Great customer service. I wear a women's size 11 double A and could not find these anywhere - even top stores. Zappo's came through. Yay!

Usually buy this shoe in gray...but so happy for have the aqua color. New Balance athletic shoes fit my foot perfectly and have for years but may not be the shoe for everyone. I use this shoe for walking and general wear...have several other NB styles suited for the activity I am doing. I always use a custom insert.

the fit and size were perfect. I have long toes, flat feet and very narrow heel. I was hesitant to spend so much money but they have lasted a year and been really durable. Well worth every cent.

I purchased these shoes after having read several of the reviews. Despite what others wrote about how they look, I thought they looked great, not ugly! I have a size 13M and have always found that the darker the shoe, the smaller my foot looks. I couldn't be happier with how these shoes feel and look! I even wore them all day without my orthotics. Thank you New Balance!

This is my second pair of 990. Love them, so comfortable. My first pair was 8.5 D width which was a little to wide. Went with regular width this time. They are perfect.

I hate buying shoes online because I end sending them back and getting burned on return shipping cost. Zappos helps take the sting out of that but still... Anyways the shipping was lightning fast and the shoes were well packaged. They fit my extra wide width feet wonderfully. I'm so happy that they came with the pink details on the grey. Overall, fit is great, they feel very comfortable and I am completely satisfied with the shoes and the service

I love the New Balance 990v4! It is a perfect fit for my size 7.5 narrow foot. The colors are great, and the comfort level is wonderful!

I didn't buy these for looks, though I'm happy with the larger range of color choices now available for the 990. As someone with a very narrow foot and a high arch, I can't buy shoes in any local store, so I'm grateful that I can count on brands like New Balance to fit consistently. These are my 3rd or 4th 990s, and with each new pair my feet give a sigh of grateful relief. My usual size is 8 1/2 N in most shoes, but I always go up one full size in these for extra comfy toe room. I don't think that they run small -- I just like to be able to wiggle my toes! I have replaced the insoles sometimes with a Spenco option with more arch support, but the original insoles are fine and I've worn this pair for a month so far with no changes and no complaints.

I love the NB 990v4 sneaker. It feels good, fits well, I can use my orthotics. I wore this shoe on a long overseas trip and only on the most stressful and long days did I think about my feet and how they felt. I don’t think any shoe would have been better. I now have three pairs!

The shoes are fine and the fit is perfect. However, when they arrived only one shoe had a lace in it. The other shoe had no lace and there was not one in the NB box or the Zappos box. I then had to go out and buy a set of laces!!! 45" in gray. You could send me another pair or give me a credit.

New Balance has always been by best choice for me, because of the wider foot option. I love these shoes, I like that the insert can come out and I can insert a small arch support also. Fit was true to what was ordered. Looking forward to wearing them soon!

I have worn new balance since I broke my foot in 2002 and the orthopedist recommenced them. Love them and will continue to buy them.

These are the only sneakers that I can walk in comfortably. The toe has lots of room, which is something I need for hammer toes. I now have two pairs of the 990 shoes. One in black and the other in grey. I would like a white, if it ever becomes available.

Ordered my normal size (7 1/2 Med) and the 990's fit perfectly. I have worn New Balance 990's for 10-15 years and have never been disappointed. Comfort from first minute I put them on. I exercise in them and wear when running errands and wear while doing most everything I do as a retired grandmother. I can say these NB 990's have always been a good choice. I love the new bright pink color on the gray. I have noticed many at our local church gym who wear bright colored athletic shoes so I felt very stylish wearing them. They are a little pricey however they are worth every penny when you want comfort and lost lasting wear. Great choice!

Like these New Balance. I’m a 11W and hard to fit. These are great. Allow for bunion without being too loose. Nice toe box. Color dark navy with small cord of orange along top of shoe does nice job for dusk- evening walks. Recommend.

I ordered the 10N, which is what I'd usually bought in running shoes. The toe box felt large, so I tried the 9.5N. That was too short. So I'm staying with the 10N, and appreciating the room to wiggle my toes!

I am surprised by some of the negative comments. I love these shoes. This is the second pair I have purchased. I use one pair for walking on the treadmill and the other pair for daily jaunting about. I wear a size 41 and the size 10's fit perfectly. These shoes are super comfortable and I would highly recommend them. As for style, not sure why people feel they are "ugly". They are not meant to be used for formal attire! Even so, I do not perceive them to be "ugly" by any stretch of the imagination.

This was my first pair of New Balance. I bought them as potential jogging shoes. I ordered a half size larger than my normal size. When I unboxed them, I noticed how heavy they were (as compared to other running shoes I have owned. Perhaps this is a walking shoe.) Even with a half size larger, they were too small. They appear to be well made (and I like the fact that they are made in USA), they just didn't fit my feet.
