Great shoe very comfortable. I bought a size bigger because I wear double socks and they feel great..perfect amount of room.

The Merrill's did not work for me unfortunately. Merrill has a great reputation and the shoes had everything I needed , except the toe box was too narrow for me. I have a neuroma on my left foot that is extremely painful. Any pressure and the neuroma makes it feel like I'm walking barefoot on glass. Sadly I had to return them and keep looking. I should say though , the right shoe felt great !

It's comfortable and easy to get on. No skidding. I did need extra thick socks for it to fit.

LOVE the wide toe box but wish there was a bit more arch support because my feet are a bit flat. Wore them on a long hike on a trail that was wet and muddy in sections. My feet were completely dry and warm! Great boots!

I bought this for winter hikes in Yosemite and it worked great. Snowshoed and played in the snow for hours but my feet stayed dry. Barely needed any break in and hiked strenuous trails with no problem. I'm taking one star off because the insole didn't have a good arch support and my arch started hurting after a while. I put my replacement arch supporting insole later. Usually wear 8, bought 8, and size worked fine even with thick socks.

Super comfortable for hiking all weekend in Sedona! Bought them brand new and didn't have time to break them in, but this wasn't an issue at all. Have sprained my ankle on past hikes in Arizona but rhese boit gave great support and great traction on some snowy, slippery rocks. Hiking through snow and over creek beds made my feet slightly wet I didn't give 5 stars because they weren't truly waterproof, more water resistant. Despite the weather and damp feet they didn't get cold at all.

I have not yet had the opportunity to try these shoes yet. But I'm looking forward to walking in them.

Confortable and stable right out of the box. Sturdy, but not too heavy. Moved from snow to ice to mud and back with no issues.

Excellent boots. My only critique is that I would prefer a double set of lacing hooks (vice one) at the top of the boot for extra stability.

First time buyer. Good so far! Only been on a few moderate hikes, and found comfortable. I am eager to see how they are after a long hike.

This purchase was a replacement for an existing Moab pair. I prefer to support local shops, but stores in my area are dismally short of stock due to Covid. I have been able to rely on the fit of Merrells, part of the reason why I stay loyal to the brand. There seems to be a weak spot in the design where the shoe flexes at the toe. In the last two pairs, this area was the first to wear through, compromising their waterproof capability after about a year of wear. I walk 3 to 5 miles daily, swapping this pair out with sturdier hiker.

These are awesome. I was initially worried because upon having received them and trying them on, it seemed that the arch was pretty high, but they haven't bothered my feet, so. Anyways, these needed no time in being broken in, and they have honestly done their job. Wore them on every single hike since receiving them, and they have kept my feet dry and warm, even after trudging through very deep mud, long and wide puddles, and small streams. I did take off one star primarily for quality concerns. The "complaint" that I do have is that it feels that the padding of the shoe under the front of the foot does feel, for a lack of better words, somewhat thin. Wore these on a relatively easy hike where we encountered a pretty rocky end, and I could really start to feel the impact of the sharp edges of the rocks on the bottoms of the front of my feet and it started to feel like wearing a pair of shoes that were wearing thin. Other than that, I love these and have no major complaints. They look and feel great, I think these would be a good fit for beginners like myself.

Comfortable right out of the box. I like the toe box/rounded toe. Looks great. AWESOME Vibram sole - I'll be a mountain goat!

This boot is a bit wide but not really wide enough to wear two pair of socks. It is comfortable and has good grip for icy winter walking

So far so good. The only con is that there could be more cushioning.

The boot is a quality boot. But the wide width is really just the same as a normal width in other brands.

I had been told by friends that they were wicked comfortable, and they are. The fit is great. I went out and walked several miles in them right away, and they were very comfortable. Not like the old days, when you had to break in hiking shoes before actually taking a hike!

These are a little heavier than my previous Merrell hiking boots. The sole is a little stiffer - but they are still very comfortable right out of the box. Also - the laces are super short, can barely tie them unless super tight (plan to switch those out for sure) Waterproofing is excellent - stepped into a very muddy spot that turned into a puddle and my feet were dry!
