Ordered this in a wide, but it isn't as wide as the Bondi or Arahi. Toes have decent room to move, but the shoe narrows down too quickly and puts pressure on the forefoot. Love the material's elasticity and the tongue that doesn't slip. Unfortunately my forefoot pain means I have to return these.

Got these shoes in a wide width to accommodate my orthotics that I have to wear for pronated arches. I have also had a double bunionectomy so like that there is no rubbing where I had surgery. Just wish the shoe had a wider foot bed and was not so tight. Like that there is no breaking in period, just put them on and wear them.

Hard cushion. For me, good for walking or run for short distance not for long distance.

These shoes in the pink neon are great looking, and just what I wanted. However, they were too short and I had to return. I recommend ordering at least one half size up, a whole size up if you wear athletic socks The footbed is cushy and comfortable.

The shoe fit well and was comfortable however, the shoe itself is very large. The outside sole width was nearly an inch wider than my pair of NB.

I almost always wear an 8 in everything and only rarely have to size up 1/2 size which I did based on some of the other reviews and that was still not enough. I've never had an 8.5 too small but these were. So disappointed and I returned them. Other than that, they felt great.

I have a very painful big toe joint on my right foot, and prone to twisting my ankle due to incorrect rolling through my foot. These shoes are very stable, that is exactly what I needed! But due to that they are very wide, so it take a bit of getting used to. Also, I was disappointed that they are not the color that is shown on the website. The body of the shoe is a dull, washed out version of the color shown, so the only bright accents are on the sole of the shoe and the laces.

Not a fan. They are way too wide for my foot and had an odd curve making my ankle feel like it was going to turn in. I like the Clifton 4 better and normally wear Nikes. Definitely run a half size large.

I've been using these for running around 4 miles a day on a treadmill. I purchased them to help alleviate knee pain. They are pretty comfortable and shock absorbing.

I could walk or stand all day in these. They are very cushy. If you want stability, it might not be the shoe for you. I bought these because I wanted new shoes to work on correcting my stride. Super comfy but I do find myself thinking about my gait constantly in these. As they are cushy, when my foot lands I have to focus on keeping my leg in line and not rock side to side too much. Very solid shoe though.

This was my first pair of this brand of HOKAs. I have the Clifton 4 which is a great running shoe for a neutral runner. So I went back to Clifton 4 for me.

I use these shoes for running on pavement and in the park. My brother and running friend have been on me about getting a pair forever. I've only had them a couple of werks, but so far so good. I bought them for joint support. I have a bad ankle and the rest of my joints have to compensate.

Really did like these, ordered 1/2 size up, as suggested by other reviews but were too big. Style was cute, but looking for more arch support due to self diagnosed plantar fasciitis.

I use this product for weekly running. I like the great support and fit of the shoe....color and style. For me I would like more air flow in the shoe because my feet were over heated on longer runs.

Even though I loved the product I couldn't buy it-in men or women size- and I tried them both. There are some of us out there with not just the need for a wider shoe, but also a need for a shoe that has enough height inside the shoe to add a custom orthotic insert to a cushion that offers no arch support as the orthodic is our arch support. There's plenty of us out there and our feet are screaming for someone to make a perfect shoe-the Hero! And except for the inability to add that extra layer in the shoe, your shoes would have been true winners!

These are comfortable but I miss the harder cushioning the Bondi 4's had to offer. I found the Bondi 5 to be too soft and wanted more spring off the ground. Love the look of the new Gaviota and their stability.

The back feels a little high, so I have been using a heel pad. Also width good but some pressure over instep.relaced, skipping next to bottom grommets. I've done this with other brands, and still feels comfy even if laced tightly

Very good shoes, I'm into my second pair. I wish the outer heel was a bit stronger, mine hit there first and wear out before the rest of the shoe. But, overall, really great for me at 15+ miles a week at age 50.

After leaving my Asics Kayano 21 (size 8.5 wide) in a hotel room while on vacation, I needed a quick replacement. I require shoes with at least moderate stability, and like a soft, cushioned feel. I tried on the Hoka Arahi, Kayano 23, brooks transcend 4 and Saucony Hurricane ISO 3 at a running store- and decided to take a risk and order the Gaviota (size 8.5). The Gaviota offered more stability than the Arahi, and I also much preferred the look. However, after 3 weeks of walking/gym use the top of the sock lining on both shoes are fraying/splitting! Considering the price, I am quite disappointed with the durability thus far. That aside, I love the cushioning and support the shoe offers, as well as the width- which is perfect for my borderline wide and flat feet.
