These are a sturdy hiking boot but still comfortable, breathable, and lightweight. No break-in was necessary. Was perfect for our trip to Peru and looking forward to more hiking in them in Africa. They are nice that they come above the ankle for protection. I wear light-to-medium weight wool socks and ordered my regular size. Very pleased.

Fit was great right out of the box. Was only wear them to work one day before heading out hiking for the first time. They performed great on various terrain, awesome grip and overall gave good stability and confidence. Experienced no blisters, hot spots, or foot fatigue at all. 100% recommend these boots for lightweight, non-waterproof, warm weather use!

I've been wearing Merrell shoes for about 4 years. I purchased these boots for work and so far they meet my expectations. I wish I had gotten the waterproof version, but we'll see how these hold together. They fit well and are, overall, a good looking, comfortable boot.

I love the Moab 2 Mid Ventilator! My job is very demanding as I deliver for a food service. I average walking 5-7 miles per day, up and down the ramp. I literally buy 4 pair of these (Black Knight) per year as I wear out the bottoms. But due to the comfort and being so light weight, they really work well for me. Thank you Merrell for an awesome product!

This is probably my eleventh pair of Merrell shoes - because their service is always excellent, and their shoes are the most comfortable available! I bought these rugged shoes because I am doing more and more walking, sometimes in rugged terrain generally in good weather. These shoes are light, strong and durable - and most comfortable. I strongly recommend them - and Merrell!

Thes shoes have been a staple in my outdoor gear. The comfort is unparelleled, even out of the box. This model is great ankle support and the best grip, so I always feel sure-footed. Size is perfect, especially my wide foot.

Bought these shoes after going back and forth with choosing between these and Columbia which I've worn for years. Very impressed with the wider toebox than the Columbia's I was looking at. Put them on out out of the store and went for a nice 8 mile hike in the Rockies. Crossed lots of little snow fields, mud, and running water,....these shoes did not disappoint. Wil definitely be my new favorite.

I've been wearing Merrell Moab Mid 2 Ventilators for about 4 years now. I wear them 5 or 6 days a week as a general contractor/remodeler. A pair usually lasts about 6 months, abusing them the way I do. That is about twice as long as other brands I wore in the past. (Nike, Hi-Tec)
They're not accessories, they're essential tools for all day every day use.
I 100% recommend these shoes.

I've worked in Law Enforcement for over 20 years and I switched to Merrell about 15 years ago. I don't wear anything else. The MOAB is my go to boot. Durable, looks good and is super comfortable. I wear these things 12-14 hours a day. My feet, knees and back never hurt me because of my footwear. Terrain don't matter you can go anywhere. It's like having comfortable 4 wheel drive tires for your feet. Best shoes on the Market, Hand Down!

These are my second of currently three pairs of Merrells. I got them primarily for hiking in the deserts of West Texas, primarily Big Bend National Park, and they have not let me down. Water is not usually a problem out there, so the ventilator is a perfect fit for that use case.

My husband loves these so much that he ordered a second pair. He has wide, flat feet, and he usually wears a 4e. The wide fits him perfectly, and he plans to use a pair for hiking and another for lifting.

These shoes surprised me by how light weight they are. They give excellent support of the ankles but are not too tight. Very comfortable.
