This coat is exactly what I've been looking for. My other north face summit series is very warm but too short for these cold winters. I needed a longer jacket that protects me from wind, snow, and rain. I wear a large and I have a larger chest so it's I have trouble getting jackets to fit right, this fits great, true to size for me!!

This coat fits nicely. I got it to wear with athletic clothes but also want it to look nice to wear to work. Overall, I am happy with this coat. I got a size xsmall (5'5"/118 lb) and it fits well to wear over a hoodie/sweater. My only 2 complaints are
1. the detachable fur hood. It looks kind of weird when you have your hood up. Not a deal breaker for me because I will rarely wear the hood up.
2. The pocket coverings. They impede you being able to quickly and easily unzip the pocket. I guess this could be good so no one can "pick pocket" you, but it's just a bit annoying.
I chose this coat over the sun down valley parka from EB. I feel like it is a comparable coat but i liked this one better. Also chose this coat over the north face louise tri-climate coat (in store only I believe). I really like the fit and feel of that coat but for $80, it was not worth it.

It really is waterproof! Very warm and comfortable. I love it very much but I don't like the faux fur on the hood though it is removable. I'd recommend for anyone who is looking for a jacket for cold rainy weather. Allows excellent arm movements and fits well

Ever since I moved to the East Coast from sunny California, I've been on the lookout for a good winter coat in order to get me through what I'm sure will be some brutal winters. I've tried a bunch of insulated winter coats from a number of competitors, but they all fell short on at least one of my non-negotiables: good fit, affordable price, waterproof down. This was the only one I tried on that seemed to be comfortable, warm, AND fitted! Everything else just made me look like a giant marshmallow. I like their little details (warm, lined pockets! It's been waterproofed! The fur is detachable!) and am finally looking forward to the cooler weather since I know I'll be protected! My one complaint is that the bottom half poufs out more than I would like, but again, it still looks better than every. other. coat. I've tried on. Making sure to button up the buttons on top of the zipper help to streamline my profile.

I fell for this coat as soon as I saw it in the store. I got the beautiful olive green color in XS. Style is important to me and this coat shows off my hourglass figure. More importantly, I am warm and comfortable. I do not like to be cold and I am not cold in this coat. I had another NorthFace for three years but it got stolen. That coat last the entire time I had it. Northface and Colorado walk hand in hand and I am grateful for the beautiful and useful coats. I ordered boots too and I cannot wait for them!

Bought the TNF black slub in xs for my 18 year old daughter who is 5 feet 6 inches and weighs 105 pounds with a slim boyish figure. The parka is a lot thinner than I thought it would be. I can't say how warm it is as she only tried it on inside the house. What I can say is that the fit is not appealing on her. She tried it with a hoodie underneath, and it made her looked kinda of round. Maybe a size up will fit her better, but I am looking for something a little thicker. Sadly it's going back.

loved the coat--warmth and look i was looking for, just too snug in the shoulders. i was between sizes, XS and S, The XS was WAY too small in shoulders, the S was still a little snug in chest/shoulders, but too baggy elsewhere.

Fits like a glove, so for winter i would recommend take a size bigger to be able to wear a sweater underneath.

Great quality and details. Very durable. Doesn’t feel as puffy and warm as other TNF 500-power fill coats. Not sure how that can be. VERY slim fit. XS was too tight for me - 25 waist, 36 chest. (Ended up returning.) I’d say this is appropriate for 30-40 degrees in Chicago. Not good for freezing winter. Too slim for layering.

I'm 5'8-5'9" and 145 lbs. The medium was tight around my underarms. I've a fairly lean build so I had to move up to a large. I also have long arms and although both the medium and large were good length wise, with the thumb hole attached it pulled on my hands. Also uncomfortable was the zipper under the neck. I've a long neck and on both medium and large it sits under my chin and feels very pokey. Annoying enough that I couldn't zip it all the way and just put a scarf on. So i think if you are shorter this coat would be perfect. For tall people who are active it's just got some annoying qualities.

Unadvertised slim fit in otherwise attractive, well-made, warm jacket. Jury's still out on weather I will keep it or return it.

This was a great Winter coat. I had to return it due to the size being too small. I wish a size large would have been available.

This is probably the best jacket and piece of clothing that I own. I wore this a few weeks ago when my husband and I went hiking in Aspen. We walked to Maroon Bells and that trek was a total of 11 miles. This jacket kept me super warm even though I was wearing short sleeves underneath. It's a bit bulky but it's still amazing and SO comfy!!

I wear this parka everyday in the winter. It is the warmest coat I have ever own. However, it is a little restricting in the shoulders and arms. Bottom line, I would definitly buy again.

This is a nice, stylish, practical coat. I wish it was a little longer, and it's a little thinner than my other NF coat, but it's a sturdy coat, and I'm sure it will keep me warm and dry in the cold New England winter for years to come.

I have worn Northface for years. Fit is snug and zipper is a bit difficult to engage but great warm, waterproof jacket !

I wear the coat nearly everyday because it is very cold where i live. It is very warm and comfortable. My only comment is that it could be a little easier to zip up. The double zipper can sometimes make it difficult.

I'm 5'2 and ordered a small and it fit great! I can even layer on a thicker sweater underneath without feeling like I'm restricting myself from moving around. The only I did not like is the feathers on the hood of the jacket but thankfully it's removable. Pockets are warm to put your hands inside.

Plenty of pockets, large front pockets, and cheese pocket. The sleeves have a nice detail that I love, the inner cuffs have a thumb whole if you want the sleeve to cover your hands. The jacket is extremely warm in the cold NY weather, but it is very bulky and uncomfortable to wear while driving. I don't like the stripes on the front pockets, and I don't like how bulky it is and how boxy it makes me look. It looked like a guys jacket on me. Maybe later I'm 5'7 and 190lbs I got xl bc that's what it suggested and it seemed to fit except being bulky n baggy in the mid and chest sections. I previously tried an Arctic parka II in large but it was too small. I then returned that one and accidentally ordered this one. I returned this one and ended up getting a women's Arctic parka II which I love, it's much for flattering on a woman.

This parka has a very flattering fit at the waist and body area; not boxy like some that are a similar style. The only reason I did not give it a five star rating, is that it is a little restrictive at the upper leg area for activities like skiing. Otherwise, my attractive jacket and fit.

Bought this Jacket for my girlfriend and she loves it. Its very warm and North Face is known for making warm coats. I have one for myself the male version obviously and I wasn't impressed at all. Its very bulky and uncomfortable but this isn't about my Jacket I will complain about that on my coat. But she loves it and it keeps her very warm. The quality is as expected and they last forever. The one thing I can really say I love about them mostly is the warranty coverage very good warranty. Especially considering the cost. Excellent product and I do recommend the product although there are some small issues.
