I got these to replace an old pair of Lands End hiking shoes that had served me well for many years. Excellent choice! While they are not super-breezy, they are comfortable across a range of temperatures. I replaced the insoles with SuperFeet Trailblazer insoles, and I can stand, walk, or hike in them all day in comfort. I got them in the old Beluga colorway: mid-gray suede, with the fabric in an almost off-white shade of light gray. They show dirt, of course, but the light color makes them more comfortable in the sun. These shoes fit my low-volume feet well, with plenty of room in the toe box. The soles offer support, padding, and traction. At two pounds for the pair, they aren't the lightest shoe around, but I'd rather have slightly heavier shoes with this level of protection than something lighter that would make my feet hurt. When these shoes wear out, I'll almost certainly replace them with another pair of the same.

I really appreciate the wide size. I know the shoe will last well and is built really well. It's my second pair! The only thing you could possibly improve is to make more cushion in the sole. I'm diabetic and at the end of the day the soles of my feet are sore.

I use these as work shoes. Mostly just standing around with the occasional heavy usage. After being on my feet for a couple hours or so (flat surface, little workload) they start to cause soreness in the bottom of my feet. Other than that they seem durable enough, more airflow than other work shoes I've had.

I love this shoes , they are my third pair for 8 years, that I have the first ones. The black color is very stylish and I really like it.

At first there seemed to be an obstruction in the right shoe around my big toe, but it quickly subsided. Also, it's still early, but I find the shoe makes my right heel hurt after short periods of time. But I'm still in a wearing-in phase, so it's hard to be certain. Otherwise, the fit is great, everything else is comfortable

Bought this boot for playing disc golf. Comfortable and stable, but the traction can get a little iffy in the mud. They also are a little heavier than I'd like, but no problems rolling my ankles since I got these boots.

Normally wear an 11 wide but after testing those for a few days I realized that I was coming out of them. The 10.5 was the ticket. You might consider ordering 1/2 size smaller.

First time Merrell customer here! I'm disappointed that Merrell does not offer women's 12 [or 12W] in any of their shoes. Such is life and I'm stuck buying men's shoes.. My sneakers are a men's size 11 so I purchased an 11. They fit nicely in the width and toe box although I have yet to take them on a hike. Foot bed is very firm but the heel cup and arch support feels comfortable. Opening for the foot seems a little large and it is ever so slightly loose around the ankle but nonetheless functional. Look forward to taking them out!

I bought these recently from the store on the military base that's close to the house. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the wide version. I noticed that with the regular width version they run small for my feet. I purchased a size 10 where I normally wear a size 9.5. Either way, I feel these are a good all around stable shoe that I can wear every day or while hiking.

Finally wore out my previous MOAB after many years. The regular fit was just a tad to narrow so I had to buy the wide version. Wish they made something in between as the wide is a bit generous for my foot. I can walk in these shoes all day and they feel comfortable and offer decent support for my high arches so I can't complain.

I have been wearing Merrell shoes for several years now. I have painful feet. Two surgeries, long feet, flat feet, wide feet all combine to make wearing shoes quite uncomfortable at times. As long as I buy men's shoes, Merrell shoes work fine. As a woman there are several women's styles that I would love to buy, but they are not sized for long, wide, flat feet. These shoes are my "go-to" shoes. I have worn out several pairs. I would love some color options other than black, gray, brown, but when you are buying men's styles that is what is offered. I am happy to have found Merrells. They are not as expensive as some other manufacturers. They fit. They help me walk. I do use my own orthotics and they fit nicely in these shoes. I will be buying again in the future.

I've tried out many adventure shoes, but none can compare to MOABs. From the Caribbean to the snows of Michigan, I can wear them year round, and they hold up well.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn - so much so, that I started out wearing them without socks. They are still comfortable without socks. Not a good idea! They're called "vent" but my feet cannot breathe, so after 2 weeks of wearing them without socks, the shoes and my feet stink. I don't mean the smell of slimy toe jam, I mean the smell of a dead animal full of maggots that you don't want to go near. I have never had my feet stink like that in my whole life. I bought these, partly because they were linked to "barefoot shoes" but they're obviously not. I still like the shoes, but am a little disappointed.

The shoe size was correct (though I've been wearing merrell for 8+ years now) but this particular pair was/is slightly less comfortable for my heals, just feels alittle stiff, might need to break them in (it's only been a couple of weeks) but i often have to mess around with my feet being in water and these ventilators do dry out very nicely. And my feet didn't get soaked right away ether (working in flood waters.)

I loved them right out of the box. The very pleasing walnut color I chose works well with jeans or tan shorts. The shoe designers did a terrific job. They fit like a glove with plenty of toe room. I have high arches and I found the arch support good. Merrell named the product appropriately. The 'Moab 2 Ventilator' does breath and the foot definitely stays cool. That said, I would still recommend a moisture wicking sock. And I advise to stay away from cotton as that type of fabric is abrasive to the lining of the shoe. The Merrell's were just as light if not lighter in weight to my New Balances that they replaced. If I had any knock of the product it would be the cushion in the heel. I prefer more. However, I have to remind myself that the shoes are hikers and not a B-ball shoes. The Merrell sole and cushioning are designed to prevent the feel of sharp or pointy rocks from intruding into the interior of shoe and in turn into the foot. As long as I don't abuse these shoes, they will last a long time. Construction is solid. Taking everything into account, I give the shoe a 'thumbs up' and recommend it as a 'Buy'.

Product fairly well made. Of sufficient quality for my purposes which is mainly a walking runner. Not as comfortable as my other Gore-Tex runners.

Used them mostly for walking around town. Had them for years they are now getting too painful to wear. The good part is that the soles are still like new after years of use. I never could use them for serious hiking.
