Everything about this shoe is perfect. This is the best fitting shoe that I've ever owned. Have gone through several pair over the past few years. My size is 6.5 W.

This is my second pair of New Balance . It is a great shoe, fits my foot and allows me to walk for a long while. It is a sports shoe and although it does not look Dainty it is not meant to be worn with dress up Clothes. They are a nice grey and pink shade and are comfortable. I have arthritis in spine and these are wonderful shoes .

Zappos is one of the best online stores I have ever dealt with. Always quick with delivery if there is a problem they make sure it is corrected. These sneakers are great by the way.

I love this New Balance shoe. I wore the pink and gray one for the last 3 years, and finally got a new pair recently. They felt even better new than I had remembered, so I decided to get another pair but in black to wear at my job. They are so comfortable. I wear plastic insoles to support my arches, and they fit perfectly in this shoe. This is also one of the only athletic shoes with a significant heel to toe drop (which I need) and excellent arch support. These shoes are high quality. As I said, my last pair lasted me 3 years, and they didn't wear through anywhere or fall apart. I just wore them down enough that it was time to get new ones for the cushion and arch support. These are the best shoes I've ever worn, and I am on my feet all day and then go to the gym in them. I often log 15,000 - 18,000 steps a day on mixed surfaces: carpet, tile, blacktop, grass, and then running at the gym. These shoes are amazing.

I like these sneakers for everyday wear. I injured my ankle badly this fall and with a support stocking they were great in my recovery. They are comfortable from the get go. I have new balance arch support inserts which I use in all my NB Shoes which greatly aid my flat feet. They aren’t the most handsome looking but not the ugliest either. They are the most comfortable however and that counts the most.

I have an older 990 shoe from about 3 years ago, and the new ones do not disappoint. The arch support feels great. The same size and width from my old ones are the perfect size in these new ones. If you need a larger heel to toe drop, these are fantastic shoes. Also, I use plastic orthotic inserts in my shoes, and they fit great in these as well. I LOVE these New Balance shoes.

I have these in the Castlerock Gray and the Military Green. Both of those are made of suede and fabric. The Angora ones are all suede. I was surprised, but not disappointed at all.

I have wide feet and walk 10 miles a day (city miles on paved sidewalks). I love these shoes, which are more cushioning than they at first feel - no blisters, no plantar fasciitis. I’ve been buying them for a couple of years now and always have two pairs on the go. They’re expensive but they last me longer than cheaper shoes, so I think they’re worth it.

I ordered these shoes in wide and they fit well even with custom orthotics. Just ordered another pair. I have never paid this much money for a pair of athletic shoes but I have a closet full of shoes that didn’t work. The shoe has great support and I have walked over 20,000 steps per day and frequently walk bluffs with steep hills near my house and they are comfortable and my feet are pain free. Theses are my go to shoes on vacation and they rock. I highly recommend!

Although there are more stylish looking athletic shoes on the market, these are my go-to shoes for walking and for working out. The arch support is perfect for me (history of plantar fasciitis) and the lateral stability and heel support help me to compensate for an unstable ankle. The leather component supports the shoe's stability but, as others have noted, it makes the shoe exterior more difficult to keep clean. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the laces an inch or so longer. I've purchased 5 or 6 pairs of these shoes in different colors over the past few years and will continue to do so. It's the only athletic shoe I own that leaves my feet pain-free after wearing them.

Best shoe to accommodate foot orthosis. No need to break in.

I’ve worn this athletic shoe for one month and have walked many miles in it. Love it—the look, the function, the comfort. I add an over -the-counter arch support to avoid plantar fasciitis—works great.

Very comfortable shoe. I have a lot of trouble finding comfortable shoes and these were comfortable right from the beginning.

This sneaker is awesome! I did have to return the B width for D (wide)..only because with winter coming I know I will be wearing heavier socks. The B width felt true and now the D is perfect for thicker socks! I like the longer laces..compared to my 990v4 previous pair. I absolutely LOVE that they are made in USA, which is why I ordered them!! I do wish New Balance made more of their sneakers in USA. I think this shoe is comfortable and I will enjoy wearing. I must say the Zappos service is excellent! My return was handled in a very friendly, efficient manner and the sneakers arrived the next day. I am waiting for the return label to arrive in the mail so I can send the 1st pair back..and the free shipping both ways is just icing on the 'sneakers'...lol. This is the only sneaker I would be able to recommend to anyone because it is the only one I have found that is made in USA.

This is my sixth pair of this model shoe over the last 2 1/2 years. I use prescription orthotics and they are perfect. This model was one of a handful recommended by my podiatrist.
