I can't believe how much I love this jacket. I bought it in early March, and every morning since I've been hoping that the Boston early spring weather stays as cold as it has been just so I can wear the jacket. It is warm, cozy and snug, while still feeling really fashionable. The deep pockets are fantastic for holding the essentials without making it look bulky. The snaps close really easily with one hand. The only thing I don't like is the way it gaps out around the waist if the pockets are unzipped. I have not had any problems with feathers coming out, as other reviewers noted.

The only con I would say about this coat is if you don't have the zipper correctly in place it will sewerage when you sit down

Read the reviews before purchasing and have only had it a couple weeks... Have noticed a couple feathers come out, but I think that is typical for down coats (and my son loves the feathers). Not sure yet if the reflective detail comes off... Tried on several different North Face coats and this one definitely felt like I would be more able to wear bigger sweaters underneath...which is what I was looking for...but still doesn't look too bulky... I love it!

This is a great coat if you need something warm and comfortable. It is also light enough for me to be on the train for 20 mins and not overheat. I am 5'5' and 140 lb and a medium gives me room to wear a sweater underneath. I also like the tie at the bottom of the coat for windy days so I don't have a draft.

This is the warmest coat I have ever owned. It keeps me warm, dry and protects from the wind. The hood is very warm and doesn't fall down in the wind. I did take the fur trim off the hood because it would fall in front of my eyes. I love all the pockets and I can fit the essentials in the coat so I don't have to carry a bag. Definitely worth the money.

Absolutely in love with this jacket - great fit and super functional with large pockets that can fit plenty of stuff so that I don't need to bring my purse every time I leave my house. Super warm and great protection for rainy weather (I live in Seattle, WA so that's needed...) I also like how the fur on the hood is removable. It does run a little small, I'm usually a S but went for a M in this one as it felt a little snugg across the shoulders (5'8" and 138lbs). Nothing bad to say about it - would recommend this one to anyone that is planning on spending some time in colder weather. The length of it also helps tremendously to keep you extra warm and cozy! Definitely get your money worth!

I wear it almost every day ever since I bought it. Very practical, keeps me very warm on windy and rainy days.I love the various pockets, i stopped carrying bags! The pockets take all my necessities, wallet, phone, keys, water bottle, lip balm and phone charger (if needed).

It's a wonderful coat. It keeps you warm when you are out side in 30- 11 degree temps. Although I would have maybe gotten a size bigger because when I wear layers under it, it seems to be alittle tight but still wearable.

This is the best winter jacket that I've owned. I don't need to layer this jacket because it is so heavily insulated, only when it's less than 20 degrees out do I feel the need to layer it. The zipper is a little funny sometimes but Northface has a lifetime warranty so if that messes up than its covered. This jacket is waterproof and it's amazing. It is wind proof and the people who are saying it's not don't realize at the bottom of the jacket there's adjustable elastic to make it as tight/loose as you need it. Since its so heavily insulated I did size up. I work at north face and I always tell the custamors to try on this jacket with a sweater and put your arms over your head to make sure you don't feel restricted. If you do than its time to size up. Bottom line, buy this jacket it's amazing.

I recently moved from Florida to northwestern Minnesota and had never experienced a winter. Did lots of browsing and trying on different jackets and went with this one. So far we've had temps close to -24 and wind chills in -30's and it's kept me warm, even in wind. So far great jacket and I would recommend it!

I love this jacket! Complements my hour glass shape. Very warm and the hood is great. Love the longer back and length is great as I like to walk and don't want too much coat. Exactly what I have been searching for! I've been looking for an attractive, waterproof coat to use everyday in colder weather.

I totally love this coat! I'm 5'1 and 108 lbs and this coat actually fits me, with the exception of the sleeves being too long. Its really warm, and not too long for me like all the other NorthFace Parkas. The Garnet red is a great color.

I've had my old coat for about 3 years and need a replacement. I was deciding between a Canada goose and a Northface. I did not regret my choice. I save in cost and got, comfort and warmth. Love it!

Searched and searched for a winter jacket and FINALLY found this one. I was so close to giving up and buying a canada goose...but i didn't want to shell out that kind of money. This coat fits so perfectly and has everything I need.

I decided it was time to splurge a bit and invest in a good winter coat that was figure-flattering yet warm and light. I knew I wasn't into Canada Goose or Moose Knuckles although also within my pocketbook range as in a no-frills girl who cannot be bothered to dry clean her winter coat and I'm not a fan of fur either. After researching The North Face website and seeing many viable options that were all machine-washable, my eyes were set on the prize. I ended up picking this style over the Tremaya Parka (although a very close second, which I tried on many times to deliberate!) because it's much lighter and with a more comfortable fit. I knew I wouldn't end up feeling too warm and annoyed in it...Tremaya's arms are a bit snug and I tend to be on the overheated side. I've worn this Far Northern on 3 occasions so far since buying it and I love it! Faux fur hood keeps me warm as I was able to test it out in our snowstorm last night. Coat length keeps my upper legs warm and is easy to walk and bend over to put my boots on. Fleece-lined pockets keep my hands warm. Loving it! Only comment is that I wished it had a little of the waist cinch that Tremaya has...other than that, it's amazing and I'm looking forward to being fashionably warm and functionally practical this winter!!!!!

I bought this Jacket because the one I had bought last year was so bulky. Since the first time I wore this Jacket I just felt so comfortable, light but extremely warm, perfect for the brutal Chicago winters. I really did not think I was going to LOVE this Jacket but I was wrong, I really like the way the sleeves fit, the 34-inch length with a drop tail hem allows you to move your hands and makes it more comfortable.

This coat wrap you tight, and keep you warm. I am 5' 3 and 106 lb. XS size fits perfect for me. I think this coat can definitely over-compete Canada Goose - the same good quality but much cheaper price. Really like this coat than my other down coats.
