Wow, this is a coat for cold weather! It's heavy and filled with down and designed perfectly with side adjusting straps to complement your waist, 3 pockets on each side to choose your comfy place to put your hands, and a double zipper to open the bottom up a bit. A line shaping and a longer back complete the on trend look. The pockets either zip or snap closed and are deep. I forgot to check for an interior pocket... sorry. I really like the coat but the size i bought was too large- i read the reviews suggesting to go up a size, and ordered XL, but this was huge. It was so bulky on me, it was hard to determine how comfortable it was. The material was also stiff. I ordered a large to try that size, but it's possible a medium will work. I'll update this review once I have thoroughly tested these and made my final decision! I also ordered the ARcTeryx Darrah as a comparison.

So comfortable and warm, and I love that they don't use real fur. I don't wear the "feux fur" anyway, to me it looks tacky. Beautiful classy and smart looking coat. :P

Has the feel of an expensive Canadian coat at 1/3 of the price! Last year I tried at least 20 coats and none of them felt warm enough for Chicago parks with a 3 year old who wants to stay out and play all day. I finally tried this one and am in love. Has a great silhouette, not baggy, and has a nice solid feel to it. Keeps me warm and comfortable in Chicago with extended time outside. I’d highly recommend!

This coat has a very narrow chest design. I'm 5'7" 160lbs 34D 29/size 8-10 in jeans, athletic build, size medium in most jackets but this one was too tight and restricting around the chest. Anywhere else fit fine. Size large was very baggy in other areas apart from the chest. I would advise people with larger chest to consider other jackets or size up if you don't mind the extra roominess elsewhere. It's such a pity because the coat is very warm and made from high quality materials.

I'm so excited to wear this jacket this winter! I live in Minnesota, so it's going to get pretty cold and windy. I have woren it a few times so far, when it was windy and had I walk the dog in the morning and I felt so cozy!!

The fit was perfect, although I did send back for a larger size because I wanted to layer in my North Face Denali fleece jacket. I LOVE THIS COAT!!! I would highly recommend it. Lots of pockets for my photography stuff (batteries, etc.)

I went into a store to try on one of the "puffy" Northface coats that I read about online. The salesperson was super friendly and asked me what I was looking for in a winter coat. I told him I didn't want to look bulky in a large heavy coat, but also needed warmth. He recommended this Outer Boroughs Parka. I tried it on and fell in love. It has pockets for your hands at a level easy to walk - the lower pockets are great for storing stuff like your phone or keys / wallet. I have used the "built in mittens" to walk my dog in the mornings - SUPER HANDY, I never remember my gloves. The hood is fitted so it doesn't slip back when you have it up, the fur trim is super cute (and removable if you want). The price tag was scary, for sure, but DEFINITELY worth the money in the long run. Lifetime guarantee and its a timeless cut so it won't go out of style. BUY THIS TO STAY WARM!

This is a great coat and will keep me warm in the winter. The only thing was when i purchaced the coat i noticed one of the pockets already had a hole in it. Luckily i know how to sew so it's perfect now!

I have suffered through Boston winters even wearing a Canada goose. This jacket is so much fuller and warmer! I love that there is no velcro to get caught on scarves and that when you zip it all the way it keeps my neck warm. I also love that the hood is faux fur. This jacket keeps me extremely warm and I am so happy!

This jacket fits perfectly, is stylish, but also very functional. I wanted a jacket that would protect me from the wind and give me the option for fur around the hood which will keep me extra warm in the winter and this jacket is it! The sleeves are also the perfect length (not too long like most other jackets), it has warm and soft lining in the sleeves for your hands, plenty of pockets, and a warm and soft closure that comes high above the neck in case you need to really protect from some harsh wind and temperatures. This was really built to keep you warm and the green color is very flattering.

I bought this coat with visiting Norway in mind. I will need to layer with my TNF fleece jacket underneath and will be returning, as i will need a larger size. I wasn't sure, but if you're going to layer with a thick layer, it is best to go a full size up.

It's still too warm to wear this coat, but I'm very excited for winter. I was looking for a longer jacket that was waterproof (not water resistant) and would protect me through cold winds. It's high quality and will definitely keep me warm through snow and wind. When zipped all the way up, I'm protected! It fits nicely, and I can adjust the sinching at the sides for a slimmer fit. I love the color options - I went with the navy. The fur hood lining is also a cute touch!

This jacket will last me forever. Winters in illinois are brutal and I can depend on this jacket to keep me warm and dry. The material is so nice and it is worth the buy!

Took me a while to pull this trigger on this coat, but am SO glad that I did. The outer boroughs parka is beautiful and so well made. Flattering fit and lots of great pockets.

I think this jacket is great for the winter weather that's approaching. It's so soft, very comfortable, and really really cute.

This seems like the perfect coat for those windy cold Chicago winters. I haven't put it to the test yet but it feels gr at in front of the AC unit :) The fit is perfect (I'm 5'10, 145lb and got a small) and the color so pretty. The hood makes you look like an eskimo when your zipped up, which seems perfect for those below zero days. Very good quality, yet stylish parka. Highly recommend!

I absolutely LOVE this coat! It's extremely warm, and very fashionable; goes with everything. On the coldest of days, this is your best bet to keep warm, with no worries. I live in NYC, where the winters are BRUTAL, but even during a snow storm or blizzard: I gladly battle the weather with this coat: it's fabulous!

Will be perfect for cold Michigan Winters and beautiful modern navy color...

I bought this coat for New England winters. The material is heavy, which I personally don't mind; it's reassuring for the bitter cold days ahead. The salesperson in the store said that she has it and sometimes it is almost "too warm" which again, is reassuring for the low temps ahead. This jacket is long and covers a lot of long cardigan sweaters that I wear in the winter, so that was a plus for me -- I feel disheveled when my sweaters hang below my jacket. The mitten feature on the sleeves is also great for those quick walks outside with the dog where you don't want to bring a million things with you. I had concerns that it was going to be too tight in the neck/ lower face area when I zipped it all the way up (it felt tight in the store, but I was willing to let this go because of the other qualities that I really liked). I also saw other reviews stating this as an issue. For whatever reason, the jacket that I ordered was completely fine and fits comfortably in the neck/ face area when fully zipped. If you want a real-deal, heavy duty winter jacket, this seems like the one.

First and foremost the Taupe color is amazing however I would match my other half when we both wore our winter jackets- so I switched to the navy! But its a really nice almost nautical navy. My only issue is the sizing- I normally wear an small- xsmall. I first bought the extra small as I wanted it to fit well and look professional, however it would be too small. Ended up purchasing a small that way I can wear a sweatshirt underneath! Great jacket pockets are perfectly placed can't wait to ware it! I'm 5'5 123 lbs

I'm 5' 4" 112 lbs and went with a size small (suggested by TrueFit). It looks stylish and feels nice to put on. The amount of pockets is awesome. Haven't tried it out yet since it's still August here in the Bay Area. The only complaints I have are that the sleeves are kind of long and it's difficult to zip up. I'm keeping it nonetheless!

This product is great for winter time especially with heavy snow and wetness. Though it is heavy, it is warm and protective against weather and does its job.
