I started with size 8w and exchanged them for the 8.5w because the toe area was very tight in the 8w. I received the 8.5w and while it gave a bit more in length it was still tight at the toe area. I could not use my orthotics with this shoe which I need to utilize. Unfortunately, I will be returning this pair.

I agree with a number of the reviewers, in that the sizing of this shoe runs very small. Reading those reviews, I ordered an 8.5 WW instead of an 8 and my toes still brushed up against the front of the shoe. Not good. The toe box, given these were supposed to be WW, were narrower than I need/expected. I'm returning them, but wish they'd worked out as there is such a limited offering of athletic shoes for women in WW sizing.

I don't feel this is a good replacement for my 1765 - the quality is not there and the laces do not go down as far on the foot to offer adjustability across the wide part of the toe box.

These shoes are cute - which isn't common in my size! but I had to go up a full size to even fit the length of my foot, and the toe box is WAY too small. Others have reported that it accomodates bunions, but they were so narrow in the box that it was hard for me to tell if my bunions fit.

These felt like they might be very comfortable but were too small. I decided to go with the Brooks i ordered instead.

New balance has changed the sizing and is no longer consistent. These shoes look nice, but are too short and narrow. The toe box, even in the extra wide width, was hurting my toes. I always ordered a size 9 wide and the fit was perfect. I ordered a 9 1/2 extra wide in these shoes and the toe box was shallow and uncomfortable. New balance needs to go back to the quality and fit of years past. Comfort never goes out of style

Toe box too tight, even when reordering extra wide width. New balance used to be very consistent in its sizing, but for several years the fit and quality have greatly gone down.

Wanted to love this shoe. Its the perfect style balance for travel. Runs too narrow and too short.

While I had really high hopes even the wide was narrow and I don’t have extra wide feet. The toe box felt cramped as well. I wanted to keep them but they just didn’t work out.

After reading the reviews, I ordered a 6 1/2 (I usually wear a 6). Unfortunately, even the 6 1/2 was too short. The shoe also did not feel comfortable on my foot

Nice looking shoe but I don't feel worth $142.

I have a narrow foot and tried 3 different styles of New Balance walking shoes. The other two were to wide and the heals slipped. I thought I had finally found a winner in this shoe,but wearing it around the house I realized there is little or no arch support and the shoe is too short. I think the quality of New Balance isn't what it used to be. Inconsistent sizing and the materials don't seem as nice as they used to be. The purple color was nice, sort of periwinkle and not too bright.

The grey/silver color of these is very dark - much darker than the photo shows. They are also very short (from heel to toe). My toes were rubbing against the toe of the shoes. I always wear a 6 1/2. Size 7 shoes are too long for me and I trip on them. But these are so short that I think I'd need a 7. I'm returning them.

These shoes felt and looked good until I took them off. My feet hurt in so many spots! The tapered toe must have put pressure on every sensitive or injured joint; it took a day of icing to recover.

I normally wear 8.5 Wide. I tried 8.5W, 8.5E, and 9. They all felt short. I am returning but will try another NB.

I usually wear 9.5AA except in a walking/hiking shoe. So I ordered the 10AA. It is truly a narrow...even the heel. But the toe box is a little too pointy and won't accommodate my walking socks. If I get the 10.5NN then the shoe will be much too long. And I like my socks, so I am returning the shoe. So if a thinner sock is worn, this shoe may be perfect for those with narrow feet.

Took the advice of other reviews and ordered a size up. Also ordered wide but these shoes are really narrow. The toe box has no room. Have had NB in the past that were really comfortable. Not these. I am returning.
