I have never owned a warm hoodie until I received this in the mail. My idea of warmth was to just add weight and add weight until I could barely move. It's incredible to me that I have been wearing such a lightweight hoodie that keeps me THIS warm and resistant to various weather conditions, I will surely be back for another piece of equipment.

Amazingly warm and wind resistant while being very breathable. Mobility is awesome for climbing, stretchy with great reach, hem stays in place under a harness. So comfortable, I can live in this thing all day from being active to lounging on the couch. Ideal temp range for me is about 30 with a heavier base layer up to about 55 with a very thin base assuming moderate activity like climbing or light hiking.

Light, compressible, and pretty breathable. For me (run a bit hot) its the kind of layer to put on during the uphill if its 10 F or below when calm, or 10-25 F and windy. Solid mid-layer when stationary or on the downhill.

This jacket is perfect. It's lightweight I mean feels less than a pound and keeps me warm in breezy conditions in Buffalo, New York. It's exceptional.

Jacket is comfortable at 35-75 degrees with only a t-shirt while moving at 3mph. If standing still, I need a down or fleece layer at 45 degrees. 11.5 ounces, windproof, water resistant, layers easily & breaths great. If sweat builds up, it dries in 1-2-3 minutes with a light wind. Top pocket holds lip balm & iPhone. This is THE fleece mid layer you have always been looking for.

Breatheable and comfy! I've been wearing it about every day since I bought it. Works well in ~30 degree temps for slow skinning. I'm looking forward to trying it in colder conditions next winter.

More wind resistant and warmer than expected in temps @in the high 30s(F). Would likely need something over it with anything colder.

This is my new favorite layer. Light, cozy, warm as a mid layer. I bike commute & sweat in it and it doesn't stink. I wear it at my desk at work when I'm cold. I wear it as a mid layer for skiing and snow camping.

use this to run and xc ski and under heavier jackets when it gets down to zero and below. Very comfortable like the thumb hooks and deep pockets without zippers. wear everyday round and about Northern Minnesota.

This is the perfect mid layer for cold weather and works great as a stand alone for chilly days. The slim fit makes it very comfortable under a shell. No zippers on the pockets is not an issue - the pockets are deep and hold my iPhone 11 easily. I'm 6 ft and weigh 172 lbs - size large fits great!

They're right, it's my new favorite light rain or shine mild weather hoody. Whether early spring or late fall this jacket keeps me warm enough walking around outside without overheating. Worn primarily in 30-50 degree weather. I've never gotten wet in it, but have only worn it for about 30 minutes in light rain. Incredibly light, the ascendant also makes for an excellent midlayer under a water proof shell or thicker jacket.

I wear this jacket everywhere. Keeps me just at the right temp to be real comfortable! Size is a bit small so I'd recommend sizing up.. I wish they sold these in XXL :(

Back country skiing is how i most use the Ascendant. Quite impressed with the versatility. After the initial climb and i'm soaked with sweat, I throw this on and it's wicking capabilities pretty well dries me off. I will generally leave it on the rest of the day. If it's real cold and/or windy I'll throw a shell on over it.

I really like this jacket. It's the closest I've ever come to being able to wear one jacket without changes while ski touring. In temps of mid 20's I wear a mid-weight baselayer and this jacket on the up and down, using only the hood and zippers to regulate temps.
