I did a lot of research for a shoe box that flexes for bunions and a sole that supports over-pronation. This shoe is Uh-MAZing! From the minute I put it on, it was comfortable and supportive, and such a great color combo (pink and navy). I have gone for two runs without my chiropractic inserts that were needed in my old shoes, and my feet felt great the whole time. I wear an 8.5 in street shoes, but I always order running shoes a full size up to give room for the toe push when running. I ordered a 9.5 in these, and they fit perfect with toe room to spare.

I have worn the Asics GT 2000 series forever (including the predecessor series). I hated last years 2000 4 shoe as it was 1/2 size too small and it felt like I was walking on rocks. I sent those shoes to Goodwill and scoured the internet for the remaining 2000 3's in an 8 narrow. I'm thrilled to say that I love, love, love this year's GT 2000 5 shoe. The comfort and support of previous models are back. The only drawback is that the sizing is still a bit off and I'm in an 8.5 this year again instead of the normal 8. I do wish that they would offer all color options in the narrow sizing!!

13W...tough to find. Love the wide toe box! Working 12 hr shifts and don't even think about my feet!

Love the style, but disappointed I can't keep these. Not wide enough, not even close. Ordered the widest.

Nice looking shoe; not bulky. Arch support felt strong, but shoe runs small: my toe was right against the edge.

Anyone else feel like Asics are shrinking? These have been my go-to running shoes for years and I've tried other brands and always come back to Asics. I've always been a size 8 wide but my last pair of Asics felt a little tight so I ended up exchanging them for the 8.5, and now almost a year later I just ordered these in the 8.5 wide and they're feeling a little snug! Not enough for me to order another half size up, but still noticeable. Overall, a quality running sneaker that meets my needs, (and I have yet to find a better replacement) but disappointing that the shoes are getting smaller while the prices keep going up.

Bought these shoes for my Mom as a Christmas gift. They seemed to have changed the GT-2000 sizing slightly from the past few years. Had to bump up half a size. Overall a great comfortable shoe for running.

Very disappointed. I have bought gt-2000s for years. Usually I can get at least 6 months out of them, wearing them every day for working in a preschool. I bought these in October. From the start, they did not seem to have as much cushioning around the heel, where I need it due to my narrow heel. The shoes did not feel like they had as much cushioning on the bottom as well. I have compared the 5s to my 4s (of which I had gone through two pairs.) These are over 6 months old. They have more cushioning left in the heel. The "new" ones have worn through at the back of the heel and the stuffing is coming out. I have NEVER had that happen before.

I ordered two pairs one in a size up and one in half a size up and although they were so close, the 1/2 size up was all I needed to get the most comfortable pair of sneakers I have ever owned. It feels like I am walking on marshmallows. The quality of the show is awesome and the colors are ideal. I have big feet and finding comfortable yet feminine looking sneakers in a size 12, is always a torturous task. These are my first pair of Asics and I will definitely be getting another pair the next time I need shoes again!

Good fit as usual, but I agree with another reviewer that this year's model runs 1/2 size small.

I really like Asics shoes. They are comfy when I wear them unlike most other brands. I ordered this shoe in regular width since my last shoes were wide and they moved around too much for me. The arch support is OK, but I have high arches so most shoes are lacking in this area. I am very happy with these shoes.

Had to return because I found them to be too tight and stiff. I love my Contend 2 because they fit my feet perfectly from Day 1. I have not been able to find a replacement for them.

I was pretty much happy with them, after it took awhile to break them in. Then about 6 months later both started tearing on the back of the ankle area and now I get blisters. I always wear the with socks.

Just a little small. Need to exchange for a size up.. I am ALWAYS a size 7 and sometimes a 6 1/2 but my toe is up against the top edge so I need to try a 7 1/2.

This shoe runs smaller than other Asics I have owned. I wear this brand for work as I am on my feet 8 to 12 hours a day for work. I am sending back for half size larger and wider hoping they will feel like the other Asics' shoes I own.

This is my third pair of this model Asics. I always buy them in a 2E to accomodate my bunions/wide forefoot. They also control my overpronation which helps me not put too much "push-off" pressure on my arthritic big toes. I sound like a sedentary old lady but I'm really a very active 55 year old who just needs a comfortable athletic shoe to continue my active, exercise life. I wish Asics would make their "wide" shoes in a more stylish collection of colors. I always have to buy the shoe with pink accents which is totally not me. I guess I will forget about style and trendiness and settle for the pink (ugh!) if I can have a shoe that works on my foot, which this model does.

I got these for walking/running-they work great so far and my feet don't hurt. I did get a 1/2 size up, based on the reviews I read.

Shoe looks great and performs like the previous versions of this shoe. Love it as I'm training for a half marathon

I just received these today and loved the overall comfort. I immediately ordered another pair for the future. I have plantar fasciitis & bunions, there was enough toe room and no uncomfortable pressure and my heel does not slip. My foot is a 8.5 AA but I found that you need to order up half a size. They are not bulky, very attractive, and yes, very comfortable. They are used mostly for daily tasks, running errands, bicycling & taking mile walks most days. I wear store bought full-length planter fasciitis insoles in place of the Asics insole. I find the shoe hugs my foot like a warm blanket. I'm very satisfied and would highly recommend these shoes. I have even written a letter to Asics Corporate Office stating my satisfaction with their product, in hopes they leave the shoe assembly alone. It's perfect the way it is. I have noticed some of Brooks & New Balance shoes continue to change their models every time they update to a new version. To all manufacturers, please leave well enough alone and listen to the voices of reviews. Thank you!

I have been ordering this shoe for many years as well. Wear 9 in street shoes, order 9.5 for these. Hard to get a narrow running shoe, but these are great! Also nice that they are not made in China.

I have gotten these shoes before in size 9 medium width, but these were too tight in the toe box area in the same size.

I've been a loyal Asics GT customer for years, and this latest pair is another solid purchase. I run four to five days a week, and these shoes have excellent support. Asics is the only brand I've been able to find with a wide enough toe box while still not being too wide around the heel. (I always order a wide width.) This pair seems just a whisker narrower than my last pair of Asics, but that may be simply that I haven't broken them in yet.

This is a great looking shoe and is good, but unfortunately I have to return. I wear an 8 medium and ordered this in 9 wide and it is not wide enough and to short.

I have to agree with the other reviews about the sizing of this shoe compared to previous models. I wore the GT-2000 2 and 3 (I liked fit and style of that one so much that I bought two), but skipped 4. I can say that the 5 is at least a half-size smaller than versions 2 or 3.
