I love these trail shoes and I am moving more and more to minimalist footwear. PLEASE offer them in a 4E width. Always disappointed when you only offer in standard or 2E width only! Unfortunately, major shoe makers always focus on profits and mass production over providing the most options for customers.

The original version of this shoe got me back into running after years off. Thank you for bringing this shoe back. I hope it stays for years to come.

I have never been comfortable with the thick soled running shoes that mostly define the genre. I like to feel the ground with just enough insulation to protect my feet from sharp and pointy things. These fit well, allow me stabilize and adjust as I am moving over uneven terrain. They have the best quality of my old track flats.

Great look and feel, but this style seems to run a bit smaller and more narrow than most NB shoes.

New Balance really listened to their customers this time and brought back the best NB shoe ever created. I travel for business 60-90 days a year and always looking for a robust, lightweight pair of everyday, walking, workout travel shoes to compliment a comfortable pair of dress shoes. I bought two pairs of original V1's and have worn them for everything from cross fit to mountain running in Vancouver and Seattle. These are shoes that are really meant to be worn hard by serious athletes, but are as at home strolling Central Park or Soho.
Thank you for coming out with all black, but Vibram, can you drop the yellow already...a true pair of all-black V1's would make these a 5.5 out of 5!

I don't need to go into detail about the functionality and comfort that these shoes provide. Whoever decided to bring these shoes back, I just wanna say thank you. These are the best minimal shoes in the market, if you don't want to wear ugly sock shoes. As long as these shoes are on sale, you will never lose my business and my recommendation to my clients. Thank you once again.

Great shoe, but definitely runs small.
I know another reviewer mentioned that he's tired of reading about wide feet in reviews and made a point of saying he doesn't have wide feet.
The fact that he doesn't is exactly why he doesn't understand why those of us with wide feet mention it. Pre-internet, getting shoes that fit was a real challenge. To a lesser extent it still is and I appreciate reviews from others in the EEE and above crowd.
I was looking for a minimalist, zero lift shoe for outdoor cross training. This shoe has a 4mm lift but I thought that was close enough.
I have had several pairs of New Balance shoes over the years because they do make wider sizes. Other reviews suggested that these shoes run small so I ordered 1/2 size up from my usual. They felt fine walking around in the house on a carpet, but after working out in them several time, I probably could have gone up a full size.
Even so, these are extremely comfortable shoes. They are very light and quite flexible. The sole appears sturdy and I expect it to last well.
I don't buy athletic shoes for looks, but I've had several compliments on these shoes - a first for me.
All in all, highly recommended. Just be a little careful with the size.

I had original pair V1, loved those. I have been looking for same shoes again but none of the new ones fit the same. I spent so little money on original pair and ten times more on hopeful replacements. I wish they make the original one again, I will buy lifetime supply.

First of all, I do not have a wide foot. Just thought id add that because I'm so sick of hearing about people's wide feet on reviews...These shoes rule. If you're thinking of going minimalist, go with these. They might feel a little weird at first, but once you get out and use them, there is no going back. They size like Nike (order half size up from Puma). Great looks, durable (so far) and just fun to move in. I use them most for trail running and that sort of adventure type stuff, but do hit the pavement too without issue. I could go on and on about how much I love these shoes. Great great great love love love. Get them.

Awesome shoes! Very light, great feel. Only complaint I have is that I like to wear no show socks and these shoes will rub your heel. I bought some socks with the heel guard and now have no problem. Because of the other reviews I bought a size larger and they fit perfect. Definately recommend them 100%

Good cross training shoes. My right shoe arch is a bit high, but that's probably my foot, not the shoe!

Great fit. Hugs the foot around the arch and I step yet has a roomy toe box. Good ground feel and runs well on trails once you get used to the minimal concept. Great for every day wear as well.

If you're looking for a minimalist trail shoe it doesn't get any better than this. This shoe is very lightweight, flexible, breathable, and comfortable. The quality so far seems really well made while keeping it light. It has very good traction, no slip up or down steep rocky hills while maintaining a very good 'ground feel' (you are going to feel the rocks and lumps you step on which is expected, and in my case preferred, with a minimalist shoe). Overall I am extremely impressed by this shoe and I highly recommend it. One thing I will say that may help someone is that I normally wear a 9/9.5 and got these in a 10 and they fit perfectly.

very pleased that NB brought these back in (more or less) the original design/style. i have a pair of the 10v3 which are the virtually the same but for a few notable improvements in construction they've made with the 10v1.
do be aware these run a half size small. i typically wear a size 8 (sometimes a size 7 in casual shoes or boots) and these are the first pair of size 8.5 i've ever worn in my entire life. for a true apples to apples comparison, my 10v3 are size 8 and fit precisely the same as these 10v1 in size 8.5 — so definitely order these a half size up.
no trail time in them yet, but in my opinion this design is the gold standard for a fully realized, functional minimalist running shoe.

Seems to feel a half size too small but once on they felt great. I have a very wide foot and these hit the mark as being a wide size shoe which is much appreciated.

You should know two things before purchasing this excellent shoe: 1. it's a whole size smaller than marked and 2. it's extremely narrow, so if your foot is "normal" you need the EE; and if you have a wide foot, stay away from these shoes.
That said, this is an outstanding shoe, which might be the very best of New Balance's Minimus line. While these aren't for people who want a true "barefoot shoe," they are perfect for people who want a very comfortable, very low-drop, durable, foot-shaped, versatile shoe that can be used for running and just about anything else. This particular iteration, in my opinion, is the gold standard of minimalist shoes.

I have a wide foot (E). I ordered the EE and it was way too narrow. My toes started to hurt after only a few hours of wear.

Best running shoes. They've gotten me through several marathons and ironmans.
I enjoyed them so much that I purchased around 15 pairs when they were discontinued in 2014.

I have worn previous versions of the shoe down to holes in the sole because the v4 did not fit the same. I couldn't find any v1 or v2 anywhere so I bought another brand. When I saw the v1's were back I couldn't click fast enough. Love the roomy toe box and the low profile. Most comfortable shoes ever. I wear these for everything - trail, road, cross train. My feet are happy again.

I loved the MT10s since they first came out, and I was so glad to see the original version get reissued as they are really so wonderful. The slipper-like fit and grippy Vibram sole are ideal for the mixture of exposed rock, and damp, leafy forest trails I run on, here in the north-eastern US. Their light weight makes my legs feel like running faster. I've run two road marathons in these shoes too, and they were even excellent for that.

They're back! This is the best shoe ever made, and I hope that it doesn't go away again. V1/V2/V3 were the best shoes, and I wish I could buy a lifetime supply right now - but they're almost gone?!
This is the best minimalist shoe I have ever worn - wide to book, lightweight, flexible sole, breathable upper. Very durable for its weight, feels like you aren't wearing a thing but protects your foot in all the important spots.
I have 2 pairs V2, 4 pairs V3, and now a pair V1. I hope you guys move back to the true minimus shoe style - it looks like these are almost gone so hopefully that's an indication of how popular these are!
Thank you so much for bringing these back!
