I have really struggled to find a waterproof boot that's comfortable. Finally! 8 1/2 Wide actually fit my forefoot. I wish it was a taller boot, but I'm thrilled to be comfortable!

I bought mine two years ago, in advance of a trip through the Westfjords of Iceland. I needed a rugged and waterproof boot that would stand up to the change-on-a-dime weather conditions of an Iceland summer. They did great! But after a while I have found that the more I wear them, the more my knees and hips hurt. I *think* the heel-to-toe drop of this boot is just too high for me. I will continue my search elsewhere for my perfect hiking boot. But for people with a solid heel-strike when hiking, these are fantastic. I see other people have experienced problems with the waterproofing, but mine have kept my feet dry through rain, snow, and way-too-deep puddles!

I've taken about two short five km hikes. The shoes are very comfortable and didn't feel as though I had to break them in at all. There's ample cushioning around the ankle so that I didn't feel as though any part was rubbing or cutting into my skin. I haven't worn Merrel hiking shoes for a good number of years because my old pair were so uncomfortable. I think that they've probably overhauled their designed because these were very comfortable to wear and there is more than enough room around the toe box. The only thing I noticed was a bit of knee pain around the inside of my knee. I do have knee problems only when running so I'm not sure whether the shoe back heel is higher than the front.

I knew when buying a waterproof boot that they would be warm, but I was not prepared for how warm my feet would get! I'm not a hot person, but after five miles at 73 degrees, my socks were wet. That being said, I roll my ankles frequently and the ankle support in these was great on steep inclines and over loose stones and roots. I would absolutely recommend them, but be wary if you run hot

Purchased the Moab mid ll WP for my girlfriend. She needed a pair of light comfortable hikers for our hunting and hiking trips. In our test hikes, she is very pleased with the comfort and traction.

Sturdy and comfy

I was very excited that this hiking boot came in wide. Unfortunately, it was still too narrow for my feet - I have very wide feet. The boot seemed good quality and looked nice. It was tight on the top of the foot, however. If you don't have extra wide feet, this boot might work for you.

I love the fit of these boots. That's why this purchase is my second pair of exactly the same. I figure I put at least 1000 miles of rocky terrain on the last pair over the last 2 years. I was beginning to feel too much through the bottom in my toe area and tried to fix it by ordering new insoles, but that didn't do it. The only reason I gave these less than 5 stars is because I had hoped they might last a little longer. But I guess it's the mileage, not the age.

They are super comfortable and lightweight. Great traction and arch support. Thankful they didnt have a break-in period - comfortable straight out of the box!

I have worn this shoe on a few hikes -- easy,medium and hard and have had a great experience. I love the way it fits and supports the feet and ankles. I have had no problem with the shoe so far but noted that it is slightly slippery when coming downhill and I have had fallen a few times. That's the only thing that is stopping me from giving it a 5 star.

Great hiking shoe

I laced it up tighter and added a foot pad to fill the width for me but I'm a woman who wears a 12 and length was right on. My feet weren't sore after the first long day of hiking with the new boot. I like something covering my ankle when hiking in summer brush. Overall, I'm happy.

Love the boots, but they are not waterproof. Hiked in wet grass today, socks were soaked when I finished.

These boots are amazing !! I bought these boots online without trying them on ( because of COVID-19), and I was a little nervous they wouldn't fit. I usually get an 8, but after reading reviews, I decided to buy a 1/2 size up. Goodthing too because they fit perfectly !!! So glad I decided to get the wide! My last hiking boots were from a cheap hiking store and never quite fit right (they always gave me blisters and hurt my toes A LOT). But after wearing these boots, I will never look back! The Moab 2 wide is so comfy, it's like heaven on my feet! I've worn them about 4 times now, and I NEVER got one blister! They also have really good shock absorptions when jumping off of rocks, and these boots never cause any pain to my feet. For the grip, these boots work great on a gravel trail and more technical trails that have a lot of uneven rocks and roots. My only complaint is that when wearing these boots, they don't do too great in mud, and I slide a lot when walking over wet roots. Overall though, if you are looking for a comfy boot that is good on almost every terrain, then I would 100% recommend this boot !! IM OBSESSED!!!

This hiking boot is awesome it was everything the description said it would be I just wanted something different and didn't know. I wanted something not so heavy and thick for all summer walking hiking

The boot was heavier than I expected but once you have them on they're not that bad. Also we're kind of tight..and hard but after wearing them for a couple days just walking around they've gotten much more comfortable... I'd recommend them

These shoes are very comfortable, and they seem sturdy and warm enough for a New England winter. I first ordered an 11 wide, my usual size, but the length wasn't quite enough. Merrell does not carry a 12 wide, so I ordered a size 12 regular, with hopes that they would be okay. Unfortunately, although the length was great, the shoes just felt snug. I had to return the shoes. Merrell, please consider making a women's 12 wide!

Was larger than expected
