Great fell under foot. This shoe does not feel like the typical stability shoe. The feel is natural under foot with good transition heel to toe. Good toe box width and stable in the heel. Tongue is notched which creates rubbing (like the Clifton tongue better) and some of the overlays on the upper rib at times. Would really like to see the tongue changed otherwise solid shoe.

Love this shoe! I previously bought the Infinite which I liked except they are so bulky. This one has all the cushion and stability but much lighter and smaller. Very pleased.

I have the Hoka One One hiking Tor Summit low and mid ankle both in size 8.5. Ordered these in 8.5 and they were too small. I would need to order in a 9 if I was impressed with both their cushion, support and pronation claims. Which I was not. They are nice looking shoes though.

The only thing I do not like about Ga iota compared to her bigger sister Conquest (which I love) is the wider outsole platform ... it's a bit clunky and makes me feel like a duck. I understand the stability purposes but conquest is also stable without the wide outsoke! Other than that ... great shoe for comfy long miles! Super awesome elastic lacing and great colors!

I don't know if they have to be broke in yet or not, but they feel stiff and hard. They have helped my foot pain some.

Great support, but as I realized later with a pair I kept, these shoes run large. I would recommend going down a half size. I also usually get wide width, which in this case was too wide. Returned these. Not very pretty, but I see why people love them to run.
I'd also recommend:

I was hoping to find the equivalent of the Constant and I was disappointed. The tread wears fast and the cushioning is terrible! They were only good for short runs but once I got over 8 miles my toes and balls of my feet would hurt! PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK THE CONSTANT!! Or a stability shoe with way more cushion.

I have been wearing Hokas for several years. The first pair of Gaviotas were fine, as were the pair I bought in a men's size. But I'm just not happy with the Gaviota 2. I'm thrilled that it comes in a wide width, but the stability of this model is not as good as earlier versions (and I wish the Constant, which the Gaviota replaced, I believe, was still part of the Hoka line!) and seems to hit lower on the side of the foot than the earlier version. I have bones fused and surgically reconstructed arches in both feet and wear orthotics, but it's just not enough in this shoe. I might try the men's model. Right now I'm using the Hoka Tor WP and am content, but I want something with forefoot flexibility. I am not sure that the quality of the Hoka brand is as good as it used to be.

I really wanted to love this shoe! I've been wearing the Arahi for several months & love it. I put these on & thought they felt great, but after about 30 min. walking around in them, the bunion on my left foot was aching. So I waited a couple of days & did the same thing with the same results. So sadly, I had to return. It kind of doesn't make sense to me - if you look at the Arahi, the Gaviota looks wider. I've also worn the Clifton & their hiking boots & love them.
I'd also recommend:
Hoke One One - I've loved every other shoe of theirs!

Because of the reviews that I've read, I ordered the Hoka One Gaviota.
I feel that the shoe does not have enough arch support, it's tight around the toes and ankle. I wore it at work for a 12-hour shift and I developed a blister on top of my Left Great Toe.
I am returning and will not buy this particular shoe.
Thank you.

I really wanted to love them. And I did LOVE all the cushion. I need a stability shoe for pronation and this seemed like the right option, however after wearing for 30-40 minutes on a walk/run I noticed the balls of my feet were numb. I made some lacing adjustments and it still happened. After 2 weeks of trying to make them work I gave up and sent them back. Disappointed that it didn't work out.

The fit was great! I’m an overpronator. This shoe did exactly what it said it would and stabilized my foot but my feet would hurt. The cushion is not great as the Bondi (I knew it wouldn’t be) I couldn’t run more than 2 miles before I had to stop from the pain. The colors and style are the best compared to the Bondi. If I had more time and patience, I’m sure I would have adjusted fine and I would have loved the shoe.

These are okay, but definitely not perfect. Wish they were. For me, they need more cushioning like the old Arahi's. This was the closest I could find, but there aren't many choices in wides and very few stable fits. My feet do hurt, not while walking, but after I sit down. In the original Arahi's that didn't happen, at all.

I love the look but unfortunately this model of Hoka is too shallow for my orthotic insert. I used to wear their Constant model because it had a deep toe box with lots of room. But they discontinued it. Too bad - I love Hokas and they came highly recommended by my Pediatrist after Morton’s Neuroma surgery.

I would have liked them better if what I ordered I would have received. The picture on the box is correct but what was in the box was not the same shoe. I needed them right then or I would have returned them and hopefully next time I would have got what I ordered. I think someone put last years model of these in the box at the very least they should have been cheaper since they were not this years model of shoe

I use these shoes for walking and they are very comfortable but seem a little unstable. I have a narrow flat foot and they fit fine, was concerned they may ve too wide. Would like a little more cushion and stability. Need suggestions. Zappis

These felt huge on my feet and looked huge. They were very supportive and felt stable, but ultimately were just too big for my feet so I returned.

I recently had surgery on my toe and have some heel pain. Was looking for something I could stand in all day (for my job) and that I could walk in. This style seemed really comfortable and well padded when I first put them on. After a while I realized that they seem to make me rock back onto my heel, which aggravated my pain. I also live in a hot/humid part of the country, and they just didn't breathe, they were really hot and heavy. Noticed other styles that might work better for me, but not available.

Pretty comfy shoe. My first impression we're that mid way on the show the width gets a bit too narrow for comfort. I believe it has something to do with the stability features. Overall I gave three stars for the narrowing and for lack of stock. There were many color options but only one or two had very many sizes available.

Although the shoe is very comfortable, I am returning it due to the look. My size 10 feet already look huge but this shoe looks GIGANTIC! Disappointed because it really is comfortable.

it looked good, but the toe box was too wide and it just wasn't a great fit for me. Trying another shoe from hoka now. i have a narrow foot and need a straight last with stable stance. have loved previous shoes from hoka and will keep trying.

I have worn these super-comfortable shoes for about 5 months and feel I should share that while they are perfect for fast walking, the soles are worn down below the tread in many areas. For the price I expected a longer life. Still, they are nice and wide and cushiony, but I think I won't buy them again because of the wear. Usually buy Brooks that last for ~500 miles in a year.

I ordered the regular width women's Gaviota and found it too narrow. I returned it and asked for a wide width to replace it, but they didn't have any. I need a stability shoe so no Hoka for me.
