I love my minimus shoes on the trail. The fit is smaller than my old pair so I ordered a bigger size and they fit ok but still narrow. I had to cut the cross strip on the outer end to allow expansion and that made all the difference. If they were available in wider my review would be 5 stars.

Feels great, awesome feet to ground connection. Takes a week or two to break in the width of the shoe, still maintains a decent snug fit without overly suffocating your feet. Gave it a 4 because the colour options are too safe

The feel and quality is great. Only negative I have is that the wide version isn't as wide as I had hoped (even went a half size longer).

I like the minimus a lot and have worn out a few pairs over the years. I have a pair size 11 MT10v1 that I ordered in 2018 which fit great. I ordered another pair of size MT10v1 in March 2022 and they fit AT LEAST half a size smaller, although comparing brand new pair to my broken in ones they feel a full size smaller - the length, width and total volume overall seem smaller. I normally fit well with size 11 in most brands, sometimes I will go up to 11.5 for a particular shoe/boot. I will return the minimus 11s and try again with size 12.

I love these shoes, have multiple pairs, best for responsive step and navigating trails and uneven surfaces. Unfortunately, this 7.5 men's medium felt far narrower than previous ones.

First off gotta say, it fits abit small, I think the fit overall would have been better a half size bigger. But over all, its an amazing shoe. I used to have one of the old minimus onve and loved it, tried to find a replacement for it for the longest time but couldn't. Good they came out with another revision. By far the best work shoes I've worn. But if your gonna be walking alot might I suggest the NB shando, I love the dynasoft cushionc can't get enough of it, I just hope that it would be able to retain its softness in the long run.

I wear a 10.5-11 wide athletic shoe, depending upon the manufacturer and style. I ordered an 11 wide in this shoe and the fit was far too snug (width) and my big toe was jammed against the front of the shoe. Very uncomfortable. I exchanged them for a 12.5 wide (12 wasn't available) and the width is perfect. They feel just a tiny bit too long, but I'm pretty sure the 12 would still have been too short and the width probably would still have been too snug. It appears that in this design the width isn't right for me until the 12.5 length kicks in. In any event, at this size the shoe is perfectly comfortable. The style is contemporary and pretty awesome looking (to my eye). I really enjoy the low profile sole bed and tactile grip of the outer sole. They're especially good for rowing workouts.

Zappos shipping was good, and the product arrived without problems and was packaged well. I was looking for a shoe to replace my Merrell Trail Glove 4's as they changed the design. I am a woman who always tries to order men's shoes because women's are always too narrow. I ordered the men's size 7 WIDE because I had read that they ran narrow, and though my shoes had a tag that said WIDE, the shoe is still on the narrow side. The inside tag does not make reference to wide, so perhaps there was a mix up at the factory, either way I'll keep the shoe. I had read that they do take a little time to break in, so I'll try to wear some super fat socks to expediate the process. I like that they are narrow in the heal and the arch but wider in the toe box. The thing that makes them narrow is the support strap across the ball of the foot, and while it makes the shoe a little narrow, it is rubber, so hopefully it will break in. I do think it will help long term in the longevity of the shoe, I just hope it breaks in satisfactorily. My toes can spread and wiggle, so it is a good start. While you can feel the narrow arch, it isn't a lifted arch in the sole of the shoe, so it is still minimalist in its own way. These are a shoe that runs narrow, since even the wide is narrow, so if you have very wide feet, these may not fit the bill for you as they barely do for me, but without the right options otherwise, I'll take a chance.

The shoe is fine. Wish they made it in 11 1/2. My experience is diminished with all of the emails that New Balance bombards me with. I don't think I'll shop with them again just because of all the emails.

I’m on my fourth pair. They are the perfect shoe for hiking and strength training or anything really. Will buy again. Only complaint is that I have to replace them every 4-6 mths. They bust a hole in the same spot (right pinkie toe) but then again I do have some wide feet. Oh well I still love them.

O.K. New Balance Minimus 10v1 feel funny during the first wearing. Seems the arch support is too far back in the shoe. For me, they felt narrow. Uh-O ?. However! The toe box is roomy. I wore them around the yard. Ran 3.5 miles on road, grass and beach. Walked on wet seashore rocks. Wore them for 4.5 hours whitewater kayaking. Waded around the river's muddy banks. Climbed wet rocks and swung and lept from a hanging rope out over the river. I swam in these shoes. I carried my 35 lb kayak up a dirt/rock road back to my car. I mountain biked with, large platforms (pedals), wearing the Minumus 10v1 got them wet in a brook and drove the hour and 45 minutes home in them. All this without socks or blisters! So. Yeah. If you're looking for thin sole, very light weight, all activity, 3 season shoes and you don't want Five Toes(my go to play foot wear), buy a pair or two. ?? I haven't owned them but two weekends- not long enough for 5 stars. Remember to engage you inner child often!

Unfortunately Zappos requires a rating for Size, width and support, but I didnt even try this shoe on because is described poorly as a trail running shoe. It should be described as a WATER SHOE. It is not what i wanted. But it does look really cool and VERY well made.

Definitely order 1/2 to full size larger than you normally wear from New Balance and possibly order the wide.

These run a bit narrow especially considering they're trail runners. I got them in wide and they are still too narrow. Wish they had a wider size. Other than they they are made with good material and have cool soles with good vibram traction.

This is for size 13 2E. Really good looking shoes (best looking trail or road running shoes I have owned). Length was fine but width ran small for me. Don't blame the shoes for this. My feet may be getting fatter. My only quibble is that they put a firm, plastic band around the toe box which keeps it from stretching. I think they would have worked fine for my feet if it hadn't been for this plastic band. From all other aspects I really like the shoes and had it not for this issue would have rated it 5 stars and bought again.

Does not look like or fit like a wide shoe. I ordered same size from New Balance in different style and these were completely off expectations as far as size. If you are a barely wide trail runner, these might do the trick. Was really unable to put these on.

The 10v1 is half a size smaller than its predecessor which fit me like a glove. The counters on both sides of the ball of the feet and the stitching that crosses over between them combine to restrict expansion more than the original Minimus. I ordered a half size up to a snug fit at the ball of the feet so I have to go barefoot or wear thin socks. I currently use them in the gym and I will soon try them on the trails.

I love these shoes. They do fit a little tighter as the description says -- I usually wear a 10.5 and ordered an 11 which feels great. They definitely take some getting used to, but I love the minimal feel and especially like the toughness of the bottom tread. Can't feel a thing on rocks, woodchips, gravel, bumpy terrain, etc. Would definitely recommend and buy again if looking for a high-quality minimalist runner.

Shoe looks great. Love the concept. I'm a 9 2E ... shoe was WAY too narrow. I'm not sure how NB can make a 2E just fine in one shoe, and horrible in another. Bummer bc I think it would have been a great shoe.

These fit very well and felt great as a minimal shoe. I already have a paid of Vibram KSO Evos that I love and didn't see enough of a difference between these and the Vibrams to justify keeping them, so I returned them. If you want a minimal shoe but don't like toe shoes, I'd definitely recommend trying these Minimus
