I bought these at the beginning of the pandemic when I had to leave the gym. Ive walked and hiked over 1500 miles on them and they are over and above my favorite trekking shoe/boot. Im buying them again and will continue to do so as long as they make them

This is my 3rd or 4th pair of Merrells, 2 have been low hikers and 2 mid hikers. When you get the right one, they are fantastic and don't need to be broken in. I also tried this same boot in the GTX (gore-tex) version. The right boot was just a tiny bit too short.

I am not much of a hiker but my dog and I do walk a lot in the winter when the temps are tolerable. I have a great pair of leather boots that I've been wearing the last couple of years but don't want to wear them out. I need something that is warm, waterproof, and non-slip. So order a few different pairs of snow boots yet none of them felt up to the job. So decided to try these - as well as the same style without the hightops. Turned out the latter wasn't nearly as comfortable. These in granite, 10 W fit like a glove even with a heavier sock and are extremely comfortable! It was very cold walking on the beach of the southern shores of Lake Michigan today and the boots were perfect!!

THE MOAB 2 WATERPROOF MED WIDTH IS PERFECT SO COMFORTABLE. I USUALLY WEAR A SIZE 8 1/2 BUT AFTER READING SOME REVIEWS I SIZED UP TO 1/2 SIZE, SO I COULD WEAR HEAVIER SOCKS. THEY DON'T LOOK BIG, ARE CUTE FOR ANYTHING YOU ARE DOING NOT JUST HIKING OR TRAILS.

I’ve worn this model for years. This replaces my old - several years old and many many miles covered- Moabs. They continue to be the best fir for my feet.

I received my Moab 2 boots this week. I have been wearing Vasque boots for years but their quality has declined. My husband has worn Merrell for many years, so I decided to try them. I have a wide foot, so I ordered wide boots. They are extremely comfortable and I love them . Thank you!

Very comfortable, good quality, just the right amount of ankle support. I have some knee issues and it's difficult to find a shoe that doesn't make it worse. Also, I have never found a hiking shoe that didn't hurt my ankles after more than an hour of hiking. Truth is I had given up on ever finding a hiking shoe/boot that didn't contribute to at least some pain after an hour+ of hiking. I followed my husband up and down mountains (elk hunting) for three+ hours for four days this falland I had no pain! I wasn't in great hiking-shape at the time so it was quite surprising to have NO pain at all. The ankle support is enough that the boots go over your ankles and will keep it from rolling, but with a nice squishy padding that it doesn't cause soreness from too much pressure on the ankle. I bought a pair for my mom as well and she said "these are the most comfortable boots I have, I wear them in the snow (Billings, MT) and my feet never get wet!" I am a 9 and have narrow feet, and my mother is a 10 and has wide feet, these boots fit both our feet perfectly. True to size. I highly recommend these shoes!!! Portland, OR

Comfortable right away and waterproof! I can go "through the middle" of all the mud with these. They are also quite warm.

The Moab 2 is a very comfortable hiking shoe. I would call them water resistant instead of waterproof. They are great in moist humid environments. I wear them for everything but love them on a hike

I love my Merrell's. It is a rare shoe that I can take out of the box and wear right away on a hard hike. I usually buy the waterproof shoes, not for actual water, but rather for sand. I hike in lots of sandy washes and waterproof=sandproof too!:)

Loved these shoes - not only are they actually super cute but I took them to Utah for some Fall hiking (and through a literal water trail) and felt super comfortable the whole time.

Got these for a 2-week hiking trip through Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California. Footbed didn't require any break in, but I did notice the ankle support soften and mold to my ankle after the first few days which made these even more comfortable. These will probably hold up in the rain okay but they are not waterproof if you step into a big puddle. Fantastic shoes, I would recommend and buy again in the future (though they also seem quite durable).
