I returned these shoes because I did not like the fit of them. As a previous reviewer noted the tongue was very long and the shoe was not that comfortable. While I have had several pair of NB shoes in the past, these did not feel comfortable like my NB 883 does.

As a now size 11.5N, I exclusively wore New Balance for many years. After all, there are only very few manufacturers that make narrow, let alone past size 8. I discovered Asics a few years ago and haven't gone back. I purchased these non-Asics because I was unable to find my size in Asics ANTWHERE. However, these New Balances are not snug enough, especially in the toe box, which was too roomy for me. I have returned the shoes. In the meantime, I did order and receive the only 11.5N sneakers on Zappos -- some Asics - -which, thankfully, were $65 cheaper too. :)

Have worn very comfortable NB 990 Black shoes for past 4 years. Two pairs, consecutively lasting two years each and still have some wear and tear to give. I've had these new shoes for 3 weeks and they are stitched wrong, color already fading, hurt my feet and have only walked in them, no exercise yet. Can't wear more than two hours before having to take them off from pain in heel, arch, top of feet, basically discomfort. Last two pair of 990 were so comfortable, I could have slept in them after the first week. Thought I ordered 990 however after looking more closely sent V990. Are these permanent replacement for 990? Not happy

The length of these feels larger than marked. The wide width is not wide at all. I didn't exchange for an extra wide, as the wide was very narrow. The heel slips! Not cushioned at all. Much more stiff than a typical stability shoe. Returned. No more New Balance ??

These shoes have no traction. I would not recommend them...they are unsafe in rainy conditions.

I love the color/style...but the right shoe will not stop squeaking. I use orthotics and haven’t had this problem before. I am getting a headache every time I wear the shoes. It’s only the right shoe. Thanks

I have worn New Balance for many years. They were very comfortable and loved that I can get them in narrow width. Then each pair had less and less arch support so I could not wear them. Decided to give them another try and again almost no arch support. Otherwise the shoes fit well and would be very comfortable. I can't justify paying $170 for shoes and then having to buy an orthotic to make them wearable. So sorry but they have to go back.

I am an RN and bought these to wear to work. I have been a loyal New Balance customer for years as I have long, narrow feet. My shoes usually provide great support for 6 months. With these shoes I began to have lower back pain after 2 months. I added an orthotic and managed to get one more month of wear. Am switching to Brooks in hopes of finding shoes worth the $$.

I usually like NB and was excited to finally see new colors. But---I didn't like the color at all once I got it. I hated how it looked on my foot and other reviewers are right about the tongue of the shoe being unusually puffy. I returned them. I think NB can do better to make a shoe with arch support with a little more style. I went to the Asics Gel Kayano 25. Loved them from the instant I put them on.

Ever since my foot doctor told me to wear the New Balance 900 series, its the only sneaker I wear. However these are going back because the tongue is huge and rubs against my ankle.

I really don't see what all the hype is about this shoe. I have been wearing these for about 3 months now and they are not the most comfortable shoe. I can't wait to take them off! For starters they look huge on my feet. I wear a 7 1/2. There is almost too much padding on the top of the shoe and not enough cushion on the bottom. They make my heels hurt. Why should I have to pay for another orthotic when I paid so much for the shoes to begin with? They also make my feet hot probably because there is so much padding on top of the shoe. Why is this needed? I don't mind paying for a pair of shoes that are worth it but in my opinion these just are not and I won't be buying these ever again.

I bought these after a bad leg break and subsequent surgeries. I was in PT for months. Just starting to get back to working out. I bought these because they were recommended by NB for people needing good support, and mostly because they were leather and not the wimpy, sad excuse for an upper shoes that comprise most of the running shoe market. I was a serious (6:15 miles for at least 10 miles at high elevations) runner for decades. So I have owned many running shoes. The cushion in the heel is nearly non-existent. It's absolutely horrible. The arch support is pretty short. And they make my toes go numb after 30 minutes or so of intense cardio, no matter how Ioose I make the laces. Just a poorly designed shoe. I definitely wear between a 7.5 and an 8 in womens (never larger than an 8). And these are pushing it. So sad for the price. Its seems no one can make a decent running shoe anymore. I have owned New Balance for decades. This might be the end of my relationship with them.

These are a very nice sneaker, but not much padding or cushion. I was hoping for more due to heel issues that i have. Nice looking, but i'd like more cushioning overall.

Shoe was a little wider than I expected and with a high arch did not feel there was any support there

my fifth pair of new balance and third of this style. sizing has definitely changed, so very wide and a half size larger. less arch support than others. expensive and not worth the money.

This is a great shoe, EXCEPT that after only a couple of months my toe wears through the mesh. I would love this shoe if New Balance extended the leather so it would cover the big toe. I have purchased two of these, but this model is a waste of my money for only 2 months wear.

This shoe was too small in length and width. I thought I would like the neutral color, but there is no excitement with this gray. I am going to go back to Asic's Cummulus

Sadly, I have to return theses sneakers. For the price of $164.00 I expected a comfortable supportive sneaker. Not so much. Very uncomfortable and no arch support at all.

I bought a pair of these shoes and wore them for about 3 months. At first I was pleased with the appearance, fit and comfort of these shoes. I have arthritis and plantar fascitis and they came highly recommended. I have been wearing them to work in a library nearly every day. Now they have a hole in the toe. These shoes are not inexpensive. I expected them to last longer at that price and with relatively gentle use. The salesperson told me they would last at least 6 months. I am so disappointed.

Have had the shoes for a very long time and have never been able to wear them. They are weirdly uncomfortable. Should have sent back when I had a chance. The New Balance I bought before are perfect and I wear them daily.

I'm very disappointed. At a premium price and being made in America I expected more in terms of comfort and quality. I found them to run narrow, with a stiff unyielding upper, not much padding around the ankles and heels, and very little cushioning. In addition, where the tongue attaches to the inside of the shoes the tongues were unfinished crumpled blobs of rough fabric and foam that rubbed the tops of my feet. I can't send these overpriced uncomfortable shoes back soon enough. Thank goodness for Zappos excellent return policy.
