just wish it was more leather and less material, but maybe this is okay for the summer... i bought these in black last year, love them, still in great condition;

Haven't worn the New Balance 990 series for several years. For years, it was my go to shoe. Ordered a pair recently and from the moment I tried the shoe on, it was like visiting with an old friend. Still an excellent shoe for stability, support, well made (and in the USA) plus offers a narrow width option. Great colors too! Thanks, Zappos!

The fit and size was perfect. the material, on the top of shoe is firm and soft to the touch. The heel inside along the top is soft and supportive. No problems with inside the shoe. I wear foot inserts and tried the shoes on both ways , It is just a little stiff on my foot that had a fractured two months ago. My feet like to flex and do so better in the 877 and 411. But I will try this shoes again in the fall. It is a really nice quality shoe and love the looks of this shoe. I would wear this most everywhere. A dependable shoe.

These shoes are so comfortable and give great support to my feet, ankles and knees while walking. I have pronation problems and these shoes make it a non-issue. I hope I've found a shoe I can buy over and over.

I wear custom orthotics because of flat feet so I can’t talk about arch support but overall they give excellent support to my feet. I find them very comfortable and cute.

They're great! I absolutely love that they're made in America...the price certainly reflects that but I'm always willing to pay for the added quality. I normally wear a size 7 but in athletic shoes I wear 7.5. On occasion if only narrow is available, I can order that. I wouldn't have wanted this shoe in a narrow width because I prefer the lace eyelets closer together rather than spread apart. The shoes were great right out of the box - they're very neutral (grey on grey) and I noticed no smell whatsoever. I love them - and would order them again if ever something happened to these. I always appreciate the great service from Zappos.

I love the shoe and fit but returned these because it’s all leather and will be hot in our 90 degree weather. I got another pair in black with mesh. The best for support and comfort and don’t make your feet look big in black. I wear a 9.5.

I ordered numerous shoes, in effort to find a pair that would fit my brace, and the only pair at this time that fit was made by Drew.

This is probably my 3rd or 4th pair of this shoe. It is excellent for walking and/or moderate exercise (at least that's the kind of exercise I do). I started wearing this style when my chiropractor recommended it because of its excellent ankle support. I wear a 10 usually, but get a 10.5 because of the athletic socks I wear when I use this shoe. Highly recommend it!

I had 3 pairs of the W990v3 which I loved. The W990v4 sole is too chunky. I'm returning them.
