I had a pair of these that lasted around 20 years because I completely wore them out. I spent about the same amount then I think and the local Farm and Fleet carried them. I planted gardens with them, hiked, did everything in them. My orthotics fit in them to correct my spine imbalance and they are worth every dime. I hope that these last as long and I plan on getting the black boots like this for the ice and cold. I had forgotten the name of my last pair so it took me awhile to find them. If you want to feel safe on the ice with a very well made shoe then this is your brand.

I just took these out of the box today and they are the first hiking boot to fit my wide foot with a high instep and bunions. It felt like heaven!!! I just came back from a quick two mile hike on varied terrain and they were wonderful. No need to break in. Thank you for making wide width shoes. These are wonderful!!

This boots are light weight and very comfortable. I bought them for everyday work wear. I needed durable, breathable boots something better than what I was currently using. They were comfortable right from the start, no break in needed. I was surprised to find the wide width and size fit my feet just right. I can't wait to get more!
Anyone needing a sturdy pair of shoes for work/activities on concrete or standing for long periods of time I recommend giving these a try. They breathe and offer great arch and ankle support without breaking the bank

I hope Merrell never stops making these boots cause they've changed my life. I never thought I could hike, but in these boots, I feel like I can do anything. Absolutely great for all levels of trail. Great support without being too rigid. Great grip without being too heavy. Just absolutely perfect in every way.

I bought these for our trip to Iceland. I have wide, flat feet and need support for my knees as well. I was a bit nervous wearing a brand new pair of shoes on the trip, but these are the BEST shoes for my feet and knee issues that I've ever worn! My only regret is that I wish I had spent a little more and bought the waterproof pair!

I ordered a size 8 and they fit well. My usual size is 7.5 or 8 depending on the brand. In most Merrells I wear a 7.5. Since I typically wear socks with these this was perfect to have the size 8. I haven't gone on a hike yet but I can usually tell if shoes are going to work and these most likely will.

Super comfortable shoes. The wide width I prefer when being on my feet all day. I took these shoes up 11,000ft in the Rocky Mountain National Park and they did amazing! Of course they are not waterproof, but even stepping in some mud and snow my feet were happy & dry.

I really like my Moab 2 hikers. Partly because they are so comfortable but mostly because I can get them in a wide width. Took them for a hike in the Sherburne Wildlife Preserve, perfect day hike. I live in Minnesota and take many day hikes.

These are so comfortable! I love them! Second pair, had to get a wide size because I work out with weights and my feet have spread. They fit great and are waterproof.

I am a size 6-1/2 W. Zappo suggested going up to a 7 W. It is a bit too large; I should have ordered my normal size.

So happy that these Moab 2 Mid Ventilator Wide Width hiking boots were wide enough for my extra-wide toe box, even in medium-weight socks! I remembered to wear them a few times out and about before hiking them up mountains and after determining my preferred tension on the laces, they were absolutely stellar, protecting my feet from rocks, mud, etc. on mid-spring hikes in the northeast!

This boot is incredibly comfortable. I read a lot of reviews and tried on several hiking boots before I tried the Merrell Moab. I usually wear an 8W but got an 8.5W to accommodate thicker socks and this size is perfect. There is plenty of room for the toes and the thick padding around ankle and the top lace hooks allowed for a nice snug fit. I wore them on a hike right out of the box and had no problems. They had great support and had no slipping on steep declines. Very happy with this purchase.

I took mine to Sedona! Seriously worth every penny. They had enough grip so I wouldn't slide, they were the perfect color and didn't look dirty even after they were covered in red dirt and they made it so my feet didn't hurt after a 6 hour hike.

Yesterday i took my Moab's to Eagle trail in Peninsula State Park, Door County Wisc. The trail is rated Difficult due to very rough rocky and tree root covered trails that decend 200+' down to the shore of Green Bay. I felt steady and comfortable the whole trip and finally got to complete this trail!

These might not be the most stylish boot every but the fit and support are great. I wanted a hiking boot with ankle support for warm weather and this fits the bill. I normally wear a 9 wide or 9.5 wide depending on brand/fit and ordered these in a 9.5 wide and the fit is perfect. I can't wait to go on summer hikes now!

Have several Merrell, and the Moab was my go-to boot on our Utah vacation. Feel broken in almost immediately!
Now my beef. Why no black for women? I want a black Moab because when I take these boots to Switzerland, I wear black jackets and coats. Sand colored shoes just don't look right. So, I end up wearing other brands that aren't as comfortable. I mean, who doesn't wear black??? At least my hubs was able to get grey Moabs with black accents.
