Well I seam to have a issue finding a good show however I bought a pair of mer boots and wow the best so I got a pair of shoes. Well the shoe seems to be comfortable but after Les than two months they are starting to fall apart. So for shoes for the price I can't see buying another pair

The reason I've kept buying Merrell hiking shoes for so many years is that they fit great and were comfortable right out of the box. Not so with my latest two pair of Moab 2 Ventilators. These feel uneven under the foot, as if the midsoles had small lumps or something. I even put in my old inserts thinking that might smooth out the feel but no such luck. I can only hope that they break in over time (even though I've never had to go through a break-in period with Merrells before).

These sneakers are bigger than the last size 10 merrell's that I bought.
I am trying to figure out how to send them back since I have not worn them

Good looking but not very comfortable. Bought this pair for my husband. He did not want to keep it so it had to be sent back.

I have 4 pairs of Men's Moab 2 Ventilators. ( 3 low cut and 1 mid) .
The laces tend to come loose often on hikes. More than what I expect from a dedicated hiking shoe. I have other hiking shoes that do not come loose. So, I would rate these Moabs higher if this problem is corrected.

The boots themselves fit well (I tried them on at a local retailer) but the left boot insole is too large for the boot (causing a large crease on the outside edge of the insole). I can only imagine what havoc this would wreak on my feet over a long trek.

Having worn Merrell shoes for years, my expectations were high. I really wanted to like the Moab 2.
These are comfortable right out-of-the-box, and, for me, their foot support is excellent. After about 100 miles, they seem adequately sturdy and reasonably well-made.
One downside is that the fabric lace-holds and single top-eyelet limit lacing options.
But the main problem is that traction is entirely unreliable on wet surfaces, particularly on rocky trails, stone slabs, and other, similar ones. This ranges from tricky, watch-your-step situations to no-way-they're-going-to-hold-so-go-around ones.
I was testing these for PCT use in 2020. Regrettably, I conclude that I must look elsewhere.

This is the second pair of these I have bought. One of my favorite things about this shoe is that, straight out of the box it helps me with mild under-pronation. They are very comfortable and light weight. I use these primarily for normal everyday use.

I purchased the same make, model and they were manufactured in the same country as my old shoes but the fit was totally different. I will return to my old rule to never purchase shoes on-line. Very bad experience.
Normally I would give this shoe a 5 star rating.

I hike a lot in the NM mountains and foothills. The shoes have good grip on the slick rocks & loose gravel, which makes me very happy. No issues with the cushion of the shoe. I find them quite comfortable and have worn them on daily hikes of up to 10 or 11 miles with no discomfort.
The shoes do fit a bit larger than expected so I wear thicker socks, which also corrected the sore toes I was getting at first. At that time I contacted Merrell and they offered to replace the shoes. But I couldn't see doing that as the socks fixed it. I am very happy with the shoes so much so that I bought a 2nd pair.
However, the reason I cannot give a higher rating is because after several months the shoes are wearing out! They, both shoes, have holes in the fabric covered cushion around the top. The right shoe also has a hole inside at the back of the heel & something blue is coming out from under the footbed. I am disappointed that they are not holding up better to my daily hikes.

I bought this shoe for the vibrum sole. Was disappointed as it didn't help me at all.

I searched for months to find these shoes. They are amassing comfortable with great traction. Waterproof with comfort tongue flaps compared to Pitney shoes.
I bought these about 10 months ago but the backs of the soles are pulling apart. Don't have the receipt.
Recommend these but the price is a little expensive for the poor durability.

I've worn 13 Wide Merrell's for the past decade, but with these, my foot is sliding front and back considerably, and my heels are slipping out of the pocket, which is bad for hot spots and blisters.

I had an old pair of Moabs that finally wore out. So I figured I would move to the moab 2. Big mistake. These are so uncomfortable. The left shoe feels like there is a metal rod in the shoe that is loose and vibrating with every step. Literally, I can bounce my feet on the floor and it gives me an odd sensation. The insole is terrible. There is very little padding at the toe and I find with the odd vibration and no padding, the ball of my foot gets uncomfortable. I've had them for about 2 months and have just been trying to break them in - walking to the park... I would not trust hiking in them. I have a 23 mile backpacking trip coming up and I had hoped to use them for that trip. But I don't trust them at all to be comfortable. I replaced the insole and that has helped. but the left foot is still bad and my foot starts to feel numb after 2 miles. My wife also had moabs and moved to the moab 2 and is experiencing blisters at the base of her heel as the insole is too big and has developed a "fold" where it runs vertical up the shoe. I used to recommend Merrells, however after this experience, I can no longer.

This is my 5th pair of Merrill Moab Ventilators, never had a problem with any of them until now. After wearing this new pair only a few weeks they SQUEAK from under the insole. Not impressed with the fine Vietnamese workmanship. I will try the ole baby powder trick but it that doesn't do it, this will be my last pair of Moabs.

Was excited to see a wide in these. Purchased them August 2018, here it is February 2019 and the soles are almost worn through. For the money and reputation, thought they would last longer than 5 months.
Going to be looking at Keen's next. Have a pair of sandals that have worn extremely well. Hopefully a shoe/boot will do the same.

Something just feels different about these vs the older model. Can’t seem to pinpoint it exactly but they just weren’t as comfortable. True to length and width but they feel like walking in high heels.

I wear a 9.5. Have for years. Now, I understand that different manufacturers vary in sizing, but it's always been close enough for me. The MOABs I got were pretty small for a 9.5, but more, they were pretty narrow. They just barely fit, and I'm a thin guy. Also, I bought these shoes in April of 2017. They need to be replaced already. I live in the Catskills, so they were in my closet for the entirety of the winter, which means I've worn them consistently for, say, eight months, and never for hiking.

The Foot-Bed was very uncomfortable. It was lumpy, as if the tread on the soles was pushing into the bottom of my feet. I have had at least 4 pair Moab Ventilators over the last 15+ years and loved them. The pair I have on now is 4 1/2 years old and even though the cushioning is broken down it is much more comfortable on the bottom of my feet than the new ones I just returned. I have tried several pair from different stores and they all had the same problem. I don't know what has changed but it was not tor the better.

Whatever material they use now make your feet burn and sweat like crazy. The original materials years back were better. I hope they make them out of better and breathable materials in future, because I love Merrels Moabs.

I walk on the edge of Lake Travis almost every morning for at least 2 miles. I really enjoyed these shoes for the first 7 months but then the souls on the front sides separated from the shoe and allowed water to easily soak into the shoe.
I wish they would have lasted at least a year! Great shoe as long as you don't walk on rocks and get them wet.
