Didn't feel right. Very slim shoe compared to the other foam padded J&M shoes in this category

Someone else posted pictures, the fake stitched "welt" that goes around the outer perimeter of the show separates where the shoe flexes. Happened in about a week of wear.

I've worn the shoes fewer than ten times. The stitching around the edges is not holding the sole to the shoe and a stitch on the top of the shoe has come out. Not the quality I expected for the price. I'm pretty disappointed because while I like the shoes and they're comfortable, they're just not holding up. I've added pictures to illustrate. I wish the quality was better because they are comfortable and do look nice.

My left shoe starts the day squeaking then gets quiet around mid afternoon. But the right shoe starts squeaking. It's coming from the insole below my arch. Very frustrating bc the shoe is super comfortable. I just don't like announcing myself all day long

Within 2-3 months of infrequent use, the shoe's insole flattened. There is no longer expected support or padding

Shoe looks great but the regular width is too narrow. Returned via Fed Ex 2 weeks ago and still waiting for refund?!

I ordered the shoe from an old pair I have, which I really liked. They are 9 1/2 M, I ordered the same size. It is definitely like one size smaller.

Disappointed with this purchase. I had an associate at the store size me and convince me of a size different than my normal size. However as this being my first purchase from Johnston and Murphy and they didn't have my size in stock I have it a shot. The shoe initially fit, but tight. After they broke in the cushion didn't give well and I now have a shoe I won't be wearing again.

I bought this shoe a couple of years ago and have been wanting to write a review. The sole is absolutely awful as it picks up dirt, small stones, grass, literally anything. The whole shoe fell apart after about a year of wearing it and I'm so disappointed in a brand I thought was high quality from previous shoes I owned as a child. I will not buy anymore Johnson and Murphy shoes anymore as the quality is 1/10th of what it was when I was a child and a pair of J&M shoes lasted me almost 15 years. I'm so sad and disappointed.

The shoes are comfortable other than the pain on my heels. I tried wearing different socks and still pain. It rubs and causes me blisters. I have many Johnson's Murphy shoes and this is the only pair I have had an issue with.

Bought these shoes twice. After 3 months the first pair started squeaking, both shoes around the same time. A squeak with each step. Maddening. I am not one who often returns things, so I assumed maybe I just got a bad pair and bought a new pair, exact same style and size. Within a month the right shoe started squeaking just like the first pair. My wife insisted I take them back, which I did. They were helpful at the store, and allowed me to return them and apply the price towards a new pair, but something is going on with the quality of these shoes. I don't have this issue with any other shoes or sneakers.

Worn a few times thinking they would break in but still hurt my feet. Also the rubber is coming apart. Not worth it.

This has been my go to comfort/ casual shoe. Third pair, but this last purchase was very poor in quality. Leather thin as paper, color poor and finish is awful. Contacted customer service but no reply. Very disappointed.

REALLY upset with this purchase! I can't even get them repaired by a shoe repairman! They "appear" to be stitched oil leather (which is exactly what they need to be), but instead they are glued and glue doesn't stick to oiled anything! They started coming apart after just a coyof wearings. WHAT a waste of money, time and materials on all parts. This has changed how I think about J&M for SURE!

Casual wear on the shoe began to fade the color at creases within a week. The rubber started to separate from the right shoe within a few weeks.

Great looking shoe but it was way too small. I really wanted to wear this shoe but there was no way. Had to send it back.
