I am ordering my third pair and love these shoes. I just wish they would offer them in kids sizes also.

I bought these for my first obstacle course race and let me tell you these shoes were definitely amazing in many ways. I would definitely buy another pair of these down the road. Thank you for a Great Shoe!

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
These are the best I bought these when they came out years ago, and have tried other brands since NB came out with an alternate version that was not nearly as good a few years ago, but these are the ones to get (v01) One feature that seems insignificant, but ends up being HUGE on trail hiking especially, is the tongue... it is sewn in all around (unlike similar Merrels, which have a loose tongue) Why a big deal? Loose tongue lets dirt and rocks seep in. Loose tongue also means tongue is moving around and causes chafing. Also, the way Merrell sews in their tongue leaves "seams" that rub/chafe. New Balance got these shoes right on the first try, in my opinion. And as you hear many people say, minimalist shoes will "change your life" (with regard to running/hiking) Merrells look nice, but don't be fooled. I'm not slamming merrell, but there minimalist shoes seem to be main competition to NBs, but they aren't in the same league. Just my opinion :)

Thoughts from 6 months of wear. Uses: Lifting, martial arts, hiking. Overall satisfaction: outstanding. I feel like my feet are stronger from wearing these. Two minor gripes. the toe box is wide but my foot slides to the outside and I have about a thumbs worth of material that is left empty. Perhaps just my odd shaped feet. Second, The colors are bad. Perhaps Im just a diva.

These are the best shoes ever, I feel really low to the group and not top heavy like other shoes, because of this illusion I don't feel like I need to work as hard and overall perform better. I LOVE THESE SHOES!

these are so cool, they make me feel like a trail ninja. yet i had to return them (at no fault of the shoe) for i have a wide foot and they were too tight for my feet. i would love to see new balance make a wide version of this shoe!

Great training shoe for squats, deadlifts, and Krav Maga. I took the advice of people on here and ordered a half size larger than I wear. They are a schooch too big but no big deal.

Great super light weight super fast shoes. I prefer them for my average not too technical trails. Great door to trail shoe. My most favorite trail shoe.

Checked these out after owning a pair of the previous model of minimus. With a slightly thicker sole and updated tread design these would be my go to pair. They feel very comfortable on trails and seem to be well constructed. 5/5

They're back. These were awesome when they first came out many years ago. And then they were tinkered with. Gonna stock up again to get me through the next decade of improvements. Thanks for bringing them back!

I have a narrow foot, and like other New Balances I've had, this shoe fit fantastic along the length of my foot. It snugs in the heel while still giving my toes plenty of space in the toe box. The sole allows you to feel the contact with the ground without feeling too exposed to sharper shapes etc. It seems to even have good lateral support; and the sole is knobby enough it could be a light hiker or simple knock around shoe. it looks good too, more of a dark cobalt blue, technical without being ridiculous. Going to take it on a extensive trip to China/Mongolia will post more after.

Recently received two pairs of minimus 10 v 1's. They are everything I expected in a minimal trail shoe. I need to be quick on my feet when hitting the trails and the Minimus provides just that. Too often trail shoes lead to heavy steps and once I switched over to the Minimus 10v1 I found my trail runs ran much smoother and I was more confident in my footing. Minimus 10v1 is a great buy.

So happy these are back. As soon as the v2's came out, I had the foresight to buy three pairs in order to keep me going through the drought of minimalist shoes that was sure to come. Sure, there are some good contenders now, but I always come back to my v1's. They are incredibly lightweight, comfortable, seamless, and hard to beat. Without the rockplate they are able to transition from trail to pavement pretty well. The vibram sole lasts incredibly long (I use them on streets all the time and they are worn out before the vibram is worn out). Perfect for the gym as well as they flex with you but with a solid feel that would probably work well for the crossfitters. Used on numerous hikes (yosemite, whistler, et al) and they stick to the feet well so you don't have to worry about rolling of the ankles but you will have to use your body to support yourself (no ankle support and the minimal cushion forces you to be light on your feet). There is more groundfeel than a traditional hiker so you will feel the sharp rocks through the sole. This is the smartest thing New Balance has ever done. Looking forward to buying my fresh pair.

I am so happy to see these back. I had an original that wore out, a Gore-Tex version, and a suede version for casual use. I am not so sure about the "original fit" claim. The size is good but definitely tighter on the fore foot. All my shoes have been D width but these feel narrower. I've only run in them 3 times and they are still great but I cannot loosen them up enough to wear casually. I will try the 2E for more mixed use if they come out with better colors (black wasn't available in my size). . Just beware of you felt the old ones were a bit snug, go with the wider version.

Quite possibly my favorite shoe ever from NB! I had the original version back four or so years ago. Unfortunately, the next three versions were not quite right. NB really listened to their customers with this one, and actually brought back a four year old model due to popular demand. This shoe is fantastic. Vibram outsoles lasted me forever. I used them primarily for light trail running and all-purpose adventuring shoes. The grip is great, the fit is fantastic, the feel is the best. I am very impressed. Thank you, New Balance!

These shoes are amazing! I've been missing them since they've been gone, and I can't wait to order more of them. I wear them for everything, and they have vastly improved the quality of my life. I used to try expensive orthotics to try and deal with knee/hip pain, and it still wouldn't go away. A physical therapist recommended that I try minimalist shoes, and luckily I tried these ones. They became my every day shoes, and my pain issues went away! Because I use them as my everyday shoe, I needed the original black and grey to come back so that I could feel fashionable without experiencing pain. Thank you so much for bringing them back!!

I've had many many running and trainer sneakers from Reebok and Nike over the past 35 years these were my1st NB's and I'm Never going back to other brands as long as NB manufactures these. I have an high instep and it's hard to find supreme comfort because of it, but these hug my foot all over. I'll Never Change. Thank You NB
