These are the absolute best boots for my husbands 6E width. They are the only hiking boots that have ever been wide enough for him. The plus is that they are also very well made, look great, and overall very comfortable. Please never discontinue these!

I wear the shoes for yard work. The shoes are the most comfortable work boots imaginable. They run slightly bigger. The width is right on. You won't go wrong with. a purchase. They clean up great for casual wear.

I have a brown pair and a supportive shoe because of having ankle varus in my right side I need a supportive shoe. This gives another to rotate into mix.

Comfortable great every day shoe provides great support for all activities. This is my fourth pair great colors also but the brown is my favorite

I use these as my daily work boots. We raise cattle and they hold up to the daily grind of farm work. I can't imagine a better choice to use as hikers. They are lightweight, soft and comfortable. Waterproof means exactly that and I haven't had wet feet yet. Plan on upgrading the inserts because I found the ones provided by NB to be lacking. This is a wonderful boot. I ordered a second pair just to keep on reserve, even though my originals are wearing well and exceeding my expectations. I love my 1400's!

Wore them 1st time for work during a 12" snow storm. Feet were comfortable and dry all day.

Comes in narrow, that's a big plus !!! Waterproof, big plus !!! Insulated, big plus !!!

These are the best boots for a guy with narrow feet. They are comfortable and fit great.

Replaced my old 1569 which was a great shoe. The 1400 seems to be comparable. The wide 4E fit is the same as the old. Shoes are comfortable immediately.

I wear the boots every day to work which is in the construction field and the boots were recommended by a shoe store. Well worth it.

I work outside and need a shoe that is waterproof, comfortable, and provides support to handle miles of walking. I went through 3 pairs of allegedly waterproof shoes before getting these from New Balance. I feel like I'm wearing slippers and never worry about my feet getting wet. Perfect for me.

I love my boots. They are hands down the most comfortable boot I have ever owned. The way they squish down when you take a step makes them feel great. I wish I could get another pair for when these wear out. They are the only pair I own. I love um!!

I already had a pair I leave at a vacation home, so wanted a pair to use at our main house. They fit me well (13 narrow), aren't very heavy, good for hiking even in wet conditions.

This is my third pair of 1400s. Excellent shoe. Like I am wearing slippers. I do find it funny, though, that when I pay 20% off for this pair of shoes the next day I receive a 25% and now a 30% off email. This has happened before with New Balance. Just saying.

First online boot purchase for my husband's birthday. Fits him like a glove. Ordered size up and narrow.

I got these shoes after repeatedly twisting my ankle while playing disc golf on courses with falling leaves and stepping on unseen sticks, nuts, or holes. High tops provide support and shoes are very comfortable.

I've loved New Balance since I started buying running shoes nearly 3 decades ago. I have Extra Wide feet not unlike a duck so good fitting shoes and boots are very important to me. I tried Extra Wide boots from other makers and it seems like the soles of their footwear is the same as more narrow ones. I love my 1400 Hiking Boots which fit perfectly, are waterproof, and were priced less than expected1
