Love this shoe . This is the second pair I have purchased. A very comfortable shoe.

The size on the box was a size smaller than what I had actually ordered. The box was mislabeled.

I dig this shoe more than I thought I would. Super comfortable. I feel like they are going to break in very well.

These are the third pair of McGuffey plain toes Ive purchased. The first tail are older (brown and black). I bought a new brown pair as my older brown pair are wearing out after 8 years. The new shoes look great. However, although theyre the same exact size as my older pair 10 1/2 M), they are much more narrow and hurt my feet. Unfortunately, I assumed they would stretch out with more wear, but that is not happening. I have resorted to wearing my work out Older McGuffeys while I look for a new replacement.

I am really pleased with these shoes. I wear a 9.5 on the two pairs of J&M dress shoes I own, but I needed a 10 with these shoes cause it was too tight.

Nice leather on the shoe. I wanted more comfort, if youre looking for a nice shoe for the beach. This one is ok. Not every day. I wanted dresser shoes.

My left shoe starts the day squeaking then gets quiet around mid afternoon. But the right shoe starts squeaking. Its coming from the insole below my arch. Very frustrating bc the shoe is super comfortable. I just dont like announcing myself all day long

They fit my wide feet well and are very comfortable. But there is a squeak (that I can feel) in the midfoot insole that is difficult to get rid of. I feel like there should be a forum or something since I see this issue on a lot of j&m shoes

perfect fit, just what I wanted & needed

Having been a JM fan for over 65 years, your shoes are all terrific! These shoes are extremely comfortable and go with all my casual cloths. I now have 20 pair of JM shoes and everyone one is my favorite. Thanks for giving me happy feet!

Comfortable shoes that look stylish. My only complaint is the laces are too long.

For someone with a wide toe box, the width on these shoes is so needed as it's hard to find comfy business casual wide shoes. They look good, provide good sole support, and I can wear them daily without pain. The big disappointment with this purchase is the shoe laces. This is the second pair of these shoes I've bought and the first pair had much better laces. I inquired with customer service and they said there was nothing they can do which seemed odd and disappointing for expensive shoes.

J&M had the shoes I wanted in the size I need. Their sizes are more accurate than some other shoes I have been trying on from lesser brands. They look great and are comfortable.

I like the look of the shoes, but they were too narrow for my feet. I am going to rate them that way.

Noticed the McGuffey Plain Toe when looking for a new black/gray shoe to wear to work and the gray option was discontinued. I need something business casual that can be worn with chinos or jeans and not look out of place. I also wanted a shoe that looks good, is well made, and fits my wide toe box. The leather was a bit stiff at first but loosened up by the end of the first day wearing them. The shoe looks great, feels great, and my hope is that it turns out to be a good deal with build quality. I work for a non profit so I can't afford to buy new J&M shoes every year or so.

I'm enjoying the simplicity but just right style of the Plain Toe. They fit true to size. To me they're a little narrow. It's taking a couple wearings to form to my feet, but I can see myself putting these into my rotation!

SIZER INDICATED THAT THE SHOE SIZE WOULD BE THE SAME AS MY RUNNING SHOES. INSTEAD, THEY RAN A HALF SIZE LONGER.
