I've been wearing Merrell for years for light hiking and walking. I find them to be a reliable brand with respect to quality and fit. The Merrell Moab is a very good shoe.

I have had multiple pairs of the ankle-high Moab 2 and have loved them all. This is my first time trying the shoe height version. After about a month I still like them. Having said that I will probably go back to the ankle-high version with my next pair. The main reason is I wear orthotics which means I usually get a size larger than my actual foot size. With the shoe height Moab I don't have as much lace structure for a snug fit. Having said that I plan to wear this pair out before I switch back.

This is my second pair. I enjoy everything about it. It's comfortable, fits well and easy to maintain. The only thing I dislike about it is it never wears out!

Have only had this pair for a wk, but so far so good. This will be my fourth pair and I expect them to be solid performers as the others have been. As for fitment, I have a super flat foot, narrow heel, yet wide across my toe area which makes shoe shopping a pain in the ______. Any ways, depending on the shoe I wear an 11 or 11.5, this particular one I wear an 11.5 med. and it works well. A good comprise, since the 11 is just to tight in the toe area, and the 11 wides are just a bit too wide. These also accommidate my custom orthodics fairly well. Nothing but good things to say

I have worn Merrell Moabs in one form or another (hifi, lowfi, etc.) for about 20 years. This most recent pair was consistently comfortable and stylish (love the red/grey color scheme). However, like other reviewers, I feel they could have snugged 'em up at the ankle a little better. We're not all paddle-footed lummoxes with cankles, and some of us actually hike in these. Moabs are famous for fitting like tennis shoes right out of the box, but maybe they need to build in a little more support to cover the hiking boot part of the equation.

Overall, these hiking shoes have a good fit and support. My first outting with them was a 10.5 mile hike, climbing 1800 ft. My feet felt great afterwards!

Tried the Moab 2 Ventilator Wide but it was slightly short in the box toe area. Exchanged it for the Moab 2 Ventilator Regular size and 1/2 size longer. Perfect fit. Very comfortable and lots of cushion. I'm ordering a 2nd pair.

Hiked over 17miles to the summit of Pikes Peak and my MOABs destroyed the hike! Never once slipped or felt like my footing was bad. They were comfortable throughout and never missed a beat. At one point on the hike down it started raining and these shoes stuck to rocks and gravel like it was dry. Great shoes! Built solid and would highly recommend.

My new Merrill Moab 2's have been as expected. I have custom orthotics that easily replaced shoe inserts and still left room in the toe box. They seem very comfortable and have already been worn for an eight hour work day. They seem a bit stiffer and more supportive than the brand they replaced. So far, very satisfied.

Overall these are great shoes. They feel comfortable and can fit my custom inserts with no problem. I have another pair that are waterproof that are several years old and have held up great so I am expecting the same with these. Only downsides were they are just a little small but not enough to return. Also they aren't that ventilated and still a bit hot in the summer.

I am very happy with this product. Prior to purchasing these shoes I was having some foot issues. I have been wearing them for the past couple of weeks and my feet feel great. They did run a little bit bigger than expected, but the next size down would have been too small. Turned out to be a great shoe even with it being a little bit bigger. Again, supportive and comfortable.

This is now my eighth pair of Merrell hiking, walking and and/or work shoes. Just like the previous ones I have ordered, these too are great. I have worn them for extended ours and on many consecutive days. Hours of standing and walking on the shoe. The great internal feet support of the shoe leaves my feet and legs in great shape at the end of the day.

Comfortable shoes, and they look good. Shoes arrived smelling strongly like diesel, and I had to air them out outside for a few days. Shoe laces just a bit too short.

These shoes are very peculiar in that there is arch support but no support forvthe front on the foot the arch support inner pad is crepe thin in the toes and the arch seems to push your toes out to the outer edge so that you feel the ridge where the soul is bound to the upper. I took the arch support out and put in a thicker Dr school pad and all is fine now.. for the money it’s very uncomfortable

I have had several pairs of Merrell footwear. One pair I have had for years and worn on daily basis. Recently bought another pair due to their looks and longevity. The only real issue I have is with the laces. They do not stay tied all day long. I have to retie every so often and usually at most inopportune moments.

These were comfortable out of the box. I have just been wearing them around town, not out on any hike, but the traction isn't great. Maybe on a trail will be different.

These shoes, much like my Merrell boots, fit well and are comfortable even after a long day on your feet. The only problem I've found is that they are a little bit tight across the toes, which is unfortunate for a Wide shoe.

Almost perfect fit but the shoe appears to run small at the toe box. My big toe can touch the end of the toe box when in almost every other style of shoe it has slightly more room. If you're on the edge of a size, you're best going a 1/2 size higher.

The sizing in this brand appears to have shrunk by 1/2 size since the last time I bought the same brand and style 3 years ago.
