I am so grateful that Merrell makes wide hiking boots. Couldn't find many other options out there. I also like that these boots are lightweight and didn't really require any breaking in. I can't speak to the waterproofness yet as I've only taken them out in very light rain (they were fine for that). But I'd recommend these immediately to anyone who can't squeeze their feet into regular width boots.

I say size it ran small but I already knew that so I was able to get the right size and they fit PERFECTLY! I usually wear a size 7.5 but I got an 8.
just went to Yellowstone didn't wear them prior and had no blisters. my feet stayed warm and comfortable. After all the hiking on dirt/snow/concrete still look like I never wore them. Definitely recommend.

I tried several different sizes and widths and styles in Merrell hiking boots, wearing each around the house for hours. I have so much trouble with shoes that seem like they fit but after a couple of hours my feet are killing me. Especially my little toes! This boot feels like it was made from a mold of my foot, and is made with soft yet supportive materials, and I can wear them for hours without any discomfort. A miracle, for me! There was not a lot of difference between the 8 M and the 8 Wide, but just enough to make the boot perfect for me. I'm in love, and will be buying more Merrells in the future. We are leaving in a couple of days for Alaska and I am so excited to have these great waterproof boots to take!

I have been very pleased with these boots! I used them right off the bat for walking around where I live, which consists of gravel, hilly roads, and had no issues whatsoever. I will be using them in a few weeks for a long trek, where I'll be walking many miles each day for 3 days, and I'm not worried about blisters because the boots have been so comfortable, no rubbing, since day 1. They were definitely a good purchase and I plan to buy another pair for my daughter.

Fantastic hiking boots! I've worn them around for a couple of days and love them. No break-in needed. I ordered a 7W and 7.5 B. The B width was fine for my somewhat wide feet with bunions. Wide was too wide.

I have probably put 100 miles on these boots on hiking trails around Colorado and expect to put on many more. These are by far the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They are actually the most comfortable pair of shoes I currently own. I usually have to have an insole to support my arch, but that's not necessary with these.

I particularly enjoy the flexibility and lightness of this hiking boot. It feels like a sneaker with more stability. The size was great. I have wide feet, and the wide width was the perfect fit. It's not clunky and looks great. Overall a great buy. Would recommend.

I like these boots. They’re sturdy, and offer good support. I’m new to hiking, and wanted a good boot so I wouldn’t get injured. These fit the bill! They are heavier than I anticipated as a first time hiker, that took some getting used to.

I needed a pair of new hiking boots after my old ones literally cracked. I've taken these out for a few hikes and they are as comfortable as they are sturdy, preventing a couple of rolled ankles already. Happy to continue my hikes with vibram soles and Merrell!

I ordered this boot and another popular brand. I need wide width and they were the only two wide width I could find online. Anyway there was no comparison. The Moab hugged my feet in all the right places. Clearly well constructed. I returned the other ones and kept these. Very pleased.

My husband got me these when we went to Ireland as we would be doing some light hiking and I found wearing these relieves pain that I normally get in my feet. So much so I find myself wearing them in the house when doing chores.

I took it out for the first time today to break it in. It's actually really comfortable. I didn't get any blisters or feel any discomfort. However, I'm still testing it out. I'm not sure how it's going to feel after a strenuous hike and being on my feet for long hours. But overall it's a pretty good hiking boot for the price.

The boots are well designed, good ankle support and firm sole. They were comfortable from the first wearing.

I have wide feet and it's hard to find shoes wide enough to be comfortable, ordered an 8 wide and I can wear them all day with no pain!

I had done two short hikes (2-3 miles) before hiking the Pin-Chin-Sky loop in Alabama, just to test them out and they felt great. After 17 miles of rocks, mud, and river crossings, not only did my feet stay dry and comfortable, but by the end of the hike my feet didn't even hurt when I took them off at home. Amazing boots, and very light compared to their pairs I've owned-I'll never go back to clunky, heavy boots I've always gotten before for durability. LOVE that Vibram sole too, could not recommend them more.

I love this boot. Feels great right out of the box. I walked 2 miles immediately and no break in needed . These are more comfortable than my walking shoes.

I was able to try these on in store in comparison to multiple other styles and brands. Fitting them side by side helped me see just how well these perfectly fit. There was no rubbing, slipping, smooshing, or bending. I knew I would be able to wear them immediately and not have to break them in at all. That weekend I completed a 7 mile hike with a 1400 ft descent crossing through creek beds, brush, sand, gravel, smooth terrain and solid rock. These were perfect in every scenario on both descent and ascent. I really put these shoes through the paces and I will never buy another brand of hiking boots ever again. In fact, I work in kitchens and now that I know Merrell makes works shoes, they will be my next purchase as well.

It is a challenge to find Women's footwear in a wide width. These shoes not only fit well, they are also light, durable and supportive.

I bought these boots to use for environmental field work throughout OH, PA and WV. I've only used them for a few weeks but they have exceeded all of my expectations. They are lightweight, comfortable and the waterproof works great.

I am usually a size 7.5 M in almost all my pairs. I ordered half a size bigger because the 7.5 felt constricted. Length might be perfect but I had to give some allowance in case my feet swell after a hike. I had a forming callus on my second toe from my previous (Columbia) pair. I would need to tape it so it would not be bothersome during a hike. This Merrell pair is comfortable that I don't have to do that anymore. The size 8 is a little long for my liking, but I'd rater have a little allowance than totally tight. I have flexible ankles and my feet felt secure in this pair. The traction is awesome. I used it to cross a river with slippery rocks and it was acceptable. After being completely submerged underwater, I continued to hike with no pain. I am not used to this kind of weight for a pair, but most likely is due to the sturdier construction. I cannot comment on the waterproof aspect because I completely submerged it underwater, which obviously made it soaking wet.
FYI I tried the low profile GTX model in 7.5 M and it felt stiffer so I opted for the waterproof one.
