Ran very large for my son. Like that the ankle portion is narrower and less bulky than some. Nice closure at top to keep snow out. Fairly rigid overall though.

Bought for my 6YR old son. Was great at first but half way through the winter season noticed his feet were getting wet each day. Realized the soles had worn down at bit at the heel on both boots. This exposed vents/channels in the rubber sole that went straight through to the inner liner (maybe to make the boots lighter or for greater cushioning?). So snow and water went straight through to the liner and his sock.
I understand there will always be damage/wear and tear from active boys but was surprised it lasted only half a season.

Returned first pair because "lace" on one of the boots frayed considerably after my son wore only three times. They replaced with a new pair of boots (see below). So far new pair is ok.

Have bought the toddler apenglow for my daughter twice before, moved up to these youth apenglow based on size, but they have a liner that slips down unless an adult holds it up while she puts on her boot. She wears them with the liner scrunched down most of the time at school. I understand the functionality of a removable liner for drying purposes, but the liner needs something to keep it up. Will now need to find another boot without a liner.

Usually love North face however these shoes were a bummer! The lining inside the shoe has too much material therefore it creates very uncomfortable bumps right over the toes area. Exchanged for another pair- same problem. Unfortunately sending them back! Very disappointed in North Face!

Im a 28 yr old female just purchased these boots for myself. They are cute but they are not water proof! We have had 4 inches of snow recently, while walking my dog,my toes are completely cold and wet I have worn 2 pairs of socks with them.

The look of the boot is great, but it was impossible to get my toddler's foot inside. Due to the way the opening of the boot is made and the fact that it can only be opened/stretched to a certain point, I was unable to get her foot inside without breaking it off, and there's no way to determine whether her foot is all the way inside. Its baffling because the baby version of this boot is amazing. This was truly disappointing that she couldn't wear them at all and now I'm stuck with brand new unwearable boots. I hope they do something about the way this boot is made because I think it would otherwise be a great winter snow boot.

There is very little access to get a child with all their winter gear into this boot. My daughter has high arches and couldn't get her foot in the boot.

The top stitch on one shoe was so thick my granddaughter would not wear the boots. She said they hurt to much. I returned them.

Unfortunately, the inner liner of these boots isn't attached and after one wear we can no longer get the liner to stay up and now cannot use these expensive boots. I would have given them a zero if possible!

Very nice looking boots but not true to size
- I am normally a size 6 but I ordered these in a 7 and they are still too tight.

I'm not sure why everyone likes these boots. Maybe I received a defective pair? I think these boots are terrible! These boots are poorly designed. It's very difficult to put these boots on my daughter (6 yrs old). The boots cannot loosen enough, even though there is plenty of laces, the material will not allow the boots to expand to allow the feet to slide in. In addition, the liner slides down and gets bunched up under the heal. To top it off, they're not waterproof. I own a ton of North Face gear and never have been dissatisfied as I am with these boots.

I have a very active 5 year old. She spends 2 hours outside everyday in Okanagan BC Winters. She was complaining (first time in her life ) of cold feet after 15 minutes in -1C weather with snow. (November 2020) Feet were red and cool and blotchy. Tried on another day. Same issue. This is with high quality merino wool socks and baselayer. Needless to say, we returned and bought winter insulated Mucks the 2nd time and zero complaints for the rest of the winter even during a cold snap down to -20c. We have used kamik and Sorrels in the past as well, and insulated Mucks. I would not purchase North face boots again for winter for children. I purchased these boots with a coupon and paid 50% less, but still not worth it. However return process was excellent for worn footwear. So one star!

Disappointed with these boots. There is no way my son could put these on. They don't ha e a strap or zipper to open to get your foot in. Seemed like a nice durable boot, but had to return.

Son's feet get wet every time he plays in the snow. The liners are soaked and his wool socks are wet. These boots are only a month old.

I normally buy Sorel boots, thought I'd try these this year and I'll never buy again. These boots are SO HARD to get on. My 8 year old struggles, they liner does not stay in place and folds down, she needs help putting them on. It's frustrating, I will not buy Northface kids boots again. I'm shocked these boots have such high reviews.
