Had to return as they were way to large in the wide width even though I found the regular size to narrow. Had to return.

I was replacing an old set of Moab Vents, which I love. This pair was far more narrow, the end of the tongue did not even go under the shoe at all. Returning and trying a wide.

I'm a bit of a special case. I have had problems with my back for many years and because of that I wear insoles. That means that I can't wear many shoes without getting back pain. I literally have pairs and pairs of new shoes that I realize after a week give me excruciating back pain and I have to return to my old worn merrel shoes instead. Unfortunately in this case it looks to be the same. I wore these for about a two weeks and got back problems. Another, different, Merrel pair is standing next to them because they hurt the side of my feet which is why I ordered the wide ones. I ordered the same size as other merrel shoes I have. They feel a bit too big though - I have to lace them up tight to not feel that I move around in them. They look nice, my feet feel a bit sweaty inside but sadly they are going to join the line of unworn shoes that I cannot wear.

bought the moab2 ventilator in size 10ee. the box it came in is marked wide, the tag inside the shoe says US size 10. the shoes feel tighter than my last pair, i dont know if these are wide or not or if the shoe is not made the same as my older pair.

This is my first time owning a pair of Merrells. After a couple weeks, I am not happy with the sizing, especially the width. I don't know if Merrells always run wide, but I feel like my feet are swimming in these shoes. It's hard to feel comfortable when the shoe is this loose on my foot.

These fit like my old Merrill's, but the sole is very hard now and uncomfortable. They might look the same, but it's like putting your luxury car body on a dump truck chassis. What was cushy now just hurts.

A well built shoe but a shell of the original MOAB in terms of comfort. I climbed Mt Whitney in 2016 in my first pair and I forgot I even had them on my feet. I figured the MOAB 2's would be similar, but they just don't feel the same. As a matter of fact, they feel much more stiff and at times painful when walking. They've been broken in for months now with no real improvement. I might've gotten a defective pair but I'm just not as impressed as I thought I'd be. Good looking enough and tough, but that's where it ends.

I bought these to replace another pair of the same that I had worn out. The old ones I would rate 5 stars. The new ones have a problem with insufficient padding or stiffness in the front, under the ball of the foot, allowing the bumps of the tread to be felt through. It's not really noticeable at first, and for shorter walks the shoes are perfectly fine, but after several miles, particularly on hills, it becomes annoying.

Retired and wanted a comfortable shoe.. and this worked fine. However, with a good deal of tread-life remaining, the tops began pulling away from the sole, which rendered these shoes useless and into the garbage can.

I have been buying nothing but Merrell's for the past 12 years. I used to tell people they were the most comfortable shoes I ever wore. Now they just don't seem to have that same wonderful comfortable feel anymore. Just bought a new pair a couple of weeks ago, but not sure I will buy again. I hope they have not sacrificed quality to make a profit.

I love the boots, but was disappointed that the upper split from the sole after only about a year. Paying that much I expected that that they would last longer.

These fit ok, not the most comfortable. My main issue with then is after less than 100 miles I am getting serious wear on the left inside of the top shoe. Not sure why I have never seen this in any other shoe I have ever worn, and there is still little tread wear.

The heel of these shoes has a large protuberance on the inside. Nearly all of your weight is supported on the inside of the heel, on the protuberance. This makes them unbearable to stand in.

Ordered these in the hopes that they would compare to my previous pairs of Merrell Pulsate. No comparison. Not enough arch support. Tried several different insoles but could not make then comfortable. Also the sole on the right shoe began to squeak. These are going back.

Moab 2 is much bigger and wider than my old favorite Moab's. (Moab's may have run a little small compared to other brands, but I had a style that I liked for years.) Now I need to return these and go to a store to try on.

These just felt weird - like the arch was misplaced an inch back. I bought these as a direct replacement of my current Merrell's, so don't know why these are different. I suppose part of the risk of buying online and not trying on.

This a very well built shoe but for me, it does not have enough in-sole cushion or high enough arch support.

These look good, but the width seems to run narrow. They used to not be like that. Now I can't wear them.

These are great if you do only level hiking but on downhill they are excruciating. My toes could not bear even a 2 mile hike to break them in. I feel I wasted my money on them. They look good but are street shoe only for me.

I really wanted to love these as much as every other pair of Merrell shoes I have purchased, but it was not to be. I am used to comfort right out of the box, but it was not the case here. I have always worn a 12M in every other shoe from Merrell, but these are a little big, which has caused blisters the few times I have hiked in them.

In the past Merrel hiking boots/shoes fit my size 9 1/2 D low volume feet well. I bought the Moab 2 Ventilator for some extended hiking this summer in the high Sierra. When I tried them on I noticed they were higher volume than Merrel boots I have used in the past. Merrel has clearly gone to a higher volume and width design. To compensate for this, I used thick Sole insoles and new medium weight Darn Tough hiking socks. Unfortunately, the combination did not work. The higher volume shoe did not provide good lateral control. In addition, there was too much movement of the feet within the shoe, which resulted in blisters. I can not recommend the Moab 2 Ventilator if you have low volume feet. I cannot speak for those with higher volume feet.

Not very impressed with stickiness with ground in tricky surfaces and I have to use my toes to create friction in downhill
