TNF did an exceptional job when designing this parka. I live in Northeast Ohio and we are having an unusually cold day (temperatures in the 20s F with wind chills making it feel like 9- 14) so it was a perfect morning to see how this piece performs and it didn't disappoint. It provided great coverage and warmth while blocking out the frigid wind. This parka is aesthetically pleasing and the lines are flattering to the female form. Rather than just looking shapeless and bulky like some coats tend to do, having the adjustable belt snaps on the back of the waist provides a feminine silhouette. It's pretty while still being rugged and having utilitarian features. There are four (rather than the usual one or two) pockets on the front and one interior pocket. The snaps and zipper, when worn all the way up, will protect your lower face as if you were wearing a scarf, and there are mitten sleeve ends. The faux fur hood tops off a great design. The fact that it's machine washable is also a huge bonus. This parka is true to size in terms of fit. I'm tall with an hourglass figure and usually wear size M in women's or size S if I'm wearing a men's hoodie, etc. I ordered this in a M and even with a fuller bust, it fits perfectly. It didn't feel too tight or loose in any areas. This is a solid and dense coat but isn't cumbersome or heavy to wear. I'd recommend it 100%.

The material of this coat is terrific. You can tell it is very high quality and will keep you warm on frigid days. I love how long the sleeves are as that can be a problem area for me. I am 5'9", I weigh 130 lbs and I would say my body shape is fairly athletic and proportionate. I originally ordered this coat in a small and from the waist down it fit great. The arms also fit nicely. However, it was very tight in my underarms and across my chest. I sent it back and ordered a medium. I was so disappointed when I tried it on as the underarms and chest then fit well but from the waist down it was like a big bell. This coat work work well for someone who has a small bust, narrow shoulders and bigger hips/legs.

This was exactly the kind of coat I was looking for for the cold New England winters. I got the dark grey in both a Medium and a Large and LOVE everything about this coat except that the Medium is my "true fit" except for the chest area (I am a size 8 & a DDD cup). I don't know why this coat has to be so restrictive around the chest!! I'd have to wear it with a very think sweater to be able to zip it up. I'd have no problem going to a Large but it was wayyy too big and baggy for me all around. Sadly will have to return :(

With very cold/snowy winters, this coat is perfect for cold and windy conditions. I have quite a long walk at my work campus and this coat is perfect for keeping me warm. The fit is great and flattering. I absolutely love the cuffs and hood!

This is a beautiful jacket. It's tapered so you actually look feminine in it. It's one of the few winter jackets that give you a nice fitted waist, but the chest area is really tight. I am a relatively small woman. I'm a B cup and this jacket is still restrictive in the chest area. I can't imagine how it would fit for anyone bigger than that. If you go up a size the jacket just makes you look like your getting lost in it.

I am 5’6”a size 10/12 and a large fits true to size with some room. This coat is beautiful and substantial. The tailoring is wonderful, not box like at all. Very flattering. Great for a college student, city dweller, snow fun activities, and if you attend outdoor sporting events or tailgating it would be fantastic! This coat is user friendly, faux fur is really nice, and a nice big hood great for that cutting wind, the fur helps keeps it off your face. I love the “gloves” built into the cuffs in case I get caught off guard, like brushing snow off my car after work, etc. This is my second North Face down Parka in 15 years and I love it!!! Also it got here in a day, thanks Zappos! Great purchase!

Good choice for tough winter

This winter coat is fashionable and perfect for the weather in Chicago because it's extremely warm! I love love big coats although I thought this one was a little bigger than what I was hoping for :( I purchased it online so I was not aware. I will be taking a trip to Michigan Avenue and exchanging it for a new one. Hopefully one size smaller will help if not I will look around in hopes to finding a similar one :)

It is not cold enough to wear at this time but having tried it on I know that it will be warm and comfortable. I love the slim style, which is flattering, and the color. The soft collar is a plus for cold windy days.Delivery was prompt, the box

This jacket is so warm in the cold Canadian winters! I like the length of the jacket and the height of the collar which helps limit of cool air coming into the jacket; even on windy days I'm still warm! No need for multiple layers. I have searched for a reasonably priced jacket like this for a long time, that would really deliver. I wouldn't recommend another jacket.

Having joined Northwestern as a freshman, and hailing from sunny SIngapore which is on the Equator, it was important for me to find something that would keep me warm and cozy during harsh Evanstom winters. My North Face Parka was exactly what I was looking for !

Love the quality - however.......all my North Face coats are medium but I had to return this one for a large because it was very tight on the chest. If you are usually a snug medium, I would definitely go large (I'm 5'8" 138 lbs) Otherwise beautiful coat!!!!

I bought this product because I ride horses in a lighter, waist length coat. I wanted something more stylish for when I was in colder weather.

Bought this coat for my daughter lives in Rochester NY I trust Northface coats , jackets . Cause I know I'm getting the best jacket for my Child thank you Northface will buy again
