I wear 7.5 narrow. Fit well. I like them. Of course, if a shoe ties, I can tighten or loosen how I want the width to feel, but
I do like the toe area...I like bigger toe box and super narrow heel. These seem fine to me.

Another wonderful shoe by New Balance! True to fit. I have an extra-wide foot and often have difficulty finding shoes that fit properly in the toe box and heel. These are perfect. I plan to purchase a second pair in another color.

I have been wearing the W990 for several years now. They are a very sturdy walking shoe. Haven't found anything that works as well for my feet. Enough room in the toe box so my feet aren't cramped. Hopefully they will not make any major changes to them so I can keep buying them for the next 20 years. They do need better color choices.

You can't go wrong with New Balance, and I discovered the 990 series years ago and haven't used any other shoe since! I need excellent arch support with room for plastic orthotic inserts, and this shoe meets my needs. I switch between 2 pairs of this style shoe, and they are such excellent quality that I wear the support out before any stitching or sole begins to fall apart or wear away. I am on my feet 100% if the time at work, and usually walk 10,000 steps a day. These shoes are excellent - well worth the higher price tag.

The fit and size are perfect. My street shoes are a size 8AA and my New Balance are the same and fit perfectly. Once upon a time New Balance ran a half size small and I had to order an 8.5AA. I am so glad they got with the program and the sizes are the same.

Fit and size were fine; this is my 3rd pair of this model and the size has been consistent. The pale pink is an easy color to live with. Shoes are very comfortable, and wearable from the start. Style, though, is a little too klunky. But to me, the fit and comfort are the most important qualities for a shoe.

I have been wearing the 990 for twenty years now for fast walking every morning. I love the stability and support the shoe provides. However, this size 6 was too short for me. Either my feet are growing or the shoe is a bit short. Also, discovered I need the wide but in a size 6 1/2 to get a wide enough toe box.

After having foot injury and later surgery (fusion of bones of foot), finding comfortable shoes was impossible. In fact, I finally decided that daily pain was unavoidable. Even trying on shoes in the store caused my foot to ache for hours.
I went to the local New Balance store. They did the computer assessment and made recommendations, but every shoe was painful. I was heading to the front door to leave when the manager suggested to the clerk, "try the 990". Wow, with the very first step, I could feel the difference. I have since purchased two pair, v4, black and seafoam. Wow, I love these shoes. I have no idea what makes the difference. Due to the foot injury and surgery, I now walk on outside of the foot, unable to walk flat as it should be. As soon as I walked in these shoes, I could feel it doing something with the heel. For the first time in years, I am walking with pressure distributed evenly over the entire sole. I'm not having to place foam cushions on my foot each day to avoid excess pressure and pain. I have no idea what they did, but I'm sold on the 990.
I'm looking forward to seeing new colors in version 5. Are they worth the steep price? I can walk comfortably again. What's that worth? Priceless.

Awesome supportive feeling shoe with cushion. Love the narrow! Pretty navy that sliver of orange contrast is sharp. For my clothes the green is a better fit or I'd have kept these since they won't show dirt as fast, and they really are stylish in that color combo.

I bought this shoe when the first Komen Pink was issued! I still think it is one of the best overall athletic shoe around. Pricey however; made in the USA. Energizer Bunny great!! BTW, I submitted one review earlier..

I liked my first pair of New Balance so much I got a second pair with a sole insert for an additional cost so I could rotate my workout shoes. Very subtle pretty green color. True to fit for me. I buy ½ size up from my regular size for my bunions and finicky toes that need a lot of toe room and they never feel too big.

Very pretty subtle pink color. My favorite New Balance shoes for walking. Very comfortable and well padded. The shoe laces seemed a tad bit too short, but they work and I don't need to double tie them with any excess. Easy to clean with a damp cloth on outside of shoe.

This shoe is a standard shoe for me. I have heel spurs, arthritis in the knees, wear sports orthotics and this has been my go to shoe for years. It is the workhorse of shoes. I like the gray because it's neutral and doesn't make my feet look huge. Great shoe.

After a lot of trouble looking for shoes that fit comfortably, it was wonderful to finally find these Then New Balance announced that this model is being redesigned and won't be available once they're phased out. So, I bought another pair in a different color just to have them in case the redesigned ones aren't the same. They are very supportive and my feel don't hurt after walking around all day like they do in most other shoes. The heel box may be too deep for some feet, but with my orthotics the depth is perfect. Some reviews criticize the style/look of the shoe, but I don't agree. For me comfort is the number one priority anyway.

I absolutely love this shoe and I paid $174. If I had the money I would buy another pair to keep clean for special outings.l I have worn it every day since I got it and when I put it on I mentally noted that it felt like it was meant for my feet. Perfect fit but I had to get half size larger than normal to insert my orthotics.

I bought these to wear to work. I walk on concrete 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. My last shoes lasted me about a year, they were Ugg tennis shoes. I love the color. Very pretty. So far the style and the fit seem really nice. Time will tell if they will last. I’ve had these for a little over a week now, and so far I’m happy with them.
