I have been a loyal fan of the Moabs for years ! These did not disappoint and fit true to size. I am a 9.5 and I have plenty of room for toe movement . A few years ago - the footbed changed and I needed to go up a size . Please take note of that if your an old fan of this style like I am . I had to go up 1/2 .

Like all Merrill's they are comfortable right out of the box. They hold up well over the long haul.

I ordered these Merrels online as I was pretty sure of the size from having a previous pair. They were shipped on time and fit well right out of the box. True to size 8.5 and very comfortable. Lacing also stays tied. With snow melting it is slushy and these boots do not leak. Feet stay dry. The sole also gives me good traction and confidence in walking, as I am 68 yrs young and live in rural Iowa.

Love the shoe. Comfortable and has good ankle support. I wear a 7 1/2 shoe and was not sure how it would fit. Went ahead and order a 7 1/2 and fits perfect! Have a little wiggle room by toes which is what I wanted.

I read a lot of reviews to decide on this purchase. For the price, the features are amazing. I've already walked on these over 500 miles this year. They removed my foot and joint pain that I was getting from a different sub-brand. I appreciate that they are waterproof from wet dewy grass in the morning as well. They feel snug at first but break in after the first week or two. I went up a 1/2 size to adjust for this.

Exceeded expectations. My second pair of Moab 2 and opted for Gortex this time for wet trails and greater warmth. I wear 9.5 sneakers and shoes. First pair of Moabs I was fitted at the store for size 10 so ordered a 10. Perfect fit! Only have to adjust the laces for the socks I'm wearing. Wore these the first day in 18 degrees with wool hiking socks for about an hour. My feet were very comfortable! This week wore them on sand roads and at the beach with lots of pooled water - super dry. Have also worn them on rocky terrain hikes and all day working in the yard. Heel is well cushioned, arch is in the right place and no irritation at the ankle. I also have bunions so can't wear shoes that are tight or with restricting seams in outer big toe area. No issues with these. Highly recommend.

I am a senior who walks , my feet are not good anymore . I live in these Merrel shoes , better than anything podiatrist stores sell .

Little stiffer than the non Gore-Tex, but enjoying the dry feet. Mostly hiking the North Country Trail. Breaking these in for ten mile hikes next season....I like them.

Wore these while snowshoeing and my feet stayed dry and warm! They're very comfortable and didn't take any wearing in before I took them out hiking! So had I got these shoes!

This is my daily shoe. The fit is so great and I love the look. When I wear a pair out (which takes a long time) they become my barn shoes and I buy new ones. Worth every penny!!!

These shoes are great! Waterproof makes for happy feet as I walk through damp leaves and grass! They were comfortable right away - no breaking in time was needed.

Really happy with these. I have gone through 2 pairs of sneakers within a few months. I walk a lot with my dog on sidewalks, fields, hike and we use a dog park that has pea stone. So far they are holding up a lot better than my past sneakers. They handle a lot better on wet fields than sneakers. It did take a little time for them to break in, but it could be because I am not use to hiking shoes. I wear these all the time and they are great on rainy days.

Bought this shoe as a replacement to my old Moabs that lasted me almost 7 years. They've been on 2 good hikes so far and while they need a little more time to feel like a perfect glove on my feet, they are exactly what I expected. The updated (and by updated, I mean in comparison to my old ones) version feels much lighter as well. I have not taken them in any water yet, but it is only a matter of time. I fully expect these to take me on many adventures for years to come.

I love these! I hiked 3.5 miles with moderately thick socks and my feet felt fantastic. No rubbing or pinching. Then I wore them with thinner socks and they were still comfortable!! I haven't gotten them wet yet, but I'm very pleased!

These fit as expected for an 8.5, and perfect for me. The toe box is wide and the rest of the shoe fits very well. I wore them in preparation for a short hike (8 miles) for about 5 days. They have been comfortable from the get-go and I think I could have taken them out of the box at the beginning of the hike and would have been fine. I haven't tested the waterproofness since we've had no rain for about 3 weeks, but I feel confident that the Gortex lining will ensure they are waterproof. I am very happy with the purchase of these shoes.

I chose Gore-Tex water proof shoes instead of Regular waterproof because I think Gore-Tex is better as a water proof shoe. The Gore-Tex shoe is Stiffer than Regular Merrell water proof shoes, but it necessary for me to have the best shoe for work and at home that my shoes keep as much water out as possible. But a Caution. .The shoe is much Stiffer than Regular Merrell water proof shoes, and are not as Comfortable. It is worth if for me. I do wear Regular Merrell shoes, 3 pair that are not water proof, and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had.

These are great. Have good support and I wear them for everyday shopping and hiking trips.

Merrell, I love your boots and shoes but please make some more colors! I've had the last pair of these and love them but they are getting shot. My options are to get the same color, which I'm kind of sick of, or brown. Well, I have another pair of your boots in brown. How about gray with teal detail? These are great shoes. Keep your feet super dry. I've hiked up and down mountains in them and through mud for 6 hours and still, my feet were dry. After five years and that last hike through the mud in the mountains, they are finally starting to separate on sides and I need new ones. The Gore-Tex is the best. Little stiff at first but is key for keeping extremely dry.

I have a hard time finding shoes that I can wear for more than a few hours due to multiple foot surgeries and painful rheumatoid arthritis in my feet. I tried the Moab 2 Gortex on was so happy with light they were and the way they fit. 3 weeks later and I'm hiking 5 - 8 miles a day. They are so comfortable paired with a good pair of hiking socks that I find myself wearing them all day long, and I've just ordered my 2nd pair.

Love these shoes! The fit is perfect. I have a bunion on my left foot and Merrell shoes and boots are the only brand I have found that cause no issues with it. They are rugged, comfy, and they look good all at the same time. The goretex is a must for me so I'm happy all around. Thanks Merrell for being consistent in quality and sizing.

A terrific shoe- I really like it. Excellent fit, wonderful support, looks nice.

I am hooked on Merrell. The Woman's Moab Gortex shoe is comfortable for walks involving hills and definitely friendly on feet, hips and knees for the 50 plus age group. Highly recommend and I won't go to another brand.
