Another reviewer lauded the availability of hard-to-find narrow widths. i'm singing in harmony, appreciating the availability of 4E width. My foot doctor urged me to wear a hiking boot for ankle support after surgery. Very hard to find a good hiking boot wide enough to get my heel into, not to mention good structural support without feeling like a heavy space boot. I have bought a lot of NB shoe ware, so I shouldn't have been surprised. I wish it had the New Balance Rollbar structure, but it does fine as it is. The price is significant, but doesn't require me to sell the farm as some other major labels do for their quality items.

I'm loving these so far. My orthotics fit in them perfectly. They provide support. They're comfortable and I don't feel like Frankenstein with my size 12 4E feet.

Out of the box comfortable. I have several pairs of New Balance and these continue the long term quality and comfort of the brand. Great boots, ideal for our "slip and slid" weather in South Dakota. The Thinsulate insulation is a plus, especially since it will be -20 next week....

I purchased this for my husband who's feet were killing him. Had them for two weeks and he loves them! They have great support for his wide feet.

Extremely comfortable for my husband. It is usually very difficult for him to find shoes that fit properly on his size 13, extra wide, high arched feet - and these hiking boots are perfect. He walks everywhere & is very athletic. Definitely recommend these boots.

I always have trouble getting boots for work. I have wide feet, so I usually have to go a size bigger to a 13. Not with these I got 12 6E and they fit perfectly. I drive a concrete mixer so my boots are always getting dirty and I'm hiding them off before I get back in the truck. So far they are holding up great. It's only been a week but if they only lasted a year I will be happy. $150 a year to have feet that aren't sore at the end of the day would be well worth it.

Bought these for my 14 year old son (size 14) and he wore them immediately on a strenuous three day hike in the white mountains of NH. Said they were great with no sore spots or rubbing. Even played an hour of pickup basketball in them after the hike.

fit correct for stated size. Workmanship on barely worn boot appears high. I wear NB only and this is my 2nd pair of boots in 10 years. Would highly recommend them and Zappos.

I was worried about the size I ordered.Turned out perfect, ordered the same size as Merrel shoes. 11.5 was exactly the same so I think they run true to size.

Good shoe for hiking--well made! The wide width is perfect.

True to size in 9.5 4E. Have your feet measured by a real shoe store fot accurate sizing if these don't fit right. Too many people never have an honest measurement done. Cheaper shoe stores do not stock many if any wide shoes, so they fib and fit you in a half size up or more in order to make a sale. "Let's try these, see how they feel" is a common ploy. No way will you know if they will feel good after walking 500 feet. Or if a bunion will develop after years of thinking that their estimate is a correct size for you. Well constructed, excellent NB top quality hiking or all around low rise boot. Would buy again.

these are truly remarkable! it is very nearly impossible to find narrow boots, but these hug my feet with a secure support. Size is right on for me. I'm going to order another pair as soon as they are available (I got the last pair in stock!) The price is ridiculous, but so is everything these days. (At 75 I remember when best dress shoes were $15!)

I'm buying my second pair today - these really are the best pair of shoes that I have owned in my adult life. I am 6'6" tall and 340 pounds - the first week I owned these shoes we did 30 miles at Disney without even a blister. Since then I have had the shoes through water (they really are water proof, until it comes over the top) and numerous rocky trails. My first pair is barley showing any wear but I wanted to order the next pair before I could no longer get them. Really its a great shoe!
