I am a huge fan of another brand of shoes which are the ones I only buy. But I loved the look of these hikers, when I tried them on I was so impressed. I work in a warehouse and these were wonderful. Not to heavy and so comfortable I can wear them all day. Now I need newer ones and I am not even going to try others.

I love the shoes. They are very, very comfortable and will be excellent for hiking and snowshoeing.

Very comfortable. I climbed a 4000-footer in New England in difficult conditions with them pretty much right out of the box. They fit well. I highly recommend.

These boots were comfortable the first time I put them on. I have been on two or three trail hikes with them and have no complaints.

I bought these boots almost a year ago and have taken them on several technical day hikes. This past weekend I went on a much longer technical hike that took me through some ankle high water and my feet stayed dry! I was extremely pleased not only by the ability to keep out water, but they were comfortable as well. I did not have any pinch calluses form although I did have a coupe of sore toenails after (this always happens to me :) )

Got these hiking shoes for a trip to Alaska. They are SO comfortable from right out of the box. Walked miles in the first wearing and had great grip. Would 100% buy again.

Happy I have Merrill shoes while traversing Peru! Our last hike was in this Rainbow Mountain at 17000ft, our lungs just did fine but my feet feels great after 18 days of walk/hiking!

I got the birthday edition of these boots because I honestly thought they looked really cool and unique, and I thought they would be a great boot for my morning city walks. I have somewhat wide feet (or at least feet that swell a lot) and suffer from plantar fasciitis.
The birthday color wasn't available in wide and I didn't want to risk getting the sizing wrong by ordering men's boots, so I tried the 10.5 regular (I'm typically a 10 in women's shoes) and they feel like they were made for my feet when paired with a nice thick hiking sock. Not only have I used them on my morning city walks with NO foot pain, but I've also put some hiking miles on them and they have excellent traction and support for varied terrains (again, no foot pain or blisters with thick socks/leukotape). No exaggeration, these might be some of the most comfortable and functional shoes I've ever worn, and they look great "to boot"!

After some research, I purchased these in a wide width over a month ago and they definitely live up to the hype. I have wide feet and also needed ankle support and these live up to both needs. They were immediately comfortable right out of the box. I wore these for some moderate hikes in Colorado and they performed well on any trail conditions we encountered. I am really impressed with this boots and look forward to using them on the trails. I wear 9.5 and purchased that size in wide, and had no problems with the fit using them with standard hiking socks.

I bought the low-top Moab 2s and wore them all around Iceland on a 10-day trip. They were super comfortable snd kept my feet warm and dry. Out of the box these high top Moab 2’s fit similarly. The sizing is the same snd so is the quality. I love them!

When they say they are waterproof they mean it! My hydration bladder accidentally leaked all night, filling my left boot completely. I thought my day of hiking was ruined. Poured out the water which filled the boot to the top and used a low energy lodge hair dryer for 20 targeted minutes inside the boot and they were good to go. Comfortable and dry day of hiking in Glacier National Park. I am sooo grateful for these boots.

I've had my boots for a few years now and they've been great. My husband hiked Mt. Whitney with his and loves them too! But we JUST hiked The Narrows at Zion while wearing our kids in hike backpacks. One kid is 45+lbs and the baby is 25+lbs, we only did 6 miles of the 9.5 since we were carrying all of that weight but the boots did great! My feet feel totally fine today, no sores, no blisters and they were wet for 5 hrs climbing through rivers covered in rocks. I should also point out I never slipped or fell in the water. We highly recommend and I'm addicted! Ready for another pair since my feet grew after pregnancy.

I have some foot issues and have a tough time finding a good fitting boot. After trying on many styles and brands, I found the Moab 2 waterproof the perfect fit. I was able to put on some miles on the trails right out of the box. It has a stiffer sole and snugger cushioned fit than the Ventilator, which I own but find too loose to hike very far in. Great support for all terrains. Wish I'd found them first!

These are great boots. They have been reviewed in sports publications as the low-end women's hiking shoe, but I've worn my old pair for seven years on hikes up to nine miles, on rocks, streambeds and just on dirt trails, and I've had no problems. But they run very small. Even though I am usually 7.5 - 8, I needed an 8.5 (and had to return the pair I ordered from Zappos), certainly to wear an inner sock and a heavier wool sock, but even to wear just a thin inner sock. As for style, they come in many colors, so how can you go wrong?

I needed boots that work for year-round fieldwork as well as hiking, and it has always been difficult for me to find boots that are wide, comfortable, and have enough arch and ankle support. I took these straight out of the box onto a 6 mile hike on a rocky, rooty, mountain trial. These required zero breaking in, gave me incredible ankle support, and the traction was awesome on the trail. I finished the hike with no rubbing or blisters, and my feet feeling fine! I ordered half a size up to accommodate thicker socks and it was perfect.

Merrell Moab 2 Mid Waterproof is a great shoes. Very comfortable, no break in period. The wide width is just right, not too wide.
Zappos makes it very easy to shop, order, return with great customer services.

I purchased these in order to hike Mount Tallac. I did break them in on some short walks before hiking the 10miles and 3000 ft elevation gain. We went on a day that it was 93 degrees in the Lake Tahoe region. These were very comfortable and my feet did not feel over heated while we transverse the granite. Great boots.

I bought these boots in March for a hiking trip. I had recently had a flare up of plantar fasciitis, so most shoes hurt my feet. I tried these on at the end of the day when my feet were tired and sore, they felt GREAT! The arch support was just what I needed, and the contoured footbed was awesome for my heel. Planning on racking up some serious miles in these pain free!
