I am disappointed with this shoe. I was looking for a running shoe to do agility with my dogs and I thought these would be great. They had the motion control my podiatrist recommended. These shoes are so heavy that I feel I am walking in army boots. They also are not very soft to walk in. They need a padded insole insert or something to feel more comfortable. They are very expensive also. Usually when I wear athletic shoes I don't even notice the shoes because they are so comfortable. I certainly notice these shoes and comfort is not a word I would use.

I've never spent this much on a pair of shoes and this is why. They are no better than any other at a lesser price. Walking a couple of miles the balls of my feet are burning. Added orthodontics, didn't really help on longer walks and that's an additional expense. Wouldn't recommend.

Very unhappy with these shoes. I certainly didn't realize they were so heavy when purchasing them, they just seemed supportive. Now I'm stuck with worn sneakers that are like lead weights and when I contacted the company, they realize they are very heavy shoes. No where before wearing them did I know they would hurt my legs from the weight and I am in decent shape. Would not recommend these at all.

My feet HURT when I wear these shoes. I bought them for work. I walk on a concrete floor all day. The plantar fasciitis is bad in my left heel whenever I wear these. i can barely walk after wearing these shoes all day. The inserts that come in the shoes are so thin! Wish I hadn't wasted my money on these shoes. Cheaper shoes are more comfortable.

I bought these several months ago, and wanted to wait until I had really used them to write a review. First, my right shoe had a piece on the inside that was not sewn down, like my left shoe had. I let that go. But what I cannot ignore is the plantar fasceitis that I now have from these shoes. I had to go back to wearing my thrashed old pair of Sauconys. I had not worn my NB990s for a couple of months, so I thought I would give them a try on a weekend day when I was hanging out with friends. There is was again, that agonizing sharp pain in my heel area, from only a few hours of wearing it while hanging out with my friend. Have they not heard of gel technology? I may try some inserts, but seriously, for the money they should have the heel cushion down. I have been a runner/athlete for decades and I am no brand loyalist so I have had all different brands of running shoes. I have never had plantar fasceitis until I about a month after I started wearing the 990s to work every day. So disappointed. I will have to give these away.

I've worn New Balance for years with perfect comfort or fit. Why did they discontinue the 587?

I was looking forward to getting this pair of new balance. I am very disappointed in these shoes, because they are really uncomfortable. The only bright side of these shoes is that they are cute looking. Would not recommend for running, might do for walking.

I bought the 990 only 4 months ago, They are falling apart.
