I walk my dog every morning about 3-5km's in these boots. This my 2nd pair now, my 1st pair I bought in fall of 2018. They are still in one piece, no holes, just no support left this fall 2021. The size 13 EE width fits true to size. The only downside is that for being out walking everyday the treads are very mild and it can be a slippery walk. However, making them more aggressive might take away from how light, comfortable, and supportive they are. The boots fit my orthotics well. Delivery was only 2 days and was no extra charge. I am a very happy customer and have ordered NB shoes online several times over the years and have always been pleased with the service and product quality!

I love my new New Balance hiking boots. I have osteoarthritis in my ankles and these boots really help out.

My second boots like this. Not bad for me. Hope it will serve last longer than previous 2 years.

I got these for my brother and he is a 10 but I had ordered a 10.5 by mistake and he said that was great because the 10 would have been rather small. He wears them to work and really likes them after being on his feet all day. The boots have plenty of cushion because he even feels a little taller when wearing them but he doesn't mind because they are very comfortable.

This is the fifth pair of this model that I have owned. They are extremely comfortable, waterproof so great in the snow and rain and very rugged. Could not ask for a better shoe.

I'd give this an excellent, but note my partner, for whom I purchased this, must still make sure it is waterproof; he has yet to install the metal "bridge" that spans a creek and leads down to the lake by his recreational property so he can go boating and fishing. Meanwhile, he tells me this boot is infinitely comfortable. He loves walking long distances in it on city trails. Soon he'll use it to go hiking in the woods. Also note, we ordered this 1/2 size large, per the advice that it runs small given by previous reviewers. Adding in that 1/2 size extra in length, the boot fits him perfectly.

These shoes are so comfortable would highly recommend.

Love the shoe! As a farmer, this is my primary work boot love the fit and water resistance. True to size. Been wearing this same boot for 10 years? Been a long time.

I wear these boots almost every day to my woodworking shop. They are the MOST COMFORTABLE boots EVER!!! And, they last!! I only ordered a new pair to replace an identical pair that I had worn for almost 2 years!! They REALLY hold up to everyday wear and tear and are comfortable to wear all day.

I use the boot for day hikes and casual wear. The high top adds stability and keep trail dust out. The pull-tap loop on the back of the boot is too small to put my finger through to assist in pulling the boots on.

After wearing steel toed shoes for work for 30 years, retired now and have bought nothing but New Balance shoes due to the fact I can get them in extra extra wide not like the average fit in other stores. True to size and the most comfortable shoes I have owned. On my 4th. Pair I use them that much !

First new pair of shoes in years and they fit and feel fantastic.. I wear them for walking outdoors all the time. Prior to this purchase my feet would get tired quickly and I developed a lot of foot pain. I am totally satisfied with these new shoes and will purchase other New Balance products in the future.

My old pair after 10 years cracked and the sole wore down after MANY miles. These are great replacement. A few weeks in feels like an old shoe. 4EEEE!

Shoes are great! However, the shoe doesn't come in 7.5 4e. And the sole comes loose after a year or two. But overall I like them.

Bought the New Balance 1400 for hiking in the New Mexico hills. They are comfortable, are durable enough to last on the uneven, rock and samd, snow and mud trails here. Like the design, very comfortable and water tight.

I have 2 Grey and 2 brown... both brown are 11 and both grey are 10.5... the Podiatrist recommended the I go 1/2 size larger... She saw that I had 2 toes that were bent... I actually broke 2 during the Cuba Bay of pigs and they never healed right... anyway the 10.5 fits better and is more comfortable so I will stay with that size... I love these shoes... I have extra for fear of the model disappearing like the previous model the I loved... that disappeared... I have knee problems from a snowmobile accident in Alaska.. I struggled with getting he strings tight and loose... Finally one day I made them really tight.... That was the answer... they are so tight they are like a pair of gloves.... so comfortable all over... solved the problem with my knee now I can walk much further... may not be the answer for some but for me the shoes are so unusually comfortable... I have added inserts and cushioned socks so who knows...

They feel like you are wearing sneakers. We wear them everyday. We like that it has the rollbar. Both my wife and I buy these same style boot (although she buys the female version). The only downside is the shoelaces. They are those round nylon slippery ones that always come undone. Luckily learned a trick. Always wrap around 2x instead of the once on that very 1st loop and then double knot the bow.

I've been wearing NB 928s for years. I needed a high top shoe for the wet and cold Oregon winters. So far they have been great on both counts. I have wide feet and wear an orthotic. I am pleased that the 1400 has the width to accommodate my needs. They look great and are lightweight, so they are comfortable to wear for hours.
