Fine fit and comfort on 4-mile wet leafy hike over moderately rocky terrain. Held grip well. Ankles felt well supported. I will say that on a 75-degree or hotter day, these babies would be hot. Nubuck doesn’t breathe especially well.

Really liked them, just to narrow for my fat feet

Love the look and the style, read reviews, ordered a half size bigger (true 7.5, ordered size 8) too long. So I ordered my true size, 7.5...... too short. Guess Merrell isn't my 'go to' shoe brand anymore.
If sizing was correct, I think it would have felt great for cushion.

These are comfortable and W I D E as advertised. I admit I haven’t really broken them in yet since it’s been such a warm September. The price is also fair. I count on these lasting a couple of years. Sadly and to my knowledge, the Moab 2 shoes are the only waterproof hiker Merrell makes: in a WIDE WOMENS WIDTH. Call me crazy but, I believe there are a lot of women with WIDE FEET. Also the available colors—other than the charcoal—are truly ugly. See for yourself.

They were a tad small. I normally were a 7.5 but the arch support did not hit in the right spot. They did not have the color I wanted in a size 8.

Guys, I love these boots! They're comfortable, I can walk in them all day in cold in warm weather, rugged terrain or smooth terrain. Yeah my feet get sweaty, but you don't notice it and the waterproof works perfectly. I would have given these boots 5 stars, but I have only one tiny complaint. It doesn't matter what I'm walking on or what socks I wear with them, I get dirt and pebbles that work their way in from the back, across the bottom of my feet and down to my toes. I spent a lot of money (the best always costs a little more) on these shoes and I love them, but every now and then I have to stop and remove a pointy little rock that's worked its way under my foot. It's super annoying. Other than that, I'd recommend these boots to absolutely anybody.

I am still evaluating these. They felt great at home They were much easier to get on than my last pair. I usually wear 5 1/2 or 6 so I purchased 6 as they had been described as running small. I have only been on two hikes since purchasing and on the down hill parts my toes were running into the front. The hikes were both ones that were constant up and down hills, not consistently up and then down hill. Not sure, but wondering if I should not have gone up another half size. However, I have narrow feet and the heel fits well on these, not sliding. Overall I would recommend them, they seem solid and comfortable.

I loved these boots right out of the box. For winter, my regular size 7 fits fine, but now in the summer, I need the wide as my feet are swelling more as I hike. Other than that difference, very comfortable. Unfortunately, not very waterproof. They keep my feet dry from a puddle, but not from crossing a shallow creek (and I'm very carefully paying attention so as the water doesn't go over the top to soak my feet). Same spot every time my feet get wet. Love this boot and will get a second pair for summer hiking.

Had to order a size larger than normal. Overall good shoe. Needed a wider fit for hiking Machu Picchu. Destroyed my toes. Recommend a wider toe box ang go a half or full size up.

I bought these shoes in wide due to bunions. However, they were still too narrower. It’s a nice looking boot and the support was good, The water proofing material makes them appear bulky. If you have slender feet I highly recommend these.

Love the look. Love the comfort. I find many shoes are too tight across the base of the toes but these feel great. No break in period needed. Walked 8 miles the first time without any blisters or sore spots. I've had them for about 3 months now, with light wear (weekend walks on paved trails) and went out in the freezing snow/sleet today (April in Chicago). Very disappointed that the tops of my toes are wet because there were slushy conditions and the mesh of the shoe got wet and so did my socks. I didn't submerge the shoes at any point, and the wetness was not by the laces. Bummed. Still great boots, just not waterproof.

I didn’t have a chance to break these in before I needed them for a wet, muddy hike, but they were great out of the box! I have narrow feet, but they still fit, though I do feel they run a bit on the short side. GREAT waterproofing, though! I went through several major puddles and came out with dry feet!

I ordered these as I had tried on the size 7 in the store but after getting it home I thought it might be a little bit too big. I am looking for a shoe for an upcoming trip to Italy this spring. I want something that's comfortable and waterproof, and this fits the bill. I ended up keeping the size 7 and retuning these as the arch was more comfortable in size 7. I am really excited that these are available in wide since I have a bunion type issue on my right foot. I have worn Merrells four years and tried on so many different shoes/brands before I found these. These will be my favorite ones for years to come. I had worn the Reflex Hiker style for years, but the newer version didn't fit me well so I am happy I found these!

Haven't tried standing in a puddle but they stay dry in wet grass and mud. Very nice arch support so legs and feet don't hurt.

such as comfortable, sturdy and fashionable. It was smaller however then expected and did not do well with a medium weight hiking sock.

Boots are every bit as comfortable as I had expected, after wearing their shoes for years. I found I could not wear thicker socks so am exchanging them for a half size larger. Expect they will be perfect for my needs. Love Merrell!

First of all if you actually have wide feet don't get these boots. I have very narrow feet and the laces are really short. So I don't leave them up all the way so I can have room for my feet. Other then that which isn't really an issue, these boots are super comfortable. I wear them as my main pair of shoes for work and life. I didn't have any issues with rubbing or painful spots from the get. They are super cute for my style of dress. That also have kept my feet dry with some pretty nasty puddles. When is gotten below freezing my feet haven't been freezing. A little cold but not horribly.
If you have actual wide feet try a size bigger.

I generally can wear Merrells without issue, but these just were not comfortable. I liked the look, but I wanted a better fit.

I like the shoe but even the wide cuts too close to my pinkie. On a hike, they would be very uncomfortable!

I have custom orthotics. While they fit, the shoe didn’t give me the padding in the ball of my feet that I need. Thinner design overall but went with the North Face Hedgehog Fastpack which had more cushion overall. I really liked the look (made my foot look tiny) but you need comfort on the trail.

Had my last pair of Merrell hikers for 10 years and trudged in them through snow, rain, etc and they were wonderful. My feet run narrow and while Merrell does not, I can usually get by with a thicker sock and still have a good fit or add my own insert instead. These fit great out of the box. I went up a half size in the Falcon color. However, I returned them for the Granite color and had to go up a full size in those. Not sure what is going on with the sizing/color manufacturing discrepancies - but Zappos handled the exchange issues amazingly easily per usual.

Color: Espresso Ordered size 8 because 7.5 pressed on my toes. Size 8 was too large. Very sad--loved the espresso color.

Color Bungee Cord Size: 7.5; except for the black & orange laces I liked the color. Nice broad toe box but not very deep.
