I have been wearing Asics for years and have been very disappointed the last two years as the quality is lacking. The trim is sparse and the fabric is very poor. Asics you better wake up and improve. The old is much better than the new. I keep hoping for something better but no luck with Asics anymore. Have to return.

I have been wearing the GT 2000 since it came out. This is the shortest, narrowest it has been. I went up a half a size like others suggested, but still need to go up another half a size. I have an average to narrow foot, and my length has not changed. I'd like it if Asics would keep their sizes consistent. I'm giving 5 stars for comfort because I know they will be when I get the right size. Thank you Zappos for easy ordering, fast shipping, and easy, free returns.

I've been purchasing Asics running shoes for YEARS...probably decades. Size 8 regular always fits me perfectly. Size 8 in these were tight and uncomfortable. Back they go...really hoping this is true only for this particular model, and not all Asics now.

These shoes run at least 1/2 size too small, just like the previous GT 2000 4 I owned. The only difference being, this new one seems to have a shallower toe box as it now squashes my nails (esp the big toe nail). It also feels a bit more loose in the heel areas as I find my heels slipping in them, even with the lace lock method of tying. Everything else about it is the same as last years model. Unfortunately because of the issues I listed, I still prefer the previous version to this one.

I WISH I WOULD HAVE PAID ATTENTION TO THE OTHER REVIEWS OF THIS SHOE. IT RUNS EXTREMELY SMALL AND VERY NARROW!! I WONDER IF THE SHOE COMPANIES HAVE TROUBLE MAKING SHOES THE CORRECT SIZE. TRULY A DISAPPOINTMENT!!

Love ASICS never had any problems with the sizing before I’m returning it I guess it’s back to Brooks and new balance

These were so narrow I could not get my foot into them. I have had Asics before and this was not a problem

Love the style, but unfortunately just didn't fit. Due to the reviews on running small, I ordered both the 8.5 and 9 (the latter I've never worn in any shoe in my life) and still the shoe was too snug. I ordered the EE, which was barely wide enough. I have an older Ascics in 8M that fits beautifully, but is wearing out and I'm trying to find a replacement. I'm sad that I had to return both.

I have been running with Asics shoes for many years. I bought one pair of GT 2000-5 back in Feb. However, the left shoe has been giving me blisters in my ankle area during past few months. I thought I could break the new shoes, but the blisters just keep coming back.

I used to love ACIS but I think I will have to find another brand. I don't order these very often and by the time I need another pair they make too many changes and I don't like them. I do love Zappos!

This is the first time purchasing ASICS after hearing what awesome, well-built and durable shoes they are. I purchased a 1/2 size larger than normal because they fit a bit smaller than normal. I don't know if I got a defective pair, but the cushioning in the shoes squeak very loud with every single step. I was also very disappointed with the quality. After only a few months of wear and moderate use, the inside lining on the heel has worn holes through. I have since read other reviews regarding declining quality in materials and I hope it's not becoming a rule rather than the exception. I will try another pair.

I have always loved asics for working out. I bought these and they're very comfortable, but they tore up/wore out very easily. Mine did the same thing another reviewers did - the heel had a hole in it quickly, probably within about 2 months, which rubbed badly. The sole started peeling off after about a month. I can normally get at least 5 months out of a pair of tennis shoes, but I had to buy a new pair after about 2 months. Very disappointed.

The fit was fine. However, they were extremely stiff around the ankle. Very uncomfortable to walk in around my home. I have awful feet, so it is probably because of that. Unfortunately, I will be returning these. Toe box was not very roomy either.

I'm really sad. I've been loyal Asics GT-2000 customer for over 10 years and I will not be purchasing the GT-2000 again. The last time I purchased I had to go up an additional half size beyond what my "during exercise' shoe size is that they never did feel right. I tried again with these and a few other colors of the GT-2000 6 and they were all tight. Really tight. The toe box was tight and both length and width felt tight. it's too bad. The GT-2000 were my go to and now I have to find a new one.

This was a very comfortable shoe right out of the box. I wear orthotics, and it works well with those. I’ve been wearing ASICS for several years and have been happy, but the quality of materials in this shoe are a disappointment. I’m not even a runner, just a walker, and they’re worn out in three months. The soles are worn down, and the liner is torn apart. I won’t buy these again.

Okay, I have ordered 1/2 size up from my normal shoe size in ASICS for a number of years and always had a great fit. This time around, I ordered 2 different models of ASICS. The Gel-Excite 4 pair fit just right as always, but these had my toes jammed up inside the toe. I'd read the other reviews about ordering up, and thought, "Yeah, I already know that." But the sizing is WAY off in these. I couldn't judge the arch support and width because I was too preoccupied with my smooshed toes.
