I enjoy running and usually log about 15-20 miles per week. I went to a running store and was fitted with GEL-Kayanos about 3 years ago and ran them into the ground. I LOVED them. So naturally, when I was ready for a new pair I bought them again. I am not a big fan of these. I have now had them for about 6 months and they just don't give my feet the love my old shoes did. I am a size 6.5-7 in regular shoes, so always order a 7.5 in running shoes to give my feet some extra room. I received the 7.5 in these shoes and had to return them because they were just too snug. I received the 8 and thought at first they were fine, but now they are too big in the middle and back of my foot, but still small in the toe box area. The toe box is more confined, causing calluses to form on my pinky toes. I have had to tighten them up on some runs to the point that my toes go numb! I love the color and I always will love ASICS, but I do not like these shoes. Because I spent the money, I feel like I have to get my money's worth with them, but I cannot wait to get fitted for new shoes very soon.

I'm so disappointed in this shoe! I had the Gel-Kayano 22 and they were truly my Cinderella running shoe. I was able to work up my distance with no pain or injury and they lasted me almost 9 months. I thought I'd say "bad reviews be damned" and give these a try but everyone was right. These are too narrow and the arch support is far less than in the 22, to the point that when I walked around I immediately knew they wouldn't work. So disappointed. I will say that as running shoes go, they are pretty, but obviously that doesn't matter if your feet hurt and you end up injured. I've ordered the 22 from the Asics website and now I have to wait a week for my new babies. Such a bummer they messed up this generation.

I used to really like this shoe. The newer versions are over cushioned around the heel and they just feel bulky.

I was excited to try these, but quickly found that they were not for me. The toe box is really tight, and I understand that a design change is responsible for that, but it is too tight for me. Add to that that the shoe was more narrow than a standard medium width, and well, it was uncomfortable. I will say that the cushioning technology is tremendous, so when I find a model that will work for me, I am snatching it up!

I bought the grey/mint color...nice looking shoe but they seem uncomfortably narrow. I've worn asics for years and never had a problem. After wearing them around the house for a good week, I still don't think I can wear them for a long run.

I wore Kayanos for 11 years, and when I ordered a 22 last year, the first thing I noticed was that my toes were hitting the top of the shoe....enough so that I felt like I'd for sure lose toenails if I kept them. Just like many others have said! I still haven't found a shoe I like as much as all my old Kayanos. I'm super hopeful that the Kayano 24 will be much improved on the 22 and 23!!

This is my 4th pair of kayano which I love. It is my second pair of 23's only in a different color. Found it very odd that my newer pair feels so much different. I'm having issues with the heel being too loose and causing Peroneal tendon issues. I know someone else with the same issue wearing this model. I am hoping it is a fluke bec these shoes are amazing for long runs and hate to have to switch to a different shoe

Typically I'm hesitant to buy shoes online, because I need to feel the fit first. Since I've always worn Asics in an 8 1/2, and love them, I felt no problem ordering online. wish I read the reviews first. I got this shoe, seemed ok at first, but within 10 minutes my feet were numb! The toe box is so narrow, not only in width, but top to sole height. I went to a store and tried them in a 1/2 size bigger. That just meant a shoe too long to trip over, and the narrowness to still strangle my foot. Have to abort on this shoe, still carefully exploring for a new replacement.

The toe box is narrow. Buy at least 1/2 size larger than what you normally wear. These are my Easter shoes. I get plenty of complements on the flowers. Just wish the toe box was a bit larger.

Finally a shoe for me that wasn't a crazy color! I have the Kayano 20. So perfect, but old. Based on other reviews I bought a size larger than usual in this newer style. Looked great but toe box was really tight. Even in the larger size. There was no width choice. Sadly, I had to return them.

Im disappointed in these. I babied my previous Kayano shoes as long as possible because they were expensive, but absolutely perfect for my feet. I tried these on in a store in my usual size, too snug, but they didn't have the next size. Plan B-- ordered a size up from Zappos. Still too snug in the toes, and and toe box is narrow. Previous reviewers unhappy with the latest Kayano versions are right! The newer versions are not as good.

I miss the old Kayanos. The toe is too narrow. I will have no find a new favorite running shoe.

I usually wear asics nimbus, but decided to try these because I haven't been pleased with nimbus since the 16s. The Kayano seem to be narrow in the B width, and I have narrow-average width feet. When I walk in these a long time it seems to make my plantar fasciitis flare up. The toe box is small and narrow. They have great cushioning, and I have had many compliments on the color (navy blue). I just wish Asics would go back to the nimbus 16 style.

Yes what everyone said is true the toe box is short and narrow. Had to find out for myself because I though maybe it's livable but they fit nothing like the last couple years of the Kayano. Very disappointing.

While I am a loyal Asics Kayano fan, I found this latest edition to be smaller in the height of the toe box.

fell in love with this color/style, i had worn out a pair of Kayano 22, and hoped the other reviews wouldn't affect me, but alas, this shoe is too small. Ordered the next size up and it's good in length but a bit too wide. For full price, not a deal. I'll return and wait till they go on sale, then re-think. Cushioning, support all seem good, just sized poorly.

These feel tighter than my Kayano 22's. But hopefully they will stretch. I'm not sure why Asics sizes seem to vary from the same style by at least 1/2 size. It's annoying becuse this is a great shoe with consistent support, but the sizes vary so it's difficult to trust online ordering. I suggest buying the size you wear and a 1/2 size bigger.

I bought the shoe in a size 8 and when I got it it was to small. The tag inside the shoe said it was an 8 but it clearly wasn't. I was able to give it to my niece who normally wears a size 6 and it fit her with a little room to spare!!!

The shoe is great and I liked the color scheme. It does feel like the toe area is slightly shorter and narrower than previous styles. If I had to do it over again, I would order 1/2 size larger.

I've been wearing Kayanos for 5-7 years now, I started out in a 12, then when I saw they started making 12.5's I went up to the 12.5. But when I tried on the Kayano 23 in a 12.5, I was shocked that they were too short. So thanks to the magic at Zappos, I had a pair of 13's within 2 days and am perfectly happy again. I'm not sure if Asiscs is getting smaller or my foot is still growing (hope not, I'm 43). Still love the Kayanos though, they are my perfect shoe.

I've ran twice and I've developed a bone bruise on the ball of my left foot, about an inch behind the middle toe. The inner sole is hard and this may be the cause. It has me wondering if I should have gone with the Gel Nimbus, which I've ran in with previous success.

Great light weight shoe but D width wasn't very different from standard width. I needed more room in my toes... had foot surgery 6 mos ago and foot is still tender. I returned them for full refund.

The toe box is too narrow. I have a wide foot so I have to get the wide width shoe. Even with the wide width shoe the toe box is way too narrow. I love to go for long walks but by the time I got halfway to where I walk the side of my foot was hurting because I over pronate. That is why I get the Kayanos. I am really disappointed with the shoe. I am stuck with an expensive shoe that I can't wear!
