I have the moab ventilator (not waterproof) version and love them. Needed a waterproof hiker and tried these and they're great.

This is the third pair of these I've owned. The toe box on one shoe has a seam that's glued together downwards, digging into the toes. The warranty period on them is now 30 days, too. Quality isn't what it once was, and these will probably be my last pair.

Needed waterproof /resistant shoes for work. The waterproofing does not last long. Shoes fit great & were comfortable from 1st day

Doesn't let my feet 'breathe'. Just wearing around in house feet got smelly . ?

I got the same size as my normal tennis shoe and my toe was painfully hitting side of shoe. Go half size bigger if getting these.

These shoes are heavy, sturdy and have great traction. However, I started to feel pain in the back of my heels/achilles area within the first hour of use. The shape of the back of the shoe is strange. Also note, I needed to add extra insole support as the shoe is very flat.

Hiked Wonderland in them. Definitely waterproof and had good traction on slick rocks. Prevented a few rolled ankles. Fit tighter than my other merrells and caused some significant blisters. I think the toe box is narrower than other models.

Usually there is no wide option and I purchase 8. I have an old merrell 8 water shoe which is too big. I chosen 7.5W for this style. The shoe is all good except my left foot small toe feels squeezed and painful. Looking at the curve, the toe area narrows down too sharp. It is wide size, so it should be wide. It is bad design. I read review of moab 2 ventilator, a lady had similar issue and according to her, the older generation shoe had much better design. I saw many product had defect new design compared to older one. Over the years, technology improves, but people's wide feet curve won't narrow down. So why do you change the curve?

I have worn Merrells for many years and never experienced the rubbing and pain that I experienced with this pair of boots. I did a test hike in them before leaving for Scotland and they seemed fine. In Scotland I had to apply moleskin to my right ankle as the boot rubbed my ankle raw. I had to wear them as I had no other boots or hiking shoes with me. I doubt that I can return them now. Not so happy with these boots.

They start to leak within a month. Two weeks after that your feet will be completely wet. They fit great but I really like dry feet.
