They day after I got these, I went grocery shopping and decided it would be a good time to break them in, (before going out on a hike), since I wouldn't be out that long, (so I thought). As soon as I put them on they felt great and comfortable and fit great. I ended up being gone the whole day, so I spent over 9 hours in these boots and my feet never got sore one bit. Totally amazing for a brand new pair of boots. I absolutely love them. Now the test of time :)

I normally wear an 8.5 so ordered that size but they were too short. I tried the 9 & they were perfect! I got these because I'm recovering from a broken ankle & 2 surgeries to repair it. My foot & ankle have been aching so I wanted padding all around them. These feel wonderful. I find I can walk longer & feel more comfortable & stable in them. I also really like the way they look! Great color.

These are my second pair and continue to be my favorite.

I was looking for my first pair of hiking boots, as I tend to roll my ankles fairly often. A friend recommended these to me, so I gave them a go. Very comfortable out of the box, and I can't wait until they are fully broken in. I was a little skeptical, as I had read some customers still got wet feet in rain, but I'm pleased to say that I did not have that experience. I can't wait to use these on the trails in the coming months.

I hike rough terrain year round. I love my Merrells. I purchase a new pair every two years. I leave my old pair at camp and my new pair at home. I've been buying Merrells for hiking for the last 8 years. Love em

These fit great. First pair of hiking boots purchased and I love them! So comfortable.

Boot was delivered in very short time after ordering. It is comfortable & waterproof in the tall wet grass that I walk in. It looks good too.

I'm writing this review from Lavacolla, Spain, 6 miles outside of Santiago de Compostela. I'm writing because I feel so grateful that I purchased these boots. I've walked nearly 120 kilometers in one week on the Camino de Santiago, with no training and without breaking in my boots. I feel like I'm one of the only hikers without blisters. I can't say enough about he quality of these boots. Highly recommend! Will buy Merrell in the future. Buen Camino!

Great fit with no issues. Super comfortable even on day two of wearing them after doing 9 km hike. Confirmed (not by choice) twice that your feet stay dry going through both mud and water. Still look great even after mud. Highly recommend.

This is the second pair I've purchased! I'm a long distance hiker with small but very wide feet so have a hard time finding comfortable hiking boots. Loved them so much I bought this second pair. My only negative comment is that I found the arch too high for my foot but that was easily fixed by replacing the insole with a generic one. Arch is probably fine for most people. Wore them on a 30km hike shortly after purchase, no blisters, no breaking in period needed.

This boot met all of the criteria I was searching for. Flexible, wide enough to be comfortable, ankle support, great looks. I am amazed at the amount of grip they provide. Love the slate color! I am doing my first big hike on Mount Witney this summer. Had to find the right pair of hiking boots for the trek. I first purchased a pair of The North Face hiking shoes and had an issue with the right shoe rubbing on my pinkie knuckle, causing soreness and pain. I normally wear regular width shoes, but thought maybe I needed to wear a wide width in hiking shoes to avoid the rubbing pain on my right foot. So I purchased these and they are the ones! They were comfortable the second I tried them on and I didn't get the rubbing pain and irritation on my right foot. When I tried on The North Face pair, they were uncomfortable the very second I put them on. Got better with time and wear, but I don't want to take a chance for such a big hike as Whitney. I was worried that the wide width would be loose around my ankles being that I don't normally wear a wide width, but these are snug and secure and feel like they are hugging my ankles and feet. I can feel amazing arch support, and my toes are free to wiggle without any slippage or forward movement in the shoe. I guess best description is that they feel like a very secure and comfortable seatbelt around my feet. I feel highly confident that these hiking shoes will support my feet and keep me comfortable for the long Whitney trek. I definitely recommend!

These boots are so well made, so comfortable, and so lightweight; good-looking, too! I wish I had ordered them earlier! Highly recommended.

My favorite hiking boots have always been Merrill but I had not purchased new ones in several years. Just moved back to Colorado and ordered the women's Moab 2 mid waterproof. They are lightweight, comfortable and stylish. Very happy!

I will be hiking in New Zealand and wanted to get new boots. My husband has a pair of Merrells and really likes them. I am still breaking them in and have only done 5 short hikes, but they are very comfortable and offer good support. I am very pleased with this purchase.

These boots have saved me from so many ankle injuries on steep hills! Great grip, super comfy, and so cute!
