These shoes have several disappointing features: 1) Soles make loud noises when you're walking. 2) Soles are very squishy, particularly in the heel area. Because your foot depresses the heel area significantly, the back of the shoe raises relative in height, and the elastic presses against your Achilles tendon at a higher level than most shoes. This is uncomfortable. 3) They are narrow in the toe area, and due to their fabric construction, won't stretch (much). 4) The squishy sole makes for a stride that takes more effort and coordination than you would exert with a sole of moderate density.

I usually wear a size 5M which is what I ordered. It was comfortable for all of a few minutes before it scraped the back of my heel and the top of the shoes was digging into my foot. I kept wearing it in the house for the next 45 minutes thinking it will get better but it just got worse! I liked the shoe though so figured I should exchange it for a half size larger and see if that helps the problem. It didn't. Though the back of the shoe didn't bother my heel so much, the top of the shoe was still digging into my foot and was extremely uncomfortable.

I own many pairs of Clarks shoes and have never had a problem. I just order a size 8-1/2 wide and they have always fit and looked great. Not this time. My usual size was too short, too wide and dug into my instep. From all the glowing reviews here, I'm assuming I got a defective or missized pair. However, I also ordered a pair of Skechers Empress which look really nice and fit perfectly, so I'm not reordering the Clarks.

One of the most uncomfortable shoes I ever put om my feet. The elastic gore in the front is very uncomfortable and rubs on your feet as you walk. These shoes do not lay flat and are very uneven when you try to walk in them. I am returning them.

It was a very comfortable shoe and I wanted to keep it however, my toe felt cramped. I think it might run small. I am returning it and ordering a size larger. I hope that works as the shoe is attractive and provided good support.

Not wide at all! I also have a high instep and these shoes even with taking out the cushioning are too tight. Like the color and style but if I can't wear it, then it doesn't matter. Would not recommend.

These ran very small and tight in my regular size. Quality was very light and cheap. Returned immediately. Total waste of time.

I ordered this in 7 1/2 Wide, and 8 Medium. They fit exactly the same. Both sizes were so tight across my arch that the next day, I still had marks on both feet. I tried removing the insoles, and though that added space, that top line was miserably tight. I "wore" them while sitting in a recliner with my feet elevated, so they had very little pressure on them. I really wanted to love these, which is why I bought 2 sizes, but they're both going back.

Too big, boat like. Very obviously synthetic. The sides of the material puff out with each step. Ordered my normal Clark's size.

I normally wear a 7 1/2 but the 7 1/2 was too tight, and the 8 was too big. Too bad because it's a great looking shoe and feels super comfy.

Not a good choice if you have a high arch. I will have to return these. Not sure if they are too small or it is the style going so far up on the front.
