I purchased a pair of these boots in the granite and loved them! Loved them so much I ordered a second pair in a different color. HUGE MISTAKE. The 2nd pair of boots fit nothing like the 1st, even tho the only difference is the color. Second pair even looks cheaply made. I am so disappointed. What a waste of money. When I called Merrell to inquire about the difference in quality, I was told that because I wore them outside, I'm stuck with them. Keen offers 60 days, regardless where you wear the boot. They're hiking books for crying out loud, how else do you find out of they fit right, certainly not walking around on the carpet of your home. I walk 9.5 miles a day for work, so it is crucial that I have a proper fit. I loved my first pair of boots and the second pair should not have been any different. Clearly Merrell doesn't care about the quality of their products nor their customers. I will never buy another pair of shoes from this company...and I buy new boots every three months. If I would have know that different colors are made in different places and I was going to have to accept or pair of lesser quality shoes for the same price, I would have purchased the same color as I initially purchased. So bummed about this

Merrell used to be my go to hiking boot but these were ridiculous. I've always worn medium width shoes and I had to tie these so tight they looked terrible, the length was so short, it felt a full size smaller than my usual. same with the Merrell Siren Edge, which I am also returning. maybe if I had Fred Flintstone feet, they would work. I'm very disappointed. get your crap together, Merrell! Over the last 10 years, I've found that Keens don't have squat for arch support and their toe boxes are way too wide as well. I'm not even sure what to recommend anymore

At first I was very happy with these shoes. Comfortable, lightweight and generally very well made. Then I hiked in wet conditions. Snow and some shallow puddles. These shoes are not waterproof. Socks were wet when I took them off. They're still wet inside despite leaving them in my warm laundry room 24 hours ago. So pretty disappointing considering I bought them for hiking up here in the Pacific Northwest. They claim to be waterproof.

I'm a perfect 7.5 which is what I purchased. Boots were too small. Was able to sell them to a friend. A year later, I bought a size 8 and they are way too big. I've worn them so can't return!! Very disappointed - inconsistent sizing.

They are supposed to be waterproof. Mine are not. I bought them a while ago to be prepared for the wet weather. Just started wearing them and my feet get wet. Very very disappointed. The only reason I bought them was because they are SUPPOSED to be waterproof

I usually wear a size 7 1/2 in my running shoes with thick socks. All my other shoes are size 7's. I ordered a 7 1/2 in this boot and it was way too small.

I loved these shoes as soon as I got them- super comfy - but once I wore them (after breaking them in properly) on a couple of hikes, both of my ankles got terribly blistered. Tried them again after the blisters healed and it happened again. And yes, the fit was perfect, I'm a twice a week year-round hiker and buy a new pair of shoes every year. I've used several different brands and this has never happened. First time buying Merrell. Sadly, it will be my last.

I ordered this boot in December 2020 as a replacement for a three year old Merrell boot. The old boot was still waterproof, but was showing wear. The new pair was fine for a couple of months of walking in the woods 3 times a week. It is now no longer waterproof or even water-resistant. After walking through the woods in wet grass, my feet are soaked through the socks. Today I wore the previous pair of Merrell boots that are 3+ years old. Even though it had rained yesterday, my socks and feet were dry. The previous pair does not have the mesh type material, and the newer pair does. I am very disappointed that I need to order a new hiking boot after owning this boot for only 8 months.

I bought these boots a few months ago. They are super super comfortable and good arch support. Both boots soaked through walking through wet grass. I'm so disappointed. I wouldn't even consider these water resistant.

I bought these boots two months ago and really wanted to love them. There was no break in period and for short walks they were great. As soon as I started doing longer than 5km hikes in them I've been experiencing this awful pain on the bottom of my left foot. The right foot is totally fine which leads me to believe it's an issue with the shoe. I'm disappointed in the inconsistency between the left and right boot and won't be ordering these again.

I've worn Merrells for years but the Moab 2 Mid Waterproof does not live up to its name (by a long shot). Each time I wear them, I end the hike with soaked feet. I don't wade through creeks or rivers; I simply walk in the morning dew. Even setting the boots in the sun to dry, when I take out the bed liner there is moisture beneath it. Merrell, this product is not as advertised. Reader, if you're considering buying these boots, make sure you'll be hiking in the desert.

