The shoe felt true to size but as soon as I tried to walk in them, I knew I would have to return them. I have RA, bunions, and a hammertoe and I felt like I was walking on little pebbles.

The last version of the GT-2000 that I've been running in is version 2. It was time to replace these trail shoes, so I ordered both version 5 and version 6 to see which felt better. Version 5 is terrible! The collar is too stiff and padded, and pushes uncomfortably all around the ankle no matter how loosely the shoe is tied. Also, the footbed feels strangely lumpy to stand and run on. After several laps around my living room I knew this shoe was a no-go. I was nervous to try on version 6, thinking I'd end up having to switch running shoe styles which is something I hate. Luckily, version 6 fits and feels great! Very comfortable and supportive, similar to version 2.

I really liked how the shoe looked, but was too small. I sent it back for a half size larger, but that also was too small. Went with a different brand.

I've worn Asics for years but the updated styles are not comfortable and do not wear as well as previous styles. This style felt very small in the toe area even though I purchased a half size larger than I usually do. I was fitted recently by my local running store, and they suggested that I change to Mizunos. I have purchased several pairs both through them and Zappos and LOVE them. As a loyal Asics customer for the past 6 years, it was sad to move on, but unfortunately the quality just hasn't been the same.

In the past, I've always had great luck with Asics. This pair - same size as all my previous purchases with Asics - was so tight I could barely get my foot into the toe box, and once I squeezed them on they were super tight and my toes were crushed up against the front of the shoe. I'm super bummed. It's so nice when you find a brand and size that work, and such a disappointment when the brand changes things around on you so that you have to start on square one. I was unable to walk in the pair I bought, so I can't say this with confidence, but they seem flimsier and less supportive than previous Asics I've bought. Also - the color choices don't suit me, but I guess bright neon is in style these days. I always want subdued colors that can 'go' with casual outfits as well as athletic ones.

I'm so disappointed in the GT-2000 5's. The GT-2000 has been my go-to running shoe for a few years now. But these 2000 5's have been trouble from the start. They are giving me blisters on my toes and I've been experiencing some new pains in my forefeet since I've started wearing them. I've tried loosening the laces and started putting vaseline on my feet before each run but I'm still having trouble. Ended up developing a large blister under my big toe during a hilly half marathon yesterday (even with the vaseline) so that's it for these 2000 5's. I'm going to return the second pair I bought, which are still in the box. Note to self, don't buy a second pair, even if it's a great price, UNTIL you've wear tested the first pair. I agree with an earlier reviewer...WHY do they have to change the shoe's design every year? :(

Very disappointed. I have been wearing Asics brand for several years and have always been happy with my purchases. However, the last few I have ordered have been returned. Seems that the shoe runs smaller. I have tried several models and have had the same disappointing results. It is hard enough to find shoes when you wear a size 12-12 1/2....I thought Asics was it for me!! Again I say, very disappointed. Should have trusted the reviews I read prior to ordering!!!

Love the color and style. Would be comfortable but even ordering a size bigger, still way too small.

I normally wear a size 9, my toes were smashed so returned for 9.5. Feet feel better in them except now the arch hits my foot weird and is uncomfortable, not to mention rubs and squeaks every time I walk. And I have to lace them up to the very very top or they slide up and down on my heel then I can barely tie the laces.....would not get these again.

I have been an Asics lover for 20+ years. I used to buy Kayano's religiously. I am a nurse, on my feet all day, even had a second pair for workouts! But Asics have changed! I have tried buying a size or 2 larger, wider, nothing has worked for me. I bought these hoping a different style would fit better. Again, sized smaller, and the toe box narrowed. I thought the GT-2000 would have been a better choice based on reviews, but I'm still disappointed in Asics. They've cheapened out! Now they've lost 2 more customers.

I am so disappointed in ASICS. These have always been my go to shoe. They no longer fit! The sizing is off of what it has been in the past. These run short and the toe box is narrow. I may as well buy Nike for that issue. These are going back.

Short in the toe box. Very uncomfortable. Disappointed. Have many pairs of Asics and have loved them.

So disappointed. I wanted to keep this shoe; I have worn Asics for 20 years. The toe box finally fit in this huge size, but the padding underneath was too thin and the shoe felt flimsy. I hope Asics reads these reviews and brings back the quality and wider toe box.

I wear a women's size 5 shoe normally. However, I wear custom orthotics and therefore, size up to a 6 when buying tennis shoes so that my orthotics fit comfortably. (I'm 5' 2", 120 lbs, petite frame) CONS: This shoe runs so small that my orthotics would not fit. Even without my orthotic, the toe box was so short and narrow, my toes hit the top of the shoes. PROS: There is a lot of cushion in the heel and the bright pink and orange is so, so cute! Size up and consider wide width!

I was disappointed in how this shoe fit. I have worn Asics ( and loved them) for years. I wear a 7.5 M and they have always fit the same way. These were very small and the arch in the left shoe was way forward and impinged one the ball of my foot. Very disappointing.

Nice looking shoes, but the ten was too short on my left foot and the 10.5 was too big on my right

Based on other reviews I opted to order 2 sizes (8.5 and 9) hoping one would fit. They both seemed to run small and narrow. Ordered wide in both, and neither size seemed the appropriate width. Will be returning both, and continue to hunt for something that fits. They were cute though, but also quite stiff compared to what I'm accustomed to getting from Zappos.

not true to size, cause pronation. shoes are super cute. I bought them to replace previous models, which fit wonderfully. These are supposed to be wide width, but they are cramped, and also they are too squishy on the inside and cause me to pronate. Sending back.

Cute shoes, pretty colors, but RUNS REALLY SMALL. The The double-wide size is wide in the ball of the foot but the toe is very tapered so the outside toes are cramped. The shoes also run small. No wonder they are on sale. These are not "keepers".

Loyal Asics wearer but these are terribly uncomfortable. They have this leather upper around the laces that rubs right into the crease where my big toe meets my foot. Unfortunately since I've already worn them I am out of luck and can't return them?

As per recommendations, I ordered a full size up and the fit was perfect. Unfortunately I found them to be incredibly uncomfortable. It felt like there is no cushioning in them, the arch was in a funny place and made my foot cramp after wearing for a while. They also rode very high on my heel and rubbed my achilles. After wearing these while walking for a couple miles, my knees and hips hurt terribly. It felt like they didn't offer the stability needed (even though these are supposed to be for pronators) and without any cushioning, my feet grew tired quickly. I've worn Asics for years and they always fit and felt great, but these really missed the mark. I gave them my best shot but after a month of discomfort, I gave up and bought different shoes.

I've worn Asics for over 10 years and I've never experienced a terrible shoe from them - until now. I typically wear an 8.5 M in athletic shoes. I've had 3 pair of Asics GT-1000's in the past and they were incredibly comfortable and durable. I was shocked that the GT-2000's insole was so hard, they fit a 1/2 size short and the tongue is oddly short. I'm currently wearing the awesome Cumulus 17's and it seems the quality has fallen off with the latest model 19, according to reviews. Come on, Asics!

Way too small. I purchased my normal 8.5 and it was too small, so I returned it for a size 9 and the 9 was too small. Not sure if I want to go a 3rd round and order a 9.5 which will be a whole size larger but may end up being too small as well.

I’ve many pairs of ASICS GT-2000 because they were thee only shoes that wouldn’t irritate my plantar fasciitis. I don’t know what changed. After only 3 months, these shoes felt broken down and my feet ached every time I wore them to the gym or out and about. Thankfully Zappos has a great return policy. I’m going to have to go to the local running store to find something new.
