New balance has been my favorite sneaker brand for eons but this high priced model was a mistake. Good looks, cushion and arch support but my feet aren't happy due to short cramped toe box, not enough height and length in toe box despite ordering 1/2 to whole size larger than usual. My usual problem is a shoe or sandal too roomy in height and width for my slimmer foot. So I thought maybe I'm not used to a better fit and wore them but I was wrong! Actually, I think New Balance is getting it wrong.

The toe box was too tight. Toes were cramped. Should have listened to other writers but liked the looks so took a chance.

I usually wear a 7.5 or 8. I ordered an 8 and they are too short. I will be returning them. I don't know whether I need an 8.5 or a 9 based on how short these are.

I ordered these online. I bought these shoes liking the color for a walking shoe. I received them in the mail, and was shockingly surprised with the small fit and width, especially in the toe are. What was weird is the area around the ankle and heel. You can almost slip out of the shoe. Not a good fit at all. Which is a shame because it is such a good looking shoe. They will be returned. Honestly, after a few returns, I think I better try the store shoes and find a good fit.

Have the shoe (1865) in purple, which I love, ordered another pair in gray & they do not feel the same at all....not wide enough & toe box seems not as deep. Very disappointed...& puzzled!

I have planters foot and I was unable to put my insole along with my x-wide foot in there with out it looking like my feet where going to pop out... lol! seem to me. the shoe was smaller and it isn't a good shoe for someone with planters foot because you shouldn't be able to twist the shoe from the sides and you can!!!

I'm writing this review with the tiny hope that someone at New Balance will pay attention. I ordered both a D and an EE width, 1/2 size up because of other comments. Length isn't the problem, width is. The body of the shoe itself is plenty wide, but the sole is not, leaving the edges of my feet hanging out over the edge. I've learned from painful experience that unsupported edges of my feet result in leg pain. Back they go.

I have worn New Balance Size 7WW for years. Sizing has been consistent over the years, so I was really disappointed that this shoe was much too tight and may be why it also felt too short. Finally, it doesn't appear to be as well made as previous New Balance shoes. Looks like I'll still be wearing my 847KMs.

My last three pairs of walking shoes have all been New Balance Size 7 WW. While this pair is lighter, which I do like, it is much too tight. I will be returning the shoes and trying another brand.

I ordered this shoe one half size larger than my usual size and found it was at least a quarter inch shorter than my old shoe. Very disappointed.

I bought these by default, when they replaced my prior shoe as a purported improvement. After a month, I'm giving them up. They have no support; the negative impact they have had on my gait has caused me significant lumbar and hip pain. I recommend avoiding this shoe.

I have had great experience with the 1765 women's walking shoe. You "upgraded" it to the 1865. I will not order another pair of these. They provide no support and I have had leg problems after wearing them. Not an improvement over the previous product!! Please bring back the 1765!