I bought these boots two months ago becasue they to good reviews. I have put up with the tongue being too thick to lace correctly and having hiking crap in my boots becasue they were pretty comfortable. I wanted waterproof boots. I walked in these boots through wet grassy fields on a misty rainy day and my feet were soaked by the end of the hike. These are not waterproof. When I called Merrill they told me that if I wanted waterproof I needed to buy the ones with Gortex. Apparently these are only waterproof on the outside. Not sure how you can advertise them as waterproof if they dont keep your feet dry. I'll never buy another pair of Merrill's

I first ordered size 8.5 because that is what I normally wear. They were too small, so I exchanged for size 9. The 9s are even smaller than the 8.5s! Poor quality control. Then, to return the 9s they charged me! Definitely not what Merrell used to be. Will be getting my shoes somewhere else.

I bought these at the end of last summer. They are not waterproof. If you intend to only hike in dry conditions they are comfortable. But they do not suit my purposes at all as my feet get wet and I live in a temperate rainforest. I am very disappointed with these, they leaked since day one.

Bought the weatherproof boots last July. The right boot gave me blisters on the heel when hiking more than 6 miles every time I wore them. I was able to get them stretched so that problem was resolved. Additionally, they made my feet sweat even though I live in Colorado where it isn't that warm in the mountains. If all that wasn't bad enough, a chunk of the sole fell off in February. I've had many boots in the past and have never had this problem. I've also bought several Merrill shoes which I've liked very much. Unfortunately, I bought the boots from a local retailer so there wasn't anything they could do for me. I'm going to be buying new boots, but definitely NOT Merrells.

It was about 5 or 6 months after I first started wearing these that I had the chance to test their waterproof capabilities in rainy hiking conditions. My left foot was soaked and my right damp. My first pair of Merrell's stayed waterproof for 10 years. The second did not. This was my third pair. At the end of the day I've realized that boots with lots of panels and stitch lines just don't hold up when it comes to being waterproof. I also don't find the Merrell M Select FIT.ECO+ blended EVA contoured footbed in these boots to have the arch support of some of the other Merrell's I have loved. They feel a bit flat. Wish the search had a filter for footbed/last style.

I bought these at the recommendation of a merrell employee I chatted with when I had questions. I've tried these on two hikes. Pros: They are VERY comfortable. Toe box is my biggest issue. I didn't want my toes crammed in the front when walking downhill. These did an excellent job of not doing that. Cons I found on Hike #1: They advertise as waterproof. They are no where near waterproof...not even water resistant! I walked across a rocky creek and I could feel the water pouring in through the shoes. Later I slipped on rocks and busted my elbow. They took 24 hours to dry outdoors. Cons I found on Hike #2: They have no tread. I thought that on the first hike but wanted to try them outside of water to be sure that is the issue. I slipped on dirt, mud, rocks, you name it! It's no better than wearing a sneaker. I'm super unimpressed and feel like I've wasted a ton of money since I'm going to have to buy something else.

Merrell has lowered their standard of quality...without lowering their prices. Returning these because they hurt my feet just standing in them. No foot support and they're not sized correctly as they always have been. My feet were hitting the end of the shoe...I've been happily getting their shoes for years...I won't be purchasing this brand anymore. I"m floored, Merrell...literally. :(

I have always worn Merrell Shoes. They have always been my favorite. I got a new pair of MOAB's about 10 months ago. I hike about 5 miles a day and 5 days/week I wear the MOAB's. The First 4-6 months of wearing the boot, it stayed dry when I was crossing creeks and wetlands. At first, occasionally, I would note wetness, but I was unsure where it was coming from and it was minor. In the last 2 months the shoe has started coming loose from the sole, and so, leaking more. They are falling apart. I had my last pairs of Merrell's for over 12 years and they are all still dry. This was a big purchase for me and I was hoping these shoes would last 5-10 years. I am not sure if I just got a bad pair or you changed the kind of glue you are using, but I am disappointed in this pair of shoes.

NOT WATERPROOF!!!!!!!! I just took a walk with my dog in a light rain. Soaked from the beginning - by the time I got home could squeeze water out of my socks and the insoles were totally wet. AVOID at all costs. Speaking of cost ... When I think how many pairs I tried on ... joke's on me that I chose Merrell. Never again. SOOOO disappointed and can't return as previous hikes were not rainy. Didn't know til now. Grrrrr......

Very disappointed with these boots. I wear a 10, normal width, and my toes were pressing against the end. The insoles felt very hard and not cushioned at all. They just looked "cheap".
