I have worn Asics 9.5 with an orthotic insert for years. Since reviews said this show runs small, I thought it might fit without the orthotics. Even without the insert, my toes were right up against the tip of the shoe. Surprising since all other Asics have been true to size. I said this show felt a half size smaller, but considering I tried these without my inserts, they might even be a full size smaller.

I have always worn an 8.5 in Asics shoes (literally for years) and have never had an issue with fit. I ordered a 9 based on the complaints of a tight toe box. People weren't kidding! My toes were completely scrunched in a half size larger. The shoes also felt plasticky and just not up to the usual quality. I am so bummed. I will have to branch out from Asics.

Great running shoe. Too bad the sizing was off - half size too small - and you’re out of the next size up.
Too small is not an option for runners!

I should have believed all the reviews on this shoe. It is easily 1/2 size short and even though I ordered a Wide width, the toe box was no wider than any other shoe I've bought in a Medium width. They have to go back, sadly.

I have been wearing Asics for years and this shoe was just too small in my normal size.

I decided to try ASICS after years of New Balance loyalty (New Balance is becoming inconsistent in their 993 sizing and fit). I always order a half size up in sneakers to make room for heavy socks. So when I read that these ASICS felt a half size smaller I did not mind. I ordered 7.5 as I always do (have never worn an 8 that would be huge) and when they arrived and I tried them on I was shocked! They were so small in fact that they cut off circulation when I wore them to “break them in” while walking on the treadmill. I cannot return them as I wore them out but I realized – it is not the sneaker that is too small it is the padding / shock absorber in the sneaker – once I removed and replaced with my own shock absorber they were roomy but not too comfortable. I would not recommend.

The construction of the shoe is ok... not great but not bad either. They were sold and seemed like they had good support. When I tried them on, the arch was oddly placed and was very, very uncomfortable. This is the 2nd pair of Asics I've tried so maybe the brand is not for me. I know someone who is a loyal customer to asics but for my feet, these shoes felt like they came from the reject pile. I returned them.

These shoes run small, at least 1/2 size smaller than most shoes. I liked the support and style, but sizing is off. Order up.

I have bought Asics exclusively since I started running 8 years ago. These shoes are great for support (as I am recovering from knee problems), but the fabric on the inside of the heel/back of ankle is completely torn apart! I have only had them for 4 months and I usually have my sneakers for almost up to a year. This has never happened to me with Asics, but it has made them very uncomfortable to wear.

This shoe is a poor fit overall...I am very unhappy with this purchase. The help with over pronation might be the only area that is effective. Because of the design of these shoes I got blisters on my toes and heels for the first time in a very long time. I put approx 20-40 miles a week on my shoes. I need comfort. I have never had this happen with running shoes! This is the poorest fit and poorest quality shoe I've ever bought! Spent over $100. too!! So, disappointed. I have given the shoes several months to "break-in" and they are still doing the same thing! Gotta go shopping in a brick & mortar store now :*(.

even though the size SEEMS right, my toe sticks out through the mesh fabric and is uncomfortable. After I wore it once, the white lether stip on the inside of the shoe bent inward, got stuck in that position, and has been rubbing my foot from the inside on both shoes. Nice color. Very disappointed.

Runs small, both the length and width. I ordered 1/2 size up and it was still not enough. I ordered width 2E and that was not wide enough. I was so disappointed. It has all the features I was looking for in a shoe.

These DID NOT fit quite right. I only have about 180 running/walking miles on them but they already wore out in the inside heel and rub my Achilles wrong and are uncomfortable to wear. They feel heavier than my last pair but they were GT 2000 as well just not quite the same. I've worn Asics for years and these are probably my least favorite pair. I'm replacing them with a different pair of Asics.

The heel was too high, my foot slid down/forward and my toes were mashed up against the front of the shoe; it seemed way too tight to be a 7.5D, which is what I have been wearing with ASICS GT in previous shoe. Although it didn't fit right, it's a good looking shoe.

They changed their sizing to be smaller, so the biggest shoe is now too small for me. Had to stop wearing them due to the pain. Been wearing aasics for 20 years, not sure what I'm going to do!

Asics has done something to their shoe lasts because every pair I've tried, except one of the cheaper ones, has a flatter toe box and they press on my toes. That's really uncomfortable, so they won't work for me. I've worn Gel Nimbus for years, and I'm having the same problem with them. I'm sending these back. I love the way they look, but they are not comfortable.

I am ammending an earlier review that was written previous to my wearing this shoe. I have worn Asics exclusively for many years - I began with the GT2170 which is more than 10 years, but who's counting? I have been wearing this shoe for several weeks now and I am very disappointed. Not only does it not have the support for those who pronate but pretty much all of the cushioning that the GT2000 series is known for is gone. I have several pairs of previous versions and can feel that they are thinner with each edition of shoe. I am now having to wear extra thick socks because, even with the narrow width, my feet are not stable. The tongue on this shoe is barely thicker than the socks I now have to wear and it is so short that, even when laced through the tab, you have to unlace them to get to it once your foot is in. I use the extra lacing to keep my foot pushed back so this takes more that just pulling up the first few laces. Very irritating. I am now shopping for shoes in a different brand entirely.

I was disappointed because I was ld o believe that this model had a wider toe box. It dos not. Great cushioning and arch.

I bought this model from another retailer and had to return it. I then went to Asics' site to order last year's model which works a lot better for me. While the size and width are the same as last year's, the new model pressed down too much on my big toes, making the nail hurt. Last year's model did no such thing so I wonder if the new model has a shallower toe box than the previous one? Overall though, I love the Asics GT series...it was just this one that didn't quite fit right.

I have had many Asics running shoes in the past, but these just don't fit well. These feel much tighter, yet the heel slips. I ordered wide and then extra wide and they still feel tight across the width of the foot and slip in the heel. I will keep the New Balance I ordered but not these Asics.

I have worn Asics for years, 9.5 narrow, but these were very tight and too small in the toe box. Order larger size if purchasing these.

Bought GT-2000 6, size 6 1/2 wide in early summer, only wore them once doing a walk and ended up with a deep blister on top of my foot near the big toe. Could not send them back as I threw away packaging and wore them that once, $129 down the drain. Have been buying the GT's and same size for at least 10 years and never had a problem. Ordered the GT-2000 5, 6 1/2 but ordered EE wide this time. Kept the packaging this time and will be sending them back, as the toe area is too short. Going to go to a sneaker store now to try other brands. Very disappointed in ACIS.
