Still trying to break them in. Running a too small not with wide but long length. I'm between a 9.5 and a 10 so it is very hard to find a good fit.

I bought the 1300 because it was the closest shoe to the discontinued Country Walker. I have a horse farm so I am walking in wet grass and doing water buckets in the barn. They are comfortable for walking but over time the cushion seems to compress and they aren't as comfy. I don't like the color,I prefer the brown color of the Town and Country look of the Country Walker. The blue on the 1300 shows too much dirt.

The fit it just what I wanted. I always order a 8.5 wide and it is just right. I like the look of these shoes. They are a muted navy blue (mostly) and I like the trim as well. My only criticism is that I wish they were a little more squishy comfy inside. The inside sole is a bit hard.

This is the second time I have purchased this shoe. The only problem I have is the laces come loose and I have to retie often. Other than that that I love them. They look great with my jeans. They're a nice winter shoe.

Will use for hiking. Ordered a wide, it's a tad too tight, but I'm keeping anyway and have put on a stretcher. Obviously I wish it had been a perfect fit, because it seems like a really strong boot/shoe.

I usually wear the 990v5 model. These 1300's are for my winter walking in upstate NY. The soles are good in cold, wet conditions, and the sole has anti slip material, but that could be improved for icier conditions. The toe box is roomy and the fit is fine except that even after adjusting the laces, my heel slips out of the back. There is room for my orthotics, but the slippage really jams my toes forward and alters my gait. They are lightweight and definitely keep me feet warm and dry.

I was very disappointed to find 1400 no longer in my size and that NB has discontinued it. These are the closest I could get to them and they are a good walking shoe. Still looking for something like my old ones, 1400. I love the shoe but I wonder if NB really cares what I think. Customer service not so good

Love the water resistance for winter and spring yard workisThe sole is durable and solid for walking. I had to add additional insole first thing because shoe lacks arch and metatarsus support

Purchased because was noted to be waterproof. Haven't tried out yet. Looks great with jeans because of blue coloring. Seems to run maybe tad short versus true to size. Didn't receive rewards points because thought that would happen with a separate step.

They are very nice looking. They are comfortable. The only thing I would change wish they were wider in toe area.

I've been on the hunt for a great walking shoe for 4 months. I like the look of this shoe. I ordered a 12D, my normal NB shoe size. Agree with other reviewers that the color appears more a blue than a grey. But still very attractive. I like the style. They have an excellent arch support and great rigid, but cushiony support under the foot. They feel so much better than the other 12+ NB styles I've been trying over the last few months. Nice rugged sole too. However, they do feel slightly narrower than my expectation of a 12D based on my other NB shoes. The D/wide width feels more like a B/medium width. Also the toebox feels a little smaller than what I would expect in a 12D. Still have room enough room in the toebox, it just feels "close" and would like them just a little bit bigger. I can only wear them with a thin sock which wouldn't work for hiking when I wear thicker wool socks. My other issue with these shoes is the SHORT length of the laces. I barely have enough shoestring length left after lacing them to make a teeny-weeny itty-bitty bow tie in the laces and the bow has no tails. I suspect they might often come untied on a walk and I'd be constantly re-tying them. I don't notice the heel slippage other reviewers mention, but I do use all the lace holes and use a special way to lace them through the last hole (Fleet Feet showed me) to help keep the heel in place, which is also why I probably don't have much shoestring left to tie. The shoestrings should definitely be longer. I guess I could go separately buy longer shoe laces too. Am reordering these shoes in the Extra Wide to see if that makes a difference in fit for me. And maybe I'll get lucky and they'll have longer shoelaces too because of the wider width??? Fingers crossed!!

They are a great work shoe. I wear them almost every day from daylight till dark. Just wish they lasted me a little longer . Can go through a pair within a few months. So glad I finally found a shoe that don't hurt my feet all the time.

Almost! Great style/material/look, great structure/stability for hiking. Fit my wide toebox and orthotic, but length was 1/2 size too long, even with a thick sock. Returning.

I wear for every day walking and yard work. Like that it comes in a women's size 12 which is hard to find.I actually need a half size but for some reason most shoe companies stop making half sizes at size 10? I put an extra cushioning insole in and find that makes it more comfortable and makes it fit better.

These are a little heavier than I like but they do what they are supposed to for support and cold and wet. They are very nice looking.

I bought these shoes because I wanted a closed top on my shoe for the colder winter months and I like New Balance shoes because they usually have a nice strong heel support. These are good looking shoes. They feel stiff after wearing athletic shoes with the net kind of top.

For the most part the shoe is comfortable, but needs more cushion in the heel area.

I was so sad these didn’t work for me. I loved them, so supportive and comfortable. I walked in them with various socks and my heel slipped out. I have never had this issue with any shoe. It was very strange. I may try another pair as it could have been a manufacturing fluke. Very pretty blue.

I've been looking for a navy blue, and these are blue, New Balance shoe for a long time. These fit the bill. I wear an 11 wide and at first the shoes seemed a bit shallow (not deep enough for my feet) and my heel was slipping slightly. After removing the insoles they fit much better. The bottoms are now rather hard, but I'll be wearing these with heavier socks so they should be just fine. And there's lots of room for my toes. Best of all I really like the the way they look with jeans.

Really sturdy and a bit larger than my usual NB 7.5s, but great in the rain and on my feet. BUT, they are blue, not grey. Nice shade, but not what I was expecting.

I tried these for working outside in the wooded area of my property. I usually take an 8.5W. I need to use them with a thicker hike sock. Unfortunately, these are too narrow and a tad too short. If the 8.5XW was in stock, that might solve my problem--I would also like to try a 9W--but that isn't available either. They seem to have nice cushioning, may slip a bit on the heel, seem well made, nice color.
