is a bit wider than the others I've purchased over the years. It would be good to offer a narrow!!

This is the first pair of Merrell shoes I have purchased and overall I am very pleased. They are incredibly comfortable with or without socks. They fit my feet like a glove and I've found myself looking for reasons to where them since I bought them. Pretty excited about my purchase!

I wanted to love these. I love the style, I loved the way they felt when I first put them on, but after taking them for a test run I've determined that the toe box is way too narrow, they feel a full size too small, and the interior seams seem likely to cause chafing, so socks were mandatory. They're also incredibly hot with zero breathability. Even on a cool, breezy day, not a whiff of air made it inside. With a larger size and a sock on, they initially felt like THE ONES! and I thought for sure I would keep them despite being hot on my feet; but the narrow toe box meant that every step on a descent crushed my toes and toe nails (which I keep short!). Bummer.

Really like the fit and color, just wish the sole was a bit thicker.

This will be my third pair of Merrell barefoot-style shoes. I really like them. Comfortable right out of the box. I like the roomy toe box. It's the next best thing to no shoes at all. Based on my older Merrells, I ordered a half size up. It fits but has plenty of room. My regular size might have been fine. I'll keep them since I wear them with a thin no-show sock. As another reviewer mentioned, the tongue is sewn down on one side. It's kind of strange, but I still like the shoes. Sine this shoe has such a generous toe box, it might not fit someone with a narrow foot.

These shoes would have been perfect for me, but I? really need a shoe with no laces. Have to return for a different shoe.

I love this shoe, and this is the second pair I've purchased in the last 3 months. However, the mesh at the outside of the foot near the toe started to tear on both shoes after only a few weeks of use. I hope this doesn't happen on my new shoes. This product is otherwise excellent, which is why I didn't hesitate to buy a second pair

Good for running on a trail and protect toes from stray rocks and branches. Not very good for a gym though.

I bought my first pair of Trail Gloves well over a year ago and they just fit so well! There was no breaking in or blisters, just perfect fit from day 1. There was some minor tearing on the fabric on the top after a few months, but this did not affect the comfort or protection of the shoe.

I had previously wore the Vapor Glove 2, and I wanted to try a bit more sole. After 2 days of walking, these shoes are comfortable, supportive, and flexible, right out of the box! I'm not crazy about the color scheme of these shoes, but I'll deal with it for the comfort.

Nice pair but had to return because they tend to bend inwards (instep), when I walk. It also felt little too snug (got my usual Merrell size 6.5). I was expecting these to be more supportive because of its vibram soles but did not feel different or better from my Bare Access Flex. I was looking for better pair to help me with my plantar fasciitis. I will continue with my search.

This is really is nice looking shoe!!! I loved that the tongue only opened on the outside side of the shoe, very unique and I didn't have to fight with trying to even out the tongue after putting the shoe on or work at getting it up into place. Overall this shoe felt to narrow, and the arch support was to high, narrow and rigid for my feet. I wish this shoe had "fit like a glove" as I really liked the style and colors, but am going to have to return.

The foot-bed is a little harder than expected, however I"m transitioning from Nike Frees which are quite flexible. I've workout several times in these shoes and they're great!

This shoe fits like a glove. It is lightweight, very flexible, and yet offers better support than a casual shoe without having to lace up big clumsy looking workout runners. I wanted something with support for the arch that wouldn't look ridiculous with summer skirts and dressy shorts. Merrell is my favorite casual footwear. This siren red color looks great.

I ordered these (first pair of Merrells!) a month ago, and I immediately loved them. I tend to roll my feet outward due to high arches, so I figured trying a low profile sneaker would be a good idea. I mostly use these to walk my dog on sidewalks (5 mile walks) but recently wore them all day in NYC. These have really helped with heel tightness and calf/hip fatigue I was experiencing, and the wide toe box is also wonderful for my wide-ish, hard to fit feet. Only complaint is I have two rips starting on my right foot, one on the outside of the big toe, and one on top by my pinky toe. I have only put about 60 or so miles on these so this is pretty disappointing. Otherwise I really like them and would purchase again (given the ripping is an anomaly.)

Very comfortable shoe. Footbed is a bit narrow, but otherwise fits as expected. Good looking, and have gotten lots of complements. Nearly flat heel is a plus.
