These boots look great but are taking me a bit to get use to. Pretty stiff but I'm hoping they break in soon with my daily walks.

Tried them on; nice fit but disappointed that they don't have the speed lacing "hooks" at the top.

Comfortable and waterproof - just what I need to work on concrete floors. Wish they were even more comfortable as I do have some lower back pain even though they are a great shoe

This is my first Merrell shoe. I wear custom Rx orthotics that have a high arch. My foot is normal width with a narrow heel. This Merrell shoe gives me the support and warmth I want for colder weather. I don't hike. It's not comfortable or flexible like my leather sneakers, but it passes a few tests: my orthotics fit, great ankle support, no heel slippage, and warmth. I wish there was a little more room for my outer toes. That's not a shoe problem, that's the nature of my custom Rx orthotics. There's not much flexibility with the sole, so it sometimes bothers my chronic hip flexor pain. All in all, a solidly built shoe.

Wanting a waterproof boot for walking the dogs. A little stiffer than my last pair.

Great hiking boot for what it's worth. Highly recommend wearing thick wool socks with these. Not a whole lot of cushioning on the inside, feels more hard and stiff, as hiking shoes do. But they are still comfortable.

What can I say? I just bought my third pair in a couple years. I have limited funds but these boots are worth it when and where I can find a sale. I wish I could wear them in summer. My old feet love the cushioning especially on the top. The bottom, I have to add my own cushioning but that's with every shoe I've worn for the last 30 years. I don't like the insert they put in their shoes but they are easy enough to remove and add my own.

My third pair of Moab 2. I ordered these when i saw they are being replaced by a narrower Moab 3. These have saved my feet. The only thing i would change would be a more roomy toebox.

Great fit for my very wide 7.5 feet. And they are light weight

Sturdy and great traction. I work these for a moderate hike two weekends ago, and they work great on the trail. The one setback was the back of my left ankle got a little sore, but other than that everything else was perfect. I expect that even the problem with the back ankle will resolve after another hike to break them in.

I have had many pairs of these hiking shoes and have loved each pair. They are comfortable, support my ankles, and are lasting. I have, however, one issue and it's not with the shoe, but the laces. The last pair I purchased, I can't double tie the bow. The laces are too short. My laces come undone almost every time I walk, which is 5 days a week. I still have my last pair and am going to switch laces, but I shouldn't have to do it.

Bought these for hiking and they were great for walking and climbing but when coming downhill, the high backs cut into my ankles. It was so painful I won't wear them again except for general winter weather. Feel like they need a cutout section or softer edging to avoid that.

The Moab 2 hiking shoe was a little too large. After these shoes arrived, I went back to Zappos and read reviews about the Moab 3 hiking boots. Really good reviews on that one so I ordered it and the fit was great and also comfortable. First time wearing them was also comfortable...no need to break them in!

I loved that these shoes are so comfortable and WATERPROOF!! They are high enough above the ankle that I don't get a lot of grass, etc on me. I walk in the dog park near woods every day! The only reason I gave a 4 and not a 5 is because I need a little extra cushion in the shoe and will add an insert. Otherwise, my feet are dry and the walking is comfortable!

I sized up for these shoes and am glad I did. They fit perfectly out of the box and needed no breaking-in time. Better arch support than some other models, including other Merrell's, and the arch support may be a reason to size up because that support takes a bit more room. The shoe has a nice, sturdy bottom. Handled rocks well. The mesh on the top of the shoe adds some bulk, and surely that isn't completely waterproof. Tried 8 or 9 other shoes with similar price, including Bean, Columbia, other Merrell's. I need a wide-ish toe box, but this shoe's regular width was sufficient.

Very comfortable and great to wear. Only thing is the rubber on the toe of the shoe started to come off after about 3-4x's wearing. Had to glue it back on. Only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5

First of all, these are NOT WATERPROOF. They are NOT even WATER RESISTANT. Hence my need to post a review and deduct a star. I literally just wore them in WET GRASS on a misty morning hike in Iceland (no puddles or standing water) and my socks were soaked/I could literally pour water out of these shoes. So DO NOT BUY IF YOU PLAN TO WEAR IN WET CONDITIONS. In normal dry/desert conditions in Colorado, they are great hiking shoes. I was getting blisters until I started wearing them w hiking socks, and now they’re almost perfect.

Foot bed is hard and did not offer the desired support for hiking. Not as stiff as the Timberline's I also ordered but they were still stiff.

Usually take 7 1/2W but had to return for 7W. Delighted they fit comfortably with a med weight hiking sock so I am ready for fall travels. Comfortable, light weight and flexible.

This is my 2nd pair of Moab boots. These are a slightly different design because the tongue pushes against the top bend of my foot. I have to adjust the laces and tongue often. Never had that with my other pair. I hope they break in and are more comfortable soon!

A bit bigger than expected but still fairly comfortable. The wide has a bulky look but considering these are hiking shoes, I suppose that’s normal. Returning these and getting a smaller size.

I love the Moab hiking boot. They are durable and provide enough support while still staying comfortable. My only issue is the metal lace hook at the top of the boot. It's very easy for a lace to get caught while hiking and literally pull you down. Need to make sure you tuck in leftover laces into the shoe.

I really loved my first pair (8.5), they lasted 8+ years. Ordered replacement pair (9- carrying a heavier load and lots more backpacking need 1/2 size up toe wiggle room), dropped them in the river first day out, then tried to dry them near the fire. Right boot ruined by melted tongue and toe kick but wearable yet boot never the same. Ordered third pair-they are the exact same size ordered (9) as the second pair but they are huge. I mean a full size up/ like a 10 instead of a 9 but Merrill wants to charge me to return for a different pair. The issue is not sure if a factory defect or sizing inconsistencies but if I order another 9 I risk a huge boot and if I order an 8.5 they will be too small. My local store doesn't carry them or I would just go there. Not helping with an issue reduces the stars to 4 but Moab's are the best, I have quite the collection of hiking shoes and boots but these are my most comfortable!
